I rode out bikes along the island. "This will hopefully alot of fun!" I said as I pushed my black think rimmed glassed on my face. While I was having my nice ride to the laboratory, I had accidentally hit a tree. "Wow that had hurt!" I said getting back up. I got to my feet and popped soem candy in my mouth I took from my desk at the Pokeblock company I woked at. "I should really get some new candy." I said smiling as I got back on my bike and rode to the lab.

When I came upon the lab, we were in awe to the shap. "Wow, this is beautiful architecture!" I exclaimed. I kept jumping up and down and hit the outside wall of the building and then walked in.

"Hello everyone, my name is Genji Saotome! I am pleased to meet all of you. I hope we will enjoy our time together." I said as I put my name into the keyboard after the rather large boy had.

After departing Victor checked his poke'gear. He had it upgraded before he left for Palroot. After getting off he went towards the map. The marketplace stood before him. The poke'gear said that the lab was close to the marketplace so Victor would have to search a little.

After a few minutes Victor managed to work his way to the middle of the marketplace. The sun started to beat down on him. So he took his small backpack off and searched it. There was a bottle of water still inside so he took it and opened it. The cool water slid down his throat and into his stomach. It was very refreshing. So Cain worked his way North and saw the poke'lab. It had such architecture that marveled Cain.

But he didnt have time to look at buildings so he walked into the lab with a silent look on his face. He went over towards a keyboard and punched his name in. Silently he waited for it to Acknowledge him in some way.

Chris continued to watch the battle. The green dragonlike Pokemon - Tyranitar, as Professor Aspen called it - then stood still. Its trainer, Levi, then threw a strange black sphere at the Pokemon and it became engulfed in energy. Then, metal plates appeared from nowhere and attached themselves to Tyranitar. The creature then turned back to its foe - Hitmonlee, one of his peers called it - and began an onslaught of attacks unnaturally fast for a creature of its size. Professor Aspen then explained, "That's the newest of Pokemon trainers' gear. An electrical sphere able to read a Pokemon's build and polymorph into robotic armor. The speed of Tyranitar was enhanced by the arena itself. We've found a way to make time flow inconsistently within a sealed chamber in order to create a new type of battlefield. It will give Pokemon with good timing an edge, or Pokemon with high speed a disadvantage at random."

Chris was amazed at this technological achievement, and yet he couldn't determine the exact stat formula on his cheap, homemade Pokedex. He frowned at his homemade device in front of him.

Andrew finished eating his lunch, and started out for the Pokemon Lab. He remembered that he had uplaoded the map on his Pokedex. He got out his red Pokedex, and pushed a couple of buttons. Soon enough, he had found the map. He followed the map, not looking to see where he was going. He tripped over a rather lage rock and kissed the sidewalk. He got up and was amazed to see that the rock had hands and a face. He told his Pokedex to do a search, and he found out it was a Geodude. Too bad he wasn't a trainer though. He ran along, this time aware of where he was going, and made it to the oddly designed Pokemon Lab. He walked in to the elevator, when it asked him to enter his name on a holographic keyboard. The ride finished and he walked into the building to see 5 people watching a Pokemon battle.
"Hi! My name is Andrew McGow Pali. You can call me Andy, if you like. Nice to meet you." he held out his hand a waited to be greeted.

I walked away from the battle a bit bored. "I care about myself with a pokemon rather then watching someone else battle." I said with a huff and walked back to the lab. I sat down cross legged and pulled a bento box out of my bag. I saw down and began to eat the contents of the box which consisted of rice, Sashimi, and A muffin.

"I buy the wierdest bentou combinations." I said eating with a smile. I beagn to watch the battle a bit mroe in depth and felt a bit less bored. "Well, I guess this is a bit more fun then I first thought."

Victor noticed there was a battle happening. Victor like most trainers observed the battle with great interest. There were spectacular moves between both trainers. Then he started to observe the pokemon more closely. It was against a Tyranitar and a Hitmonlee. Both pokemon he had seen before in many pokemon battles he had observed.

Then he noticed the Tyranitar had armored plates attatched to it. Victor was amazed. It seemed that there were even more tools for battles. He knew that sooner or later he wanted to use this technology

Andrew walked up to watch the battle that everyone, but one, was watching. He immedieatly noticed the Pokemon from his studdies:Tryanitar and Hitmonlee. But, there was one thing that looked weird about the Tyranitar: it had medal plates covering it's body. He heard that this was a new item for battling that increased speed, and gave them an extra layer of defence. Then and there he decided he wasn't going to use these items to make his Pokemon stronger- he was going to accept his Pokemon for who they are.

