Pokemon: Trainer Academy

OOC: OMG you left xD Well I'm just going to assume it is open since it's not labeled close and someone posted an SU yesterday. Rject me then if the SU's aren't open, cuz I'm itching to fill out this form :3

Name: Adam Albright

Age: 15

House: Lightning Zapdos

Apperance: Adam towers over most other people, the top of his head reaching about six feet and five inches above the ground. His tanned skin directly contrasts his eyes- they're the light hue of ice, a mix of light blue and silver. Jet black hair covers his head, though its intenisty is somewhat diminished as Adam keeps it cleanly buzzed. His jaw is incredibly defined- and often covered in dark stubble- and a long, slender nose forms the center of his face. His build is fairly muscular, though he is by no means a body builder, but this combination of tall and strong gives him a fairly intimidating impression.

Personality: Adam is outgoing to the max, but he's fairly witty and has enough to sense to use proper manners, which gives him an air of charm and maturity. Adam is cocky and conceited, but with good reason-the kid knows he's handsome, and he also knows just how talented of a battler he is, and he's not afraid to let others know this, though still politely- bragging is improper and for slobs, you know. The hunger for renown twinkles in his icy eyes; he desperately wants to make a name for himself, comparable to the influence of Ash Ketchum. But he lusts for a good time and is ridiculously rebellious, a real partier. Thankfully he can usually manipulate his way out of trouble thanks to his charming ways. Adam Albright is a pretty shallow character and has a very specific set of morals- which don't include cheating, breaking rules, etc.

Concerning Pokemon, Adam is a bit softer. He realizes that his only shot at fame is through these creatures, so he respects them and has created a strong bond with most of them.

In his eyes, Zangoose is like one of his pals, a good friend who sees things the way that Adam does. They're both chasing glory, but realize that they can have fun in the process, that there's no need to be uptight and hold anything back. The two have even developed a hand shake, which further personifies the Pokemon to Adam.

Piplup is like the little brother that Adam never had. Adam enjoys teaching him things, whether they be strategies or mannerisms, and is enthused at the penguin Pokemon's growth all the time. Piplup and Adam have designed a strategy for meeting chicks, which relies heavily on Pipulp's cuteness.

Seriousness encompasses Tropius' personality, and so him and Adam aren't truly that close, but they have a growing bond through the implications that their heights envoke.

History: Growing up in Sinnoh, Adam was subjected to the high life where his father- a wealthy and powerful single parent- doted on him. He was encouraged to chase popularity, and so he did. Adam was popular with anyone that mattered and didn't care to meet with anyone who didn't. Eight Sinnoh gym badges and three Contest Ribbons formed his achievements after almost one year of battling, but his father wasn't absolutely sure if Adam could conquer the Sinnoh League and the Elite Four- nothing less than winning is acceptable in the Albright family, you see. So Adam was shipped to the Trainer Academy in Kanto, where he dominated the battling section of the admittance test, but nearly failed the written part, to the horror of Mr. Albright. He arrived at the school a little late, I'm afraid. Adam left half of his battling team at home, and brought his two weakest members- Piplup and Tropius- along with his favored Zangoose to the school, since the two needed the most improvement.

Raine's eyes widened "Reiki Dodge!" her Pokemon attempted to jump to the side but was to slow getting hit by the jet of water. When it hit the Pokemon was pushed back wincing in great pain.

Mel got a little confident, but quickly squashed it down. Getting over confident was going to cause her to loose. She needed to keep it a little bit under control.

"Head in for Rapid Spin!" Mel called, a follow up command. Andy had breathed in what was left of the water that was coming out of his mouth and quickly jumped, getting back into the shell. The spinning shell then had set course and was heading straight towards Smoochum.

Reiki had turned around and sent a long tongue that licked Andy's shell. It started Andy and forced it out of it's shell and landed on the ground, barely on his two feet. Andy let out a shiver of disgust. Mel began thinking about the Lick attack. How was she going to counter it?

Thinking back to that long tongue, she had noticed it curl a little. That was it, she got an idea.

"Andy, I know this might seem a bit crazy, but force it to use Lick attack again by using Rapid Spin!" Mel told her turtle Pokemon. Andy had looked back at her as if she was crazy, but complied. He jumped back into the air, crawled back into its shell, and then sped on course to his target, Reiki.

"Wow Mel is a great trainer; if I ever have to battle her I have to remember combinations to counter her counter attacks." "Guys we need to watch out for her; she's good at using pokemon faults and errors to her advantage." Nathan told the three. "Raine is good too; but I find I can't find anything interesting about her strategy; it's jsut hit and dodge you get what I am saying." Nathan thought real hard. "Or maybe" he quietly muttered. "That is her strategy." "What if guys, we dilebrately make mistake so she acts upon them then we can counter her. That would be a secret counter move." "However, it might not always work; it would only work once then she would probably ontice the mistakesare on purpose." Nathan turned his back towards the battle. Focusing his concentration on it once again.

