Pokemon Transformation- (PG-15)

The penguin Pokemon thing looked at Jake, and said in an irritated tone, "Gwen. Yes, I was human and no, I don't want a berry."

What's her problem? Jake asked himself, taking another bite of his berry. I mean, it's bad, but she doesn't have to be all up-in-your-face about it. He then realized how calm he had been about the situation. After that first part, anyways. "Fine, your loss." Jake said to Gwen, and then took another bite of the berry.

Jake then heard Kassie say softly, "I-I want a berry." Jake looked at her, and then handed her a berry.

She must be really shy, Jake thought. Well, I guess that she's not as bad as Miss Irritable here. Suddenly, for no real reason, Kassie started to rub her face with her hands/paws. Jake didn't know what to call them at this point. Kassie then blushed, and straightened up. "Umm..." Jake tried to ignore the somewhat-weird pawing display that had just happened, "I guess we should figure out what to do next. Maybe we should find some shelter. What do you two think?"

"I'm Brooklyn by the way, Brooklyn Harrison." the Meowth said to the two,

Barry pulled himself together in the presence of a lady, "It's a pleasure Brooklyn. Lovely name, very... yank."

"Come on, we should probably get something to eat."

"Couldn't agree more!" Barry said standing up, "I'm hungry! But then, I'm always hungry..."

"I'll bet we could catch some fish if we really tried." Chris said, looking out to the sea,

"That'll take too long if you ask me," Barry said dismissing the idea,

That, he thought, and I don't do sushi.

Suddenly a smell caught his attention. He intook it and paused,

"We could be in luck, I smell something that way," he said pointing further inland. Plodding over, he eventually saw a young boy casually strolling by. The smell was coming from him. And maybe they could get some answers...

"Hey there!" Barry said, waving as he walked up next to the boy, "I'm Barry. I'm not actually one of... these," he explained pointing to himself, "so could you be so kind as to tell me where I am? Thanks. Oh and, do you have chocolate or something? Because something in your bag smells really, really, good."

"Woa a Munchlax!" the boy screamed,

"Saywut?"

The youngster flipped open some sort of iPhone thing and it began to speak,

"Munchlax: the Big Eater pokemon."

How true - I eat big, thought Barry,

"It conceals food under the long fur on its body. It carts around this food stash and swallows it without chewing."

"Well that explains the sudden disregard for my teeth," Barry mumbled as the boy pocketed his device, "So, I'm this 'Munchlax' thing am I?"

"I dunno what you're trying to say," the boy said holding up a ball, "but we're gonna battle!"

Duh. People don't do pokemon speak.

"Apologies my friend," Barry said in an attempt to be polite, "but as for the fighting, I'll pass."

The boy threw the ball, and from it burst none other than a good old Charmeleon.

"Hey!" Barry exclaimed, "I had one of those in Red!"

"You're dead meat sucker!" the lizard spat,

"Not very nice..."

Charmeleon lunged with its claws, slashing them to the ground just as Barry registered the situation and threw his whole body back in a dramatic dodge. As the sand was thrown in the air, he fumbled to his feet and ran back to Chris and the Brooklyn girl,

"What's say we build a raft or something and get the hell out of here?!"

(OOC: Why wait? Let's get this ball rolling =3)

Keaton heard Beo sigh, something he wouldn't have caught if he didn't have the advanced hearing of this dog Pokémon he now was. "Yes, I was a human up until what may have been a few hours ago not really sure at this point, all I know is I received some strange package and the light from it knocked me unconscious," Beo said. Keaton knew that the package he got was the same as Beo's. "I was actually hoping it was just a prank from my teammates until I woke up on this beach" Teammates? Keaton hoped that Beo wouldn't turn out to be one of those Jocks that turned out to be total jerks, but he had a feeling that he wouldn't.

Beo sat down against a tree, "I just wish I had an easy answer for this, I've always been able to answer everything in my life with a simple scientific answer... but not this" Keaton couldn't really relate to that, since most things in life he couldn't really explain. Like why people where such Jerks to him because of his eye color. Thinking of his eye color he looked down suddenly, not knowing if Beo had noticed yet.

Beo rubbed under his eye and Keaton looked up to see that under his hand was a scar right below his left eye. "I wonder... if me and you were both humans, maybe there are more like us?" Keaton thought on this, he hadn't thought about it until now, maybe there where others like them? But why? Why even him and Beo? Hw shook the thought off, noticing he hadn't even introduced himself, "By the way, I'm Keaton, if you where wondering. And I guess the exact thing happened to the both of us. And chances are, there just may be others like us, we just have to find them to know I guess.

"What's say we build a raft or something and get the hell out of here?!"

Before anyone can respond, a young boy, no older than 12 or 13, sprints onto the beach behind Barry, a strange looking lizard following him. It looks at Barry, then glances towards Chris and Brooklyn.

"Sweet!" He exclaims, trying to contain his excitement. "A Meowth and a Pikachu too?" The boy pulls out a strange looking ball, red on the top and white on the bottom. Suddenly, he throws it on the ground, and in a brilliant flash of light, a monkey looking creature stood next to the lizard.

"Com'on Chimchar! Get ready to battle!"

Back with the Pack
Condition: Fight!
Reward: Lvl Up +1
Available to: Sandeon, Beo

While the two newly transformed Pokemon chat about their similarities, they fail to notice the ever-growing number of eyes glaring at them. Without warning, three Poochyena jump out of the bushes, teeth bared as a low growl emits from their mouths. One of them begins to step forwards, eyes glaring at Beo. As it opens it's mouth to speak, you can't help but notice the side of it's jaw is slightly swollen.

"Well looky here. Told you I'd be back."

