There she was. The absolute pinnacle of beauty. Sunlight radiated off of her golden hair that flowed to her lower back. We caught eyes and she blushed for a moment while she twiddled around with her hair. I took a step toward her, and her to me. We interlaced our fingers and gazed into each others eyes. The golden tone of her eyes matched her hair perfectly; the light that reflected off them seem to be cast away, as if it was unworthy of her flawless presence. She slowly closed her eyes and buried herself into my chest as she let out a small sob. I could feel the hot tears run from her faced to my chest. I gripped her even tighter and held her head to my chest. I let out a small whisper of reassurance "Please don't cry..It's alright. I'm here now.." As the words escaped my lips, she started to cry even harder as she whispered a reply.
"It's..Been so long. You can't possibly know how much I've missed you.." A few more sobs escaped from in between sentences. I drew her out from my chest and stared into her eyes again. She seemed so innocent.. How she could ever fall in love with a person like myself was beyond comprehension. But nevertheless, I loved her as well. Words couldn't possibly describe the feelings I had for her.
"Yellow,...I don't think you could even fathom how much I care for you. I can't possibly put it into words, nor actions, what I feel; and I don't think I ever could. You are indescribable, as are the feelings I harbor for you. You are my everything, my only thing and I wouldn't have it any other way." At this point, I wasn't even listening to what I was saying. I would just let my mind do the talking as I stared into her eyes. With every word I spoke, her eyes filled with even more tears than before; as did my own.
"Lan-.." She could hardly even get out my own name before she collapsed back into my chest in another fit of sobs. As before, I held her close and wrapped her in my arms. I gave her a small kiss on the top of her as a few tears ran down my face. Obviously feeling the touch from my tears, she looked up at my and gave a smile. She brushed my tears away with her thumb as she giggled slightly. And then, there we were again. Staring into each others eyes once again. I felt like I could waste an eternity with her. I felt unimaginable things when with her. I wanted to spend the rest of our days together. I was interrupted from my thoughts of pure bliss by none other than my love herself.
"Lance..." She muttered with a hint of remorse haunting the spoken words. "I love you..And I always will. But..." Tears started flowing out of her perfect eyes again. "But..But what?" I dared to ask as thoughts that I had never hoped to think plagued my mind.
"I...I just don't.." She stuttered her words between the multitude of sobs as she tried to find the right words. "I don't think we should see each other anymore.." There they were. The words I had never hoped to hear in all my days. Time froze, right then and there in my subconscious. I felt another indescribable feeling, but this was far much worse than anything I had ever felt. Tears welled up in my eyes and blurred my vision; they flowed in a steady stream down my face and to my chin. "Why.." I finally mustered up the composition to ask her the question I would kill for an answer to.
"It's just.. I..I just don't know, Lance.." She cried, obviously flustered with herself. She stood on her tiptoes and gave my a small peck on the lips. "Goodbye. I'll always love you, Lance." She stood and waited for a reply, but no words would exit my mouth; no matter how hard I tried. Her heart seemed to sink as she turned and walked away the very way she had came not even a half an hour ago. It wasn't until she was out of sight that I could finally muster words out of my mouth.
"I love you, Yellow..."