"Well, this is kind of funny." Chunk said in his usually annoying voice. "I never knew that you could battle like that before!" He pointed to the screen and sort of got lost in thought, drooling over the intense battle. He was getting excited, he couldn't wait to get his pokemon and have huge elaborate battles inside beautiful, enormous coloseums.

Charlie gave a quick look around the room. He saw the different trainers, flashing each on a huge, greasy smile. Then he reached back into his backpack and pulled out the smashed piece of pie sealed away within a plastic baggy. His mouth watered as he began devouring the helpless piece of pie, apple to be exact, then he turned his attention back to the screen to again get lost in his imagination.

OOC: Are we restricted to what pokemon we catch?

Isnt Chunk a character from the Goonies?

IC:
I took my backpack off and unzipped it. Then I checked inside. Besides an empty water bottle it was pretty bare. Victor liked to pack lightly. Inside was a spare change of clothes and an umbrella. There was nothing else inside. Smirking in disgust he zipped the packback up again and placed it on. Then he went towards the battle. The Tyranitar was starting to win

Tyranitar was a very powerfull pokemon but it didnt have enough speed. Hitmonlee has very good power and speed. But with the metal plating Tyranitar was far more powerfull then Hitmonlee. Victor knew the second he would get a pokemon he would have to train it to face an enemy that would be 100 times the size of it

OOC: The Goonies was my inspiration!

BIC: Charlie looked about the room. He saw different things and doo-hickies that he had no idea what to decide about them. All he knew is that he wanted to be like those guys on the t.v. He wanted to be a world class pokemon trainer. He wanted to be number one! But he'd settle for number two...or three. Just as long as he was up there he would be fine. He kept on staring into the t.v., completely unaware that his eyes were bugging out.

After finishing my Bentou, I continued to watch the battle. "So, tell me whata re all of you here for?" I asked feeling a bit stupid. "Sorry, I jsut kind of want some conversation while I am here. I get kind of fidgety if I don't talk for a while." I began to sweat nervously and looked around.

"Careful, Genji..." I said to my self in my mind. "If you say soemthing else stupid, they will completely alienate you from the group."

((I revised my character a while ago...))

Silver stepped upon the streets of Palroot Town, glancing down at his map for further direction. He was still trying to make sense of the design of the city, and shifted the bag on his back nervously. He didn't want to look like an idiot showing up late to get his first Pokemon at the lab. With any luck, he would get something that wad different from what he was accustomed to. Perhaps a Fire type. They were scarce in islands, due to the large population of Water types.

"Let's see..." Silver looked up and saw the street split in two ahead. Utterly clueless as to where to go, he balled up the map and tossed it into a nearby trash can, then produced a coin from his pocket. He flipped it eagerly, wondering which side it would land on. The coin hit the ground and rolled a short distance away, then stopped and fell. He rushed over to it and looked down at what had come out on top.

Heads.

...What does heads mean? Right or left? Swearing harshly enough to make a group of people turn their heads at him, Silver scooped the coin up and made a plan this time; Heads was left, tails was right. He flipped it again, the enthusiasm drained from the moment. This time it landed flat on its side on the ground, revealing the tails side. Without bothering to pick it up, Silver ran down the right path and stopped in front of an architectural wonder. A sign told him that he had finally found the right place, and he felt like leaping with joy. He restrained, knowing that he was going to be late if he went out of his way for anything else.

Running towards the elevator, he got in and entered his name. A few seconds later he shot up into the actual Lab and stopped on the lowest floor. Getting out of the elevator, Silver wobbled a few steps towards a kindly looking man and three other kids. He finally regained balance and shook his head, wiping the hair from his eyes to get a clear view.

"Forgive me. Although the elevator stopped, I feel like I'm still going...Oh, and my name is Silver. Silver Harper."

I heared someone next to me ask everybody a question "So, tell me whata re all of you here for?"Then he responded "Sorry, I jsut kind of want some conversation while I am here. I get kind of fidgety if I don't talk for a while."

Victor replied "I think that everybody is here for the same reason. To get a pokemon and be a trainer. Thats why im here and im betting thats why your here. Then Victor just noticed he hadnt properly introduced himself. "Oh and I am Victor by the way. Nice to meet you"

"My name is Genji, the pleasure is all mine!" I said with a smile. "I hope I get the pokemon I have wanted for the longest time. It's final evoltuion is my favorite pokemon and its cute and cool in all of its stages." I gabbed with Victor. "Oh I'm sorry, I talk way to much some times."