I'll Bee Back
Condition: Run to shelter or Fight. You decide!
Reward: Lvl Up +1
Available to: Rainbow, Strikit, Grishnax

As the three decide what to do, a quiet but audible buzz can be heard in the distance. Although at first, the buzzing seems insignificant alongside the other sounds of the forest, the noise grows louder and louder, quicker and quicker, until suddenly, 6 giant bees (Beedrill) zoom out of the forest. They menacingly circle the group, stingers ready to kill. Better move fast!

----------------------------------------------

"That'll take too long if you ask me," Barry responded, dismissing Chris' idea. He paused, obviously taking in a scent.

"We could be in luck, I smell something that way," he said pointing further inland. Chris had never seen something that plump move that fast. Funny though, he couldn't smell any food, and if there was any, it was being overpowered by his slowly drying fur and the ocean. He paused for a second. He was doing it again, the whole scent thing. Shaking it off, Chris turned to the ocean.

"Whatever." Chris muttered, wading into the water a few yards, up to his stomach. <Dang, and I had almost dried off too…>

Chris stopped and looked into the water, searching back and forth for any fish at all. After a few minutes of searching was met with no results, Chris glanced back at Brook. However, now he could see how close he still was to the shore. Although he was up to his waist in water, he was only about 5 feet away from Brook and the shoreline. Chris sighed. Was he really this short now? Were things really this different?

Knowing he wasn't going to catch anything that close to the edge, Chris stumbled through the waves and back onto the beach, defeated and now soaked again.

Mechanically, he got onto all fours and shook himself, almost like a dog, to get dry. About halfway through the action he realized what he was doing and how inhuman it was, but then again, it solved one problem.

As he jumped back up onto two legs, Chris couldn't help but notice Barry sprinting back towards them, sadly enough, no food. Looks like whatever he was doing didn't work either.

What was strange though, was the first thing he said to them. "What's say we build a raft or something and get the hell out of here?!"

Before anyone could respond, a young boy, no older than 12 or 13, sprinted out of the forest and onto the beach, a strange looking lizard following him. He looked at Barry, then glanced towards Chris and Brooklyn.

"Sweet!" He exclaimed, trying to contain his excitement. "A Meowth and a Pikachu too?" The boy pulled out a strange looking ball, red on the top and white on the bottom. Suddenly, he threw it on the ground. In a brilliant flash of light, a monkey looking creature stood next to the lizard.

"Com'on Chimchar! Get ready to battle!"

"Hey Kid!" Chris shouted, suddenly filled with newfound energy. I mean, Barry had found a person, someone who could help them out! "Could you give us some help!? We're really humans like you!"

The young boy stared at the group quizzically for a moment, before shouting a command to his lizard. "Alright, Charmeleon! I think they want to battle. Use Metal Claw!"

With insane speed, Charmeleon lunged at Barry, claws glistening in the light, gleaming like steel. Chris's body moved on its own, knocking himself into Barry. Both of them fell to the sand, dodging the slash. Chris immediately shot back up onto two legs.

"What the hell was that?!" Chris shouted, more sparks consuming his body as he became more agitated.

"Darn! Alright, try an Ember!"

The lizard sprung backwards, taking in a deep breath. Suddenly, it let out a devastating roar at Chris, bits of flame and fire shooting towards Chris. Again, Chris managed to dodge rolling sideways and landing on all fours, but a he did so, a bit of flame struck his tail. The pain of the burn, as well as the agitation against the kid fused together. They obviously wanted a fight.

All of a sudden, a burning/tickling sensation started to form on Chris cheeks. It felt as though he had stuck his finger in an electrical socket, only this was happening to his whole body, and that this actually felt good. All of a sudden, it was like he realized how to do a Pikachu's signature move, shoot lightning. The experience all happened in fast and slow motion for Chris. Electricity erupted from his cheeks, filling his whole body with an even stranger and more pleasurable sensation. A field of electricity then flew from him and into the lizard. Soon, the field of electricity died around him. Chris stared as Charmeleon roared in agony.

That is, until the lizard began to let out a small chuckle, slowly growing until it was almost hysterical."This should be fun" Charmeleon smirked, showing off its sharpened claws.

Chris stood on all fours, glaring at the lizard. "Bring it."

As Barry braced himself for a horrible impact from claws, he was suddenly thrown to the side. He just managed to see Chris, who had barged him out of harms way, before landing face first in the sand.

"Pwaah!!" he spat in disgust as sand fell out of his mouth, "I hate sand," Standing up, he then saw the Pikachu electrify the lizard in retaliation. Barry's eyes widened at the extreme awesomeness of the situation.

Before a monkey smacked him in the back of the head.

"Ow! Watch it!"

"Use Ember Chimchar!" the kid called over. The small orange chimp jumped and opened its mouth, shooting small bursts of flames at Barry in the proccess.

"Ow ow ow ow OW!!" Barry screamed as each flame hit him, causing his body temperature to reach uncomfortable heights. However each flame didn't cause as much damage as he feared. Maybe these 'Munchlax' things were pretty tough.

"You can't catch me!" the chimp taunted as it landed and launched itself at Barry, readying its fingers for a tussle,

Barry frowned, "Beat it!" he grunted as he threw his whole body into the monkey with a shoulder barge. He wobbled back a bit, but the chimp was thrown back, rolling head over heels.

"Woa... I did that?" Barry said in awe,

He turned to Chris, who was squaring up to Charmeleon,

"Let's just get this over with, and then- UGH!"

He felt a sharp pain on his back, and slightly lost balance. Turning, he saw the cursed monkey,

"Teehee! It'll take more than that to beat me!"

Barry was about to answer, when he noticed his two index fingers were glowing. He physically felt more energized, maybe he had unlocked some sort of power! Now he was a master of secret pokemon kung-fu or something!

