How many people here think some pokemon look cooler before they evolved, I really like haunter and gengar's still really cool, but I think haunter just looks more ghost like than gengar. And I know there's a ton of people who think dragonair looks better than dragonite, even though I think they're wrong (dragonite use outrage!). What do you guys think?

I definetely think Dragonair looks much better than Dragonite. Dragonair just looks so elegant.
I also think Cubone, Wartortle, Ivysaur and Sentret look better than their evolutions.
And of course everyone's going to mention Lickitung, Tangela, Magmar, Electrabuzz, etc.

Nidorina/o, Wartortle, Quilava, Dragonair...basically a lot of my favorite Pokemon.

Skitty. Delcatty didn't appeal so much to me.

And yes, I agree with Season, Electabuzz and Elekid are much better and cuter than Electivire.

Tangela, Magmar, Kirlia (into Gallade), Gligar, Bayleef, and that's all for now:p

Vibrava, Glameow, and most of the starters 2nd evo's excluding Charizard, Swampert, Feraligater, and Blaziken.

    Koffing. Its that simple.

Charmeleon (screw off, it's true. the red is better for it, and Charizard can scream "FYIAD" all it wants; it's a boring design IMO >_>).

Nuzleaf. Shiftry looks like a raging old man that never shaves. I mean, sure, Nuzleaf has thunder thighs, but I'll take the lesser of two evils here.

Lombre, likewise. Ludicolo is grotesque. (Even though I love it secretly because of Miror B.)

Rhydon, Magmar, Nosepass, Magneton, Tangela and Lickitung. No commentary necessary.

There are others, but I can't think of them atm.

Rhydon and Bayleef spring to mind. Also, I think Bulbasaur and Squirtle look much better than their evolutions. And Bagon>Shelgon.

I can name a few I like better then their evolutions... Bayleef, Quilava, Ivysaur, Wartortle, Bellsprout, Pidgeotto, Whismur, Gabite, etc.

I strongly agree with the dragonair part, it looks so elegant and stuff, but of course dragonite is stronger. And to me Pidgeotto looks slightly better than Pidgeot e.o

I have to agree with Dragonair. It looks more elegant, and I'm not too crazy about Dragonite's design in general.

Tangela and Lickytung are one who looked better than evolving. I mean, who would like a boogyman and a big baby as a pokemon(unless they want it because of their stats in battles)?

    >.>

Rhydon looks waay better than Rhyperior!
And Piplup looks a lot better than Prinplup (not Empoleon though)
    ;)

Quilava, Sneasel, Vigoroth, Shieldon, Piplup, Grovyle. They're all too cute to evolve.

    Scyther.

    /end thread.

    /END, I SAID!

    QFT.

Also, my winner here would be Zigzagoon (looks funnier, even sturdier, and far more huggable). Kadabra, Seadra, Dragonair, Chansey and Cacnea look much more stable and natural than their evos, don't know if I'm explaining myself well. Mareep is a borderline case (Flaaffy looks weird but Ampharos is pure win).

Also, I guess the Pokémon that received "Lame Evos" (ie: Gen I-to-IV evos) practically count here by definition.I mean come on, there was absolutely nothing bad or wrong with Rhydon, Magmar, Electabuzz, Tangela and Togetic. Yes Togetic! I mean WTF is Togekiss suppossed to be anyways? Pretty much the only special evos that ended up good were Weavile, Gliscor and Yanmega (all Gen II).

Of the starters evos, definitively Bayleef and Chimchar.
