Are you using the emulator provided in the download? Please use that emulator only as otherwise you may experience glitches/bugs.

What device are you using to play/emulate? Use VBA-m for PC and John GBA (Lite) for Mobile devices.

I downloaded it to try the game. It's in a .gba file instead of an .ips file. Isn't sharing of gba files illegal?