"Aww yea," he said waving his hands about like a ninja, "Feel the burn monkey! Fingers of death - go!!"

There was nothing. Barry began to sulk, but then something inside him clicked. His belly, soon his whole body began to shudder as something big built up inside him. Giving way to the pressure, he opened his mouth and let loose a massive jet of water. With the power of a fire hose, it struck the monkey and even caused Barry to fly backwards off his feet. Now projecting backwards, he happened to smack into the lizard, sending them both tumbling into a heap.

The stream ended, and Barry stood up, swaying, and spat out a few more splurges of water.

"What..." he panted, "was that!"

Snarling, Charmeleon got to its feet, slamming Barry to the floor with its tail. It glared at Barry, then Chris, then Barry again,

"Oh you two are just asking for it!"

"Would an apology be out of place here?" Barry pleaded as the lizard readied its claw once more.

Kassie accepted the berry with a smile and bit into it slowly. As she finished it, she noted that her hunger was already sated. Apparently her stomach was just that much smaller, that two berries were enough. But then again she didn't know whether maybe the French toast from that morning still counted. She supposed that didn't matter, because that was an entire lifetime ago, it seemed. What did matter was that she was on a beach somewhere with people… er… Pokemon she didn't know, and she knew there were dangerous creatures all over the place.

"I agree," she answered Jake, more strength in her voice. "We can't stay here. I don't know much about Pokemon, but I do know there are bigger and more dangerous creatures than us. And if this is anything like the games my brother used to play there are people who'd like to catch us. I don't know about you, but getting caught and being forced to fight day in and day out isn't on my agenda."

Just as she finished speaking she froze, feeling as though something was horribly wrong. Her ears twitched and her muscles tensed. Just as she was about to relax, convinced that it was just an instinctual fluke, she heard a faint buzzing. Kassie recognized it immediately; it was a bee-thing like the one that had chased her before. At first she couldn't tell whether it was coming closer. But after a few moments the buzzing grew in intensity, and six bees flew out from between the trees. With a squeak of fright Kassie shrank down, eyes wide.

"What am I going to have to do to get rid of you?" she growled, sounding fiercer than she felt. She turned her attention to Jake and Gwen. "I've already tried running from these things, and that doesn't work. We'll need to stand our ground."

Shaking but determined, she straightened up and hissed at the bee things, her ears flat against her head. The bees didn't seem to care. Instead they brandished their stingers and one flew at her, buzzing angrily. Kassie swiped out with one claw and caught it across the abdomen. It squealed and retreated a little, but seemed more angry than anything else. It's five mates began to circle more quickly, all stripes and stingers. Kassie glanced at Jake, her mind working as quickly as possible.

"What can you do?" she asked quickly. "You're a fire type, right? Can you make smoke or something? That'd give us the advantage if we can see better than them."

"By the way, I'm Keaton, if you where wondering. And I guess the exact thing happened to the both of us. And chances are, there just may be others like us, we just have to find them to know I guess". Keaton said as Beo could tell something else was bothering him as he kept putting his head down.

"Your right I think are best option may be to check the beach and surrounding areas for others, but as of now it seems to be getting dark and I think it would be smarter to set camp" Beo said trying to sound confident since seemed Keaton to be nervous or really upset about the situation.

"Wait a minute.. do you hear.." Beo shouted to Keaton as three pokemon jumped out from the bushes and Beo quickly recognized them as Poochyena. The one in the middle however stepped forward with a huge cocky grin mounted on his face.

"Well looky here. Told you I'd be back." He said as Beo couldn't help but notice the left side of his face was swollen.

"Ha back for another beating?" Beo shouted back to him quickly jumping in front of Keaton. This quickly angered the Poochyena and his goons as well who were quick to jump in.

"Hey boss just say the word and he's mince mint!" the poochyean on the left shouted to his apparent leader.

"Hey Keaton, just stick close to me and trust your body.. pokemon know alot of strange moves" Beo whispered to Keaton.

"Get em!" The boss poochyena shouted as the two of them charged in.

After Jake gave Kassie the berry, he watched her slowly eat it. She looked satisfied at the end, and he once again realized how damn good those berries were.

"I agree," Kassie responded to Jake's earlier comment, "We can't stay here. I don't know much about Pokemon, but I do know there are bigger and more dangerous creatures than us. And if this is anything like the games my brother used to play there are people who'd like to catch us. I don't know about you, but getting caught and being forced to fight day in and day out isn't on my agenda."

A buzzing noise started to come from the distance, and Jake shook his head to try to rid himself of the sound. He looked into the forest, and saw some shapes passing through the trees. What's that sound? Jake asked himself, It sounds almost like a bee. Now, what Pokemon are like bees... Jake couldn't think of any at the moment, although he didn't really know very many. Suddenly, the bee-Pokemon burst out of the forest and onto the beach. They were flying straight towards them.

"What am I going to have to do to get rid of you?" Kassie growled at the bee-Pokemon, and then looked back at Gwen and Jake. "I've already tried running from these things, and that doesn't work. We'll need to stand our ground."

Jake watched as Kassie slashed one of the bee-Pokemon, and then noticed that the others were about to strike. Kassie quickly glanced at Jake, and then said, "What can you do? You're a fire type, right? Can you make smoke or something? That'd give us the advantage if we can see better than them."

"Well, as a matter of fact..." Jake said, but was cut off as a bee-Pokemon tried to sting him. He dodged to the side, and then tried to breath out smoke like he had earlier. He coughed, and a small puff of smoke came out. I can do this, all I need is a deep breath. Jake began to inhale, but another bee-Pokemon flew at him before he was ready. "Sit still so I can concentrate!" Jake yelled, but all that did was provoke the bee-Pokemon further. Jake took a deep breath, and then exhaled as hard as he could. An enveloping smokescreen covered a small area, and the buzzing of the bee-Pokemon's wings stopped. Jake didn't wait to see what had happened, and dashed outside the smoke cloud.