Chunk became aware of the conversation taking place in the room. He turned, pie still stuffed down his mouth. " Hiya! Nice to meet you Mr. Silver! And you to Mr. Victor! And all of you! My name is Charlie, but my friends just call me Chunk. You can call me whatever you'd like to I don't mind either way."

He smiled at them with a huge grin. His fingers still had crumbs and pie filling crusted to them. He noticed this and wiped them on his pants in order to make a better first impression. "Well, I am excited to get my first pokemon! What about you?!?" His voice, loud and annoying as usual, rang through the room in it's usual shirll pitch.

"Yeah I can tell". The large boy called Chunk said he was ready for his first pokemon. Remembering from my studies that there was one pokemon that would be exactly like him. That was snorelax the large sleeping pokemon. While it was sleeping it was an extremly powerfull pokemon.

"So Gen what pokemon is that one you were talking about? You didnt say what it was only that it was your favorite in all its forms. But if I had a choice of my starter I would like a dragon pokemon. They are some of the strongest of them all."

((The Goonies! That's where I remember it from! I love that movie. Mouth > all))

Victor, Genji, Chunk, and one who remains nameless. Not too bad for a bunch of first-time trainers. Although, Chunk scares me. Silver's eyes shot down to Chunk's hands, which were wiping pie crust on his pants. It was an obvious gesture to make himself look better in front of everyone, and Silver pretended like he didn't see it. Instead, he turned to face the whole group and stretched.

"I came all this way for a Pokemon, and I still don't know what I want. Where I come from, there are next to no Fire Pokemon, so that's an option. But I have a weakness for Water- and Grass-types too. Especially Grass. So I could go any way here." Silver stopped talking, realizing that he was rambling about what kind of Pokemon he wanted. He viewed it as being selfish; For one, he wasn't giving anyone else a turn to talk, and on top of that he was talking about more than just a toy. He was about to receive a life to care for. That life would grow to be one of his best friends.

"So...Is anyone aiming for something particular?" Silver noticed that there was still some pie filling on Chunk's fingers, and had to restrain a laugh.

"Well currently the only thing I want to do is build my team up and become the champion. After that maybe go to Kanto since I have always wanted to go to Saffron and Cinnibar"

Silver wanted grass pokemon. Interesting. Victor knew that grass pokemon were very weak against fire and he knew he needed a fire pokemon. "As well I dont like the idea of relying on one type of team to beat an opponent. Since an opponent can and might have a team you are weak against. Plus the Elite four are very powerfull against people who use only one type."

Then Victor took his pokegear out and checked the map. He went over to the pokemon lab. Right north of the town. Hmm well at least this pokelab is state of the art

OOC: Uuuh, no offense meant, but the minimum for post length in RP content is 4 lines. Could those of you whose posts don't meet this criteria add some detail or something so that it is rule abiding?

BIC:
The two trainers were at a stand-off. The metal plating had been torn off tyranitar, and the unstable time flow in the room had made it lose momentum. Now it was merely Tyranitar's will against Hitmonlee's. The trainers themselves were becoming hoarse from shouting commands to the two Pokemon. Tyranitar and Hitmonlee were fighting without a trainer to guide them. They each had run out of elemental power, however, and were simply fighting hand-to-hand. The two finally fell over on the ground, too worn out to continue. Professor Aspen then flipped off the holographic projectors.

"After this, I bet you're all even more eager to receive your own Pokemon. Come with me and I'll show you the selection rooms." Professor Aspen then led the beginning trainers to the elevator, and presented his ID card to the scanner. The elevator lurched forward, and then into a bright light. The room that the beginning trainers saw looked very gloomy. A bunch of cubicles in which the lights were all off. Professor Aspen then flicked a lightswitch near the entrance, and instantly red and white spheres in each cubicle opened, revealing Pokemon of all sorts.

"All right," Professor Aspen said excitedly, "meet the Pokemon and select one to be your partner. When you've made your choice, meet me by the elevator, where I'll register your Pokemon and give you Pokedex upgrades and some other tools for beginners."

Victor recived his trainercard and smiled. It was blue and had a picture of him. Then he walked in. There was a number of pokemon in cages. He walked towards the farthest one and saw a Bagon. It was silent an moody. He decided this was a powerfull pokemon since it would evolve into Salamence. So he decided that was the one. So he took it since it resembled him so much. So dark an mysterious. He wanted such a powerfull dragon pokemon.

He went towards the elevator looking pleased. When at the elevator he placed the Bagon in a pokeball and got 5 more. Then he recived a black pokedex to match his black pokenav. He noticed that this Bagon was no where near as powerfull as a Salamence. But with training it would learn
