HI guys, I used to casually play pokemon back when Ruby and Sapphire came out, but stopped because someone stole my Gameboy. I recently picked up pokemon Sun, and was wondering if you guys would be so kind as to say if my team is allright? I haven?t played a lot and some pokemon are very new. So here is my idea:
    Decidueye: Grass, Ghost
    Ninetales: Ice, Fairy
    Gardevoir: Psychic, Fairy
    (Ash) Greninja: Water, Dark
    Talonflame: Fire, Flying
    Vikavolt: Bug, Electric

I agree with colours you will need to wait for pokebank to get released in the case of Gardevoir as you have to transfer it either from ORAS or XY. Yeah!! The battles can get fairly difficult to play the Pokemon game. Recently my brother bought me Acheter Pokemon Soleil a roleplaying 7th generation Pokemon series game from the Website of Press-start and we started playing the game on the xbox along with the series of Pokemon moon on the side.

As others have said, you can't get Gardevoir in Pokemon Sun and Moon unless you wait for Pokebank. If you don't want to wait that long, some good alternatives would be Alolan Raichu, Espeon, and Alakazam*.

In Vikavolt's case, it evolves from Charjabug, which evolves at the Vast Poni Canyon, which is the last island in the game. If you don't want to have a Charjabug for that long, or if you're picking Alolan Raichu as an alternative for Gardevoir, then some good alternatives include Araquanid, Golisopod, Pinsir, Scolipede, and Scizor*.

If you haven't played the demo, or if you're going with Araquanid or Golisopod as your Vikavolt alternative, then Ash-Greninja might not be such a good idea, due to type redundancy. Some good alternatives would be Pangoro, Krookodile, Sableye, Weavile, and Alolan Muk.

*if you have someone to trade with.

Thanks guys for all of the suggestions, but when I started playing I managed to get myself a pretty decent team right from the get-go. And the best thing about it is that it is a full alolan pokemon team:
    Ninetales
    Mudsdale
    Salazzle
    Decidueye
    Wishiwashi
    Alolan Raichu

I actually got my Salazzle and my Ninetales in their first evolution from wonder trades :D, talk about lucky.

I can't complain about that team, very solid in-game team, even if Wishiwashi isn't my cup of tea. I personally would've gone with Toxapex in place of Wishiwashi but hey I'm glad you found a team you like! I need to try out a couple of those mons next time I play through Sun :]

I think that team will definitely get you through. No glaring weaknesses and it looks to be a decent balance of physical and special attackers.