"Hey! Now's our chance! Let's get out of here before they get back up!" Jake yelled at Gwen and Kassie.

Gwen had, in the split second it had taken for the creatures to appear, known at once what they were the moment they'd entered her vision. She and Jessie had seen these things dozens of times on the poster that had been taped to the wall above Gwen's bed. These were Beedrill, and if Gwen remembered correctly, their pointers could poison a pokemon in one sting.

All at once, Kassie growled beside her. It sent a shiver down Gwen's spine.

"What am I going to have to do to get rid of you?" the sandshrew hissed at the humming insects. She then spoke directly to Gwen and Jake, not taking her eyes off the predators in front of them.

"I've already tried running from these things, and that doesn't work. We'll need to stand our ground."

The Beedrill were getting tired of the chatting, and quick as a bullet a particularly hideous one dove down and attempted to jab Kassie. Gwen's eyes grew wide, but she didn't have much time to think as another swung around to try and stab her. Her little penguin body rolled to the side with an involuntary chirp as Kassie shouted out to Jake.

"What can you do? You're a fire type, right? Can you make smoke or something? That'd give us the advantage if we can see better than them."

Gwen had a short moment to think about what an amazing idea that was, before having to dodge yet another stinger headed for her face. She heard Jake yelling at the Beedrill.

"Sit still so I can concentrate!"

But the creatures didn't seem to care. The humming was starting to drive Gwen mad, and it was with a certain sense of satisfaction that she watched Jake inhale deep and cloud the area with a smokescreen. He then proceeded to dash off, screaming back over his shoulder for the remaining two to do the same.

But didn't Kassie say we had to stand our ground?!

"Jake!" she shouted. "Get back here!"

But she didn't have time to see if he heard. From the smoke came the beating of wings, and all at once a stinger burst out, blindly led by a furious Beedrill.

What can I do?! she mentally screamed. I'm a bird right? What kind of moves do bird pokemon know?!

She didn't have time to think, and instinct (along with hours of playing with a high-level Dodrio in Pokemon Yellow) led her to decide that attempting a Peck would be the best course of action. She barely dodged the stinger, feeling it thud hard into the sand next to her, then propelled her head sideways, at the now-subdued Beedrill, with a frightening force she'd never before felt in her life.

It was then something strange happened. With a Peck, she'd have assume the beak would have been the first thing to hit the Beedrill, but instead her entire body slammed into it, causing it to cry out in pain. She felt a "Pip!" escape her beak as her body collided with the black and yellow body beside her.

Chris didn't know what was happening around him; he blocked out all noises he labeled as insignificant, focusing on the opponent in front of him.

"You think you're so high and mighty because of some fluke." The lizard smirked, grinning wide. "But I'm-" Chris didn't let Charmeleon finish, shooting more lightning at the creature, the maneuver now becoming second nature. This time though, he aimed to high, and the lizard avoided the attack with a duck.

"Sorry. I don't have the time to listen to you gloat."

"Well. We should get right down to business then."

The Charmeleon again lunged at him, this time without the order from the boy. Chris's eyes widened as he again narrowly dodged the attack, jumping into the air. Being small and fast seemed to be working out pretty well.

"You think that's going to work twice!?" The lizard hissed, lunging at Chris with phenomenal speed, ramming the horn on its head right into his stomach. Chris flew back, sand flying as he slammed into the ground. He quickly, but weakly lifted himself back on all fours, sand now covering his face. He may be small and fast now, but he felt like glass. Coughing for a moment and regaining his breath, he opened his muzzle to respond, but no words came out of his mouth.

"No smart comment, huh?" Charmeleon laughed as he lunged forwards again.
Chris clenched his teeth as the lizard zoomed at him. He willed his body to move, but he couldn't. His legs wouldn't respond, his eyes narrowed; was this it?

A green blur suddenly slammed into the lizard, sending it tumbling through the sand, and answering his question. Chris managed to lift himself onto two legs, wobbling a little bit before gaining his balance. He had taken bigger hits than that during soccer, why was it bothering him so much? He glanced over at Barry, swaying back and forth and… spitting out water?

"What..." Barry panted, "was that!"

Chris shrugged. How was he supposed to know?

With a snarl, Charmeleon got to its feet, slamming Barry to the floor with its tail. It glared at Barry, then Chris, then Barry again,

"Oh you two are just asking for it!"

"Would an apology be out of place here?" Barry pleaded as the lizard readied its claw once more.

Dropping on all fours, Chris raced towards Charmeleon, the thought of Barry or Brooklyn getting hurt the only thing filling his mind. Not caring about himself, he jumped onto the lizard's arm, sinking the two fangs in the front of his mouth into Charmeleon's arm.

"Get off you rat!" The lizard growled, shaking its arm to get Chris off. As Charmeleon moved his tail off of Barry, a sparkle filled Chris' eyes and static covered his body. All of a sudden, electricity shot out of Chris, enveloping both him and Charmeleon. He leaped off of Charmeleon as the lizard collapsed onto the ground, out cold.

"We're sorry we had to beat you up." Chris grinned, getting up onto two legs solely to adjust the headphones miraculously still sitting around his neck. He walked over to Barry, reaching out with a paw. "There. We apologized. Now get up."

He wasn't sure how much help he would be in helping him up, (due to the fact he was smaller than him), but it was the gesture that counted. It didn't really matter however, as something slashed across Chris's back, sending him sprawling across the sand. Landing hard on his stomach, he searched for the cause of the pain. The monkey from earlier stood in front of him and over Barry, grinning menacingly.

"Teehee! You forgot about me."