Raine took a shaky breath "Reiki use Lick again!" Raine knew it was a bad choice but it was the only move her Pokemon had that seemed to work against Andy. Reiki glanced at her for a moment before doing as her trainer said the long tongue going out again.

Mel had smirked, "Head in for the tongue, make sure it curls around your shell!"

Andy had sped forward as fast as he could as soon as the large pink tongue had flew out of Reiki's mouth. The tongue started to curl a little and since Andy was fast enough, the tongue was forced to curl around the spinning shell. This caused a reaction that picked up Reiki into the air and made it spin around the radius of the shell, as if Reiki, the pokemon itself, was a limb to a windmill.

"Now finish Reiki off by throwing Reiki over your head!" Mel cried. Andy's head and limbs had poked out slightly. His hands had grabbed Reiki's tongue, with all his might, Andy threw Reiki over his head, as if Reiki was a head to a mallet.

"Reiki!" Raine yelled as her Pokemon slammed on to the ground falling unconcious she ran over to it calling it back into it's Poke'ball "You did great Reiki, it was my fault for not thinking." she said to herself before putting the ball back in her bag as Zen hopped into her arms. "Nice Battle" she said extending her free hand to Mel.

"You too," Mel said while accepting Raine's hand. She turned her head to Andy who was panting.

"You did a great job too," Mel smiled at Andy. She grabbed Andy's Poke'ball from the bag that she kept slung on the wheelchair and returned him into his Poke'ball.

"It looks like we have spectators," Mel said to Raine as she pointed to the trainers who had turned their heads Mel and Raine's way.

"That was a sneaky and amazing move." "We'll have to incorporate it somehow.." Nathan thought to himself. Nathan was shocked, because he knew there were going to be trainer that were going to test his skills and abilities of using his pokemon in a variety of different ways to win. Nathan was getting excited he couldn't wait to battle this trainer. That is if they wanted to. He'd probably ask for a 3 on 3 but they'd prbably be tired. "We'll see how it goes." Nathan thought.

"Hey!" Nathan yelled. "I want to battle you!" Nathan pointed at Mel with enthusiasm. Hopefully she would say yes.

When Mel said "It looks like we have spectators," Raine's face flushed from a mixture of her shyness and nervousness "I..." she looked at the trainers staring over at them "don't like people staring at me" she finished shyly.

Right after she did she heard a boy yell "I want to battle you!" and saw they were pointing at Mel.

Mel had wheeled herself around to find a fellow trainer pointing at her.

"Me?" She asked sceptically, pointing a finger to herself, "Why not tell me your name first?"

"Thanks," Mel sent a smile her way and then said something that only Raine could hear, "It depends on the conditions though, Andy is a bit tired."

"Oh I am dearly sorry." Nathan calmly said. "You're both great trainers." "Oh and my name is Nathan." "I both watched you and you guys were amazing." "So may I have a battle with you?" Nathan smiled; he really wanted to. But he wasn't sure if she would accept after yelling and pointing at her. he felt bad; but there was nothing he could do but apologize. "So how about it?" I can makeit 2 on 2 because It looked like you're pokemon as tired. Nathan felt happy; he didn't want to pressure anyone. "It's okay if you don't want to." Nathan said. "I won't be offended."

Andy was lost in the crowd. He knelt down, then sprung upward with surprising height. (His old friends might have said that he was "showing off his hops," a basketball term.) Upon his springing upward, he focused on the door. Still shut. Andy was starting to get pissed. Dammit. When are they gonna let us in? We're starting to turn into a mob. Suddenly, Andy had a mischievous idea.

"OPEN THE DOORS!"

Andy repeated this chant, and, gradually, got the whole crowd screaming and yelling "OPEN THE DOORS!" The chant started to increase in volume and tempo. All of the trainers wanted to get inside as much as he did. The tempo increased some more, and some people had started jumping up and down. The volume crescendoed until some of the Trainers covered their ears. The chant ended in wild screaming. He hopped again with great height. Still, the door wasn't open.

The door opened slightly, and silence fell across the crowd.

((OOC: @dajman --- I'm not sure if you want us to make up what happens when the door opens, or if you would like to take over as far as that part. If you don't want the door to open YET, please let me know and I will faithfully remove that part of my post. I, honestly, would like to get into the Academy and look around. )))

Chell listened as the crowd chanted for the doors to open, she wondered if this was a test of peoples patience and counted roughly seven people who would pass if it was. She continued to watch the crowd, a silent observer who hopefully would prove herself to be very skilled and competent in the near future.

Mel had thought about it a bit, "I would like to battle you, but not now. I would rather battle a 3 on 3 with you, but with Andy tired I want to wait before I battle you."

Raine had heard the yelling of the Trainers by the doors and when it fell silent she looked over spotting the doors open slightly. "Hey guys the doors are open a little" she said to Mel and Nathan.
