Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, & Emerald Remake Speculation Thread

Probably you already know that but in HG/SS Game Freak's building the director says that they are remaking an old game which are R/S/E for sure.

That refers to HGSS itself. They're speaking in past tense.

FR/LG came after Hoenn and assuming kanto came before Hoenn that doesn't follow any timeline so they just release it in order of remakes.

I know some of you don't like basing on what radnom npc say, but in B/W there are some rumors about Team Rocket and Galactic, but (I'm not sure about that, correct me if I'm wrong) there is nothing about Aqua/Magma. So it's possible that B/W and R/S/E take place at similar time.

Also in B/W there is former Team Rocket's grunt (the one from G/S/C and HG/SS, he speaks very incorrect language). He lives in Iccirus City now and has a family. He says that he returned here after Team Rocket got destroyed.

So I think there is some timeline in games however it means nothing in releasing order.

I thought it was talking about HGSS to be honest, only as if it were the original. Like...I'm not sure how to put it. They're talking about how they're remaking a game, within the remake itself, is what I mean. Though I wouldn't oppose them remaking RS, of course.

I suggest they should make a remake of RSE. I think they should still have a Dream World option and make the player go through the game the original way like in Emerald, then add the Pokemon from Gen V after getting the national. If they make it that way, the Pokemon League is sure to power up since they have Gen IV and V pokemon to add to their arsenal. And as for the Battle Frontier... if the remake was to be made... it would be the most addicting because of Pokemon of all 5 generation being there.

Now that we're in the 3DS era, how will this turn out?

That's what makes it so interesting to think about...the 3DS will truly change the main series Pokemon games. If they can take their time and do things right, I see the 3DS games really being memorable and enjoyable.

Even if they say they are going to announce a new game next month I think it would be another spin-off.
I hope we can fight both Team aqua and Magma like in emerald, I think after Rayquaza stops the fight between Groudon and Kyogre in
the Ruby remake Groudon will be in the Cave of origin and you will go confront it, you can get Kyogre in the Marine cave after the
elite four, in the Sapphire remake Kyogre in the Cave of origin, Groudon in Terra cave.

But what about the features that were shown in B/W, such as the Dream World? and will they use a Vs. Seeker that can be usable in all area so whenever you want to raise a weak Pokemon quick, you can rematch trainers you already defeated.

I found some new evidence (I say its unconfirmed though). That evidence: a video on Youtube of the Petalburg Woods music supposedly found in the coding of B/W. I have also found a tiny bit of Youtube evidence of a FR/LG remake from the same guy: he allegedly found the Kanto Champion music, and it sounds MUCH cooler than the FR/LG one.

Somewhat off topic: I also found a video of a remix of the Crystal legendary dogs music, which was remixed and unused for R/S/E.

That Kanto Champion in B/W music is called Battle! World Champion. I plays when fighting World Champion of Nintendo tournaments, so I doubt if it's hint for another Kanto remake.

That is fan made music, music from R/S/E locations, done in B/W style.

The Kanto Champion music is legitimate though, iicr it is heard when you battle the top trainer at the Battle Subway.

I found more evidence in Black & White leading to R/S remakes.

Two version exclusive duos from R/S can be caught in B/W.

Zangoose and Seviper - Caught at Village Bridge.

Lunatone and Solrock - Caught at Route 13 and Giant Chasm.

Also, Plusle/Minun and Volbeat/Illumise can be caught during swarms on Route 6 and Route 3 respectively.

Plusle and Volbeat are more common in Sapphire and both are exclusive to Black. Coincidentally, Black's legendary Pokemon Reshiram has blue eyes, with blue being the dormant color of Sapphire.

Minun and Illumise are more common in Ruby and both are exclusive to White. Coincidentally, White's legendary Pokemon Zekrom has red eyes, with red being the dormant color of Ruby.

Also, another piece of evidence I see is on Elesa's headphone thingies:

One of them is red (Ruby) and one is blue (Sapphire).

I have played Emerald until Verdanturf, when the game deleted itself...it was a bootleg!

I am not sure if a remake is coming soon, maybe it will be on the 3ds.

If they remake RSE then it means the next remake will be Diamond & Pearl which is on the DS which is the current Pokemon gaming system so surely they won't remake a game on the same console lol

They probably won't remake DP earlier than in 2016, and by that time there should be a new console.