Barry watched from the floor as Chris heroically sank his teeth into Charmeleon, before electrocuting him again. This time, the lizard fell.

"We're sorry we had to beat you up." Chris said before turning to Barry, arm outstretched, "There. We apologized. Now get up."

Barry cracked a smile, "Thanks Chris," he said reaching his own arm out. However Chris suddenly fell over to reveal the chimp standing above the two.

"Teehee! You forgot about me."

Barry got to his feet with some effort and procceeded to walk slowly towards the monkey,

"You know what wee man," he said, cracking his knuckles and trying to sound intimidating, "I've not had a very good day so far. And you are very close to me breaking your face."

The chimp spat more fire at Barry. He stumbled back slightly before regaining himself,

"C'mere!" Barry grunted as he threw himself into the firey ape with a full body tacle, wrestling it to the floor. He could feel the monkey scratch and bite away at his in the tussle, however Barry used his head.

Literally. Pinning the chimp's arms down, he smacked his whole forehead into its face, causing both pokemon to moan in pain,

"Owwww..." Barry rubbed his forehead, while the Chimchar lay on the sand, unconcious.

"Aww man!" the kid moaned as he sucked the two creatures back in to the red and white balls, "I guess they're weak enough though!" He threw another one at Chris, "You're mine Pikachu!"

Barry watched the ball fly towards the beat up mouse. Time for him to repay the favour,

"Get lost! We don't want your-" Barry shouted as he ran between them and smacked the ball with his arm. He couldn't finish though, as the ball opened and enveloped Barry in its pure white energy. Barry felt his whole body get sucked inside and then there was darkness.

Everything was dark - except for one line of bright light, probably the gap of the ball.

"I'm not spending my youthful days in here!" Barry exclaimed as he ran towards the light. Trying his best to squeeze through it, the ball gave way and released more dazzling light. Barry reappeared infront of Chris, tumbling to the sand.

"Well that was inconvenient,"

He got up and helped Chris to his feet, "C'mon! He's probably got more of those things."

(OOC: Now we flee :P)

"Your right I think are best option may be to check the beach and surrounding areas for others, but as of now it seems to be getting dark and I think it would be smarter to set camp." Beo said, Keaton knew it was probably the best thing to, but before he could say anything, he noticed a familiar scent. It was the dog from before!

"Wait a minute.. do you hear.." Beo shouted as three Pokémon jumped out of the bushes. Keaton silently scolded himself for not paying attention to his sense of smell to notice they were coming.

"Well looky here. Told you I'd be back." The middle one said with a huge grin on his face. Keaton had no idea what it was talking about, but he knew there was going to be a fight.
"Ha back for another beating?" Beo shouted at the other dog Pokémon as he jumped in front of Keaton.

"Hey boss just say the word and he's mince mint!" The Pokémon on the left said to the middle one, apparently the boss.

"Hey Keaton, just stick close to me and trust your body.. Pokémon know a lot of strange moves." Beo whispered. Keaton knew he was right, some Pokémon could create jolts of electricity and some could do water, depends on the type. But what type was he?

"Get em!" The boss said as the other two charged at them. The one to the left came at Keaton and opened its jaws to bite him. Keaton quickly went left and dodged the attack, but the dog came right back with another attempt at biting Keaton. Unfortunately, Keaton had no idea what to do and he just dogged another bite. Then Keaton thought of biting back. The dog Pokémon came rushing at him and Keaton yet again dogged it, but this time Keaton went in and sunk his jaws into the Pokémon.

The dog let out a yelp. Keaton realized what he was doing and let his grip go. He didn't want to have that dog's fur in his mouth, who knows where its been. But the Pokémon retaliated by slamming into Keaton and knocking him to the ground. The gray dog jumped on top of Keaton and missed biting into his neck. Keaton's instincts kicked in and he let out a roar witch oddly scared the Pokémon biting him away, as Keaton blacked out.

Beo watched as one of them lunged for Keaton but at the same time he had his own problems as the other goon quickly opened his fangs lunging for Beo's arm. He planted his feet into the ground and grabbed a hold of the Poochyena's neck throwing it over his shoulder buying himself a few moments.

"You want to fight, fine let's do this!" Beo shouted as the Poochyena got back to it's feet and the two of them charged at each other. Leaping into the air he swung his left foot forward slamming into the side of the Poochyena causing it to fly into the bushes in front of them.

"Argh, not again!" The boss Poochyena roared as he stared Beo down but his attention was quickly dragged away as he heard a loud roar coming from Keaton.

"Hey Keaton you alright?" Beo asked turning his head to see Keaton had somehow managed to scare off the other poochyena but at the same time fall unconscious and a smile grew on his face.

"Looks like it's just me and you again" Beo laughed as he began to take a few steps forward towards the Poochyena who was now cowering backwards a bit.

"You think your real tough don't you.... Well you just wait. Just realize you two have made enemies for life!" He barked back at Beo.

"Boo!" Beo yelled jumping towards the Poochyena making him yelp and take off into the bushes. Beo quickly ran to Keaton's side as he lay there what seeming to be unconscious. Beo then made his way over to one of the trees, he quickly climbed up it grabbing two berries one of which he kept for himself, the other putting it in front of Keaton's nose.

"Hey Keaton wake up buddy" Beo whispered hoping the smell of the berry would work.

Kassie watched in astonishment as Jake breathed a wall of smoke around them and Gwen slammed into one of the bees beak first. If logic still worked in a place like this, she assumed that Gwen would have an advantage over the bees, being a bird, or at least a bird-like thing. She knew that she herself didn't have an advantage, but neither was she at a disadvantage. Her soft underbelly was vulnerable to attack, but her back was protected, which meant that she just had to maneuver her body correctly when attacking.

This in mind, she focused on the nearest bee and lunged out at it. Her claws caught its wings, causing a long rip. It seemed to panic at the thought of its wings being ruined and it retreated, leaving just three after the one Gwen attacked, Kassie had attacked earlier, and this one. A surge of confidence pulsed through Kassie's small, shrew-like body and she knew that they could win this fight. "We can get them, Jake," she encouraged. "There's only three left. You take one, you too Gwen, and I'll take the last one."

Determined not to give up any ground Kassie curled up in a ball, knowing that would entice the bee to attack, thinking that she would be more easy to bring down. Her instincts were correct and the bee flew at her, stingers extended. When the first one slammed into her she absorbed the shock of the hit, waiting for an opportune moment. When it came she exploded out of her ball and caught the bee on the head with both of her claws, leaving deep rakes in its skin. It buzzed angrily and backed up. Kassie straightened up, glaring at it. Both were silent as they calculated their next moves.

((OOC: I tried to make it so that the bees were stunned by the smoke (as indicated by the beating of their wings stopping) but you guys decided that we should fight instead. I guess I'll just go with that.))

Almost as soon as Jake had left the smoke cloud, he heard Gwen yell, "Jake! Get back here!"

Why should I go back into that smoke cloud, where I'll get stung to death? Jake thought angrily. He wasn't going to risk his life for some jerk. In fact, why should I risk my life at all?

"We can get them, Jake," Jake heard Kassie calling to him, "There's only three left. You take one, you too Gwen, and I'll take the last one."

Screw it, why not, thought Jake, I'm pretty sure worse things will happen to me if I stay alone... Jake shuddered at the thought. Anyways, I better get back into that smoke clou- holy crap! Jake rolled to the side just a second before a bee-Pokemon flew out of the smoke cloud, stinger pointed at where Jake was. Not again! Jake thought as the bee-Pokemon swooped in for another attack. Okay, what can a Pokemon do? Jake dodged another dive from the bee-Pokemon while looking through his extremely limited mental encyclopedia of Pokemon knowledge, I can shoot smoke, but that can't really stop it. Maybe I could just tackle it like I tackle people in football... Yeah, I'll try that. Here goes nothing...

"GWAH!" Jake yelled as he made a tackle at the bee-Pokemon. The bee-Pokemon got knocked out of the air, and then landed on it's back. Jake didn't bother to tackle it again, but got on it's center-section and hit it repeatedly in the face. The bee-Pokemon tried to fight back, but it was stuck on the ground because of Jake. Eventually, it stopped moving. Jake didn't know if it was dead, or just knocked out. Either way, he didn't care. As long as he didn't have to fight it again, he was fine with anything. "Okay guys, I finished with mine. How are you two doing?"

Brooklyn watched as Barry left, follow the shoreline and his nose, claiming he smelled food, she felt her stomach growl and inwardly hoped the boy would come back and tell them he found some sort of buffet, but until then it looked like she was going to have to find her own food, noticing that Chris was also thinking along those lines as he waded out into the ocean, Brooklyn on the other had glanced at the water cautiously, she had always heard that cats disliked water, but now that she was one, she wondered if the saying were true.

Walking up slowly to the large liquid body, she placed her paw into one of the shallow areas of the ocean, blinking slightly as she shifted the wet sand between her claws, a small smile erupted on her face, she didn't feel any different and there wasn't an unpleasant feeling coursing through her body, so she assumed that most cats didn't like water "Well, I've solved one mystery! I wonder if the 9 lives thing is true. . ." she glanced out at the sea and laughed weakly, not ready to find out the answer to that one yet.

Padding out farther into the water until her front paws could barely touch the bottom, she stood/floated shakily on her hind legs while scanning the water for something to eat, like a fish "Yeah, fish will be great, since Chris is a Pikachu and Barry is a . . . whatever he is, they could fry the fish and we'll be feasting like kings!" Her only problem was figuring out how to catch them "how am I supposed to find the fish and reel em in" she reached up with her paw and scratched the side of her face, glancing around for some kind fishing rod or something "Brook, you're a cat floating near the middle of the ocean, there is no way I'm gonna find a fish. . . tail" Brooklyn trailed off, glancing at her tail, which bobbed hypnotically up and down, the curled tip reminded her of a cinnamon roll from Cinn-A-Bon's "Tengo un idea! I've got it!" whirling around, Brooklyn began to swim back towards the beach, where pieces of her broken crate lay, she took the largest piece she could find, which was about a few heads taller than her, and stared at it thoughtfully, she needed like a box or a bowl like shape to hold the fish in.

"I wonder. . ." she glanced at her paw, willing the claws and then glanced at the large piece of wood "Please Pokémon world, let the laws of physics be defied so I can make a bowl" she closed her eyes and dropped the plank of wood, she spread her arms out and narrowed her eyes on the plank of wood, taking a deep breath Brooklyn then unleashed her claws.

"Okay, being a cat with super claws are totally gonna come in handy, once I perfect the art of scratching stuff up" Brooklyn was once again wading in the slightly shallow water, her sloppily done, but slightly sturdy, makeshift wood bowl floating beside her. Hoping her plan would work, Brooklyn turned around and sank her tail into the water, swishing it back and forth, hoping she'd catch something.

"This tail fishing thing is harder than I thought" she groaned in boredom as her tail now just bobbed up and down limply in the water, she had been wading in this spot for about 3 minutes now, boredly she began to draw swirls in the water with her paw, sniffing slightly she grimaced, her fur was gonna be soaked and stinky by the time she got out of the water Brooklyn was slowly becoming irritable as she waded in the water "Grr, if I don't get a bit in the next minute, I'm giving up! I could be doing something a lot more useful, like helping Barry and Chris fight that Charmeleon, than sitting here getting soa— wait they're fighting what!" Blinking Brooklyn's gaze quickly shot back towards the beach, where said Pikachu and green thing were and at the moment they were trying to fend off a Charmeleon and a weird looking monkey Pokémon.

"Crap, I gotta help them!" Brooklyn went to take a step forward, but suddenly something sharp sunk into her tail "Ouch! Ow! Ow! Ow! What the hell!?" Make that six things, on impulse her tail sprang out of the water, revealing six tiny gray fish, looking to be about an inch big, latching tightly onto the cream appendage, and jerked harshly to the right, the fish flew off her tail and landed neatly into her makeshift bowl "Sweet, I caught food!" She reached out for the bowl and hugged it against her chest, while bounce kicking her way back towards the shore, but sadly this wasn't getting her towards the beach quickly "Damn this wet fur!" She cursed kicking her foot out but oddly enough instead of kicking up sand like she had assumed, it bounced back like she just kicked a bowl of Jell-O but the weirdest thing that happened, was that something
slithered up her leg and yanked harshly and it caused her to pitch forward and fall flat on her face, making the bowl fly, safely towards the beach.

Quickly standing up, she was now back in a shallow area of the water, where it covered the lower half of her waist, and coughing out the water she swallowed after taking her plummet in the water, her paws swiped at her glasses, resulting in a squeaky noise and wet cream fur to cling to the frames, she sighed and dipped them back in the water, washing away the wet fur. Blinking Brooklyn glanced around for the thing that had tripped her.

"Hey Meowth! I was sleeping here!" A gruff voice grumbled and Brooklyn stared with wide eyes as a red octopus like Pokémon with yellow bumps on its head popped its head out from under the water "I-I'm sorry, I didn't know." Octillery growled in annoyance, this stupid cat disturbed its nap and all it could say was sorry "Sorry isn't going to bring my nap back is it?"

"No, but I can't talk right now, I have to go help my friends, so can you ple—"

"Ouch! You scratched me!"

"No wait, that was an accident! I didn't do it on purpose! I was trying to free my leg!" What had happened was that Brooklyn was attempting to unravel Octillery's tentacle from around her leg while they were talking and accidentally scratched the octopus. The Octillery didn't listen to reason, instead it just wrapped its tentacle tighter around her foot and in quick succession threw her like a sack, she sailed high above the water for a few moments, before landing with a thudded splat face first into the wet sand on the shoreline. Brooklyn sat up, coughing and spitting, while the Octillery from before huffed indignantly and sank beneath the ocean once more, grumbling to itself about rude nap disturbing Meowth's "Well. . . cough. . . that went. . . hack. . . better than planned. . . blech!" Brooklyn made a disgusted face as she attempted to wipe the sand off her tongue with her paws, but that only made it worse because now she had the taste of wet grainy sand and wet sandy fur on her tongue.

Spitting out as much as she could, Brooklyn scanned the beach and was happy to find her latest catch still in tact, it had landed right beside the crate she had been carried in "Sweet! Now. . . I'll just leave this here and go rescue the boys!" Up ahead she noticed Barry and Chris attempting to run away from the little kid that had attacked them with the Charmeleon and weird monkey, he had pulled out another Pokéball and this time what had popped out was a Pokémon she was all too familiar with, mostly because it evolved into one of her favorite Pokémon.

"Magby lets go!"

"What, does this kid have a fire fetish or something" Brooklyn watched as the Magby shoot a plume of smoke at Barry and Chris, covering the two in a thick poisonous smog so they wouldn't be able to escape, she had to get there quick or they were both goners, lowering herself on all fours, Brooklyn quickly took off, she didn't think, she just moved, instinctively her claws shot out from her paws as she ran, giving her the much needed leverage to run on the wet sand "Now Magby use Heat Wave!"

"Say your prayers!" Magby sneered before taking a deep breath, its cheeks puffed up, getting ready to spit a wave of flame at Chris and Barry "how about you eat my claws instead!" Brooklyn made it towards them just in time, using the smog as a cover while she ran through with her cat like speed and tackled Magby right out of the poison smoke, the two Pokémon tumbled to a halt near the feet of Magby's trainer, Brooklyn had come out on top, her claws sinking deeply into the fire salamanders shoulders as she growled, her teeth bared, at the Magby "Its Meowth!" The boy shouted obviously and Brooklyn snapped her head up at the boy and glared his obvious statement "Oh no duh Sherlock!"

"Get off me!" From below her Magby growled angrily and then shot an Ember directly at her chest, sending Brook flying off the Magby and landing face first into the cool sand, she winced, sitting up and spitting out sand for the umpteenth time today and bought a paw up to brush against her slightly singed fur "that was a low trick you stinking lizard" Magby just stood and shrugged smugly before it released another stream of fire at her, which she quickly dodged by ducking under the attack.

"Ha! You missed!"

Fssssh.

"Hey. . . what smells like burning fur?" Glancing behind her, Brooklyn saw that her tail was on fire she screeched and then ran around in circles for a few moments before dunking her lower half in the ocean water "Ahh" she sighed in content and smiled, but her smile soon turned into a sour frown as she watched Magby roll around on the ground laughing at her misfortune. "Why you. . ." scowling Brooklyn lowered her front low to the ground, erected her tail and let out her claws, she then lunged at the laughing Magby, who sat up swiftly upon hearing the girls war cry.

"Huh—oof!"

"I'll teach you to laugh at me!"

"Get off me you crazy cat!"

"Say uncle!"

"Ouch! Never!"

"Then eat wet sand fire breath!"

"Mrmpfh!!"

The two Pokémon were rolling and tumbling back and forth on the beach, each trying to out top the other but at the moment, Brooklyn had this battle won, she was sitting on the Magby's back, thrusting its face into the wet sand with her front paws, they had somehow managed to roll closer towards the shoreline during their somewhat comical scuffle.

"Magby! Get up, fight that Meowth, use Iron Tail!"

Brooklyn stopped smashing Magby's face into the ground and blinked at the boy's command "Iron Tail? Whoa!" A sharp slap to the back of her head sent the girl turned cat flying forward onto the beach, Brooklyn groaned and rubbed at her aching head "That hurt you dumb lizard!" Magby said nothing, instead charged at her, tackling Brooklyn into the sand, causing her back to slide roughly against the wet grainy soil as it pinned her "I'm ending this right now!" Magby growled puffing up its cheeks, getting ready to use Heat Wave, Brooklyn's eyes went wide as the Magby got ready to finish her off "This is not good."

(OOC: I would've finished this battle up, but I gotta leave soon, so you guys can take it from here.)

(OCC: Lol, I did this on the plane xD)

"Dammit" Chris growled through cleched teeth, watching the scuffle between Barry and the monkey unfold. "Com'on body. Move!" He again attempted to get up, managing only to stand for a few moments, before collapsing back to the sand. The pain in his back where that monkey slashed him, stung more and more every second, not to mention he was still recovering from the headbutt by Charmeleon. There must be some reserve of energy he had yet to tap, if only to help Barry for a second.

"C'mere!" Barry grunted, tackling the ape to the ground. Sparks sputtered and popped all over Chris's body as he watched. Where the hell was Brooklyn? They could sure use her help right now.

Using some sort of skill, Barry pinned the monkey's arms down, which left him unable to do anything as well. Just as Chris was beginning to question the move, Barry slammed his forhead into the chimp's. Chris stared in awe as the chimp fell unconcious, where as Barry only had a bump on the head.

"Owww...." He groaned, rubbing his forehead with a paw(?).

"Aww man!" The kid moaned, Chris grinning as he half-expected the kid to stomp off. His expression changed quickly, though, as the kid pulled out another red and white ball. "I guess they're weak enough. You're mine, Pikachu!"

<Pikachu? But- Damn, that's me, isn't it?>

The boy confermed Chris's thoughts as He aimed and threw the ball at Chris. what did those balls do again? Capture pokemon... Like him. Cheis's eyes widened as it can closer to his face. Just as he thought the ball was about to hit him, Barry jumped in it's path.

"Get lost! We don't want your-!" Barry never got to finish, as he was sucked straight into the ball.

Chris was speechless while the ball fell to the ground. The kid had just made him dissappear rift in front of his eyes! It was a greater act than David Blane could ever do. Suddenly, the ball began to wobble back and forth on the ground. Barry was still in there!

As soon as the idea hit him, the ball burst back open, and in a blindig flash, Barry tumbling across the sand. Chris let out a sigh, he couldn't have been more relieved.

"Well that was inconvenient."

Barry ran over, helping Chris to his feet.

""C'mon! He's probably got more of those things!"

Barry couldn't have been more right. Before they even got the cance to run, the boy had already taken out another ball.

"Magby, let's go!"

In another brilliant flash, another lizard stood in front of them; obviously, the kid had some wierd fetish for those things.

The lizard blew out a purple smoke, almost instantly enveloping Chris and Barry. The stuff made his lungs jump out of his mouth and scream for air, not to mention beat his new, sensitive nose to death. He began to cough uncontrollably; the world around him shifting and moving.

Chris's ears perked as he heard the order. Whatever a "heat wave" was, it didn't sound good.

"Say your prayers!" Magby sneered, conferming Chris's suspicion that everything wanted to kill him. Great.

Suddenly, he heard steps running from behind him, and felt a gust of wind move past him.

Brooklyn jumped out of the smoke, claws drawn and leaping towards the lizard.

"How about you eat my claws instead!"

She tackled the lizard to the ground, sinking her claws into the creature. Chris could only watch as the battle ensued. From his standpoint, Brook seemed to be doing quite well, until her tail caught fire, that is. In her defense, though, it was quite an insane attack. The lizard, however, saw it as a comedy act, literally rolling on the floor laughing.

This, perhaps, fueled her more than anything else. Brook tackled the creature and A scuffled soon followed, Brook and Magby both wrestling for a better position than the other.

"Huh—oof!"

"I'll teach you to laugh at me!"

"Get off me you crazy cat!"

"Say uncle!"

"Ouch! Never!"

"Then eat wet sand fire breath!"

"Mrmpfh!!

Although at first, Brooklyn had the advantige, slamming the lizard's head intothe ground; the tide turned when Magby clubbed her in the back of the head with an "Iron Tail"

Chris watched as the Magby pinned Brooklyn to the ground, puffing up his cheeks in what was sure to be the final attack. Chris's eyes widened  as he saw visions of what would happen. He couldn't let that happen. Again chenching his teeth, Chris begged his body to let him tap into whatever was left of his energy, even if it meant loosing himelf to this body, even if it meant death, he couldn't let any of them get hurt.

<Move...> He quietly told himself, trying anything a this point.  <Comon... Move!> A few sparks, sputtered and popped across his body, but nothing else.

<I'll do anything! Just Move!!>

The sparks that shot across his body quickly turned to continuious bolts. The fur on his head, back, and tail, all stood straight up. Teeth bared, he momentarily lifted himself onto all fours, before charging headfirst at the small lizard. He arrived in the nick of time, slamming into the lizard with his shoulder and launching the lizard off of Brook. As soon as he had made contact, Chris launched another electric based attack, hitting the lizard just when it hit the ground. Magby weakly and pitifully tried to get up, only to be met with two more electrical shocks. Chris sprinted to the creature, pinning it to the ground, almost exactly as Barry had done before. Teeth bared and a low growl emitting from his throat, sparks again began to consume Chris's body, charging up to deliver the final blow to the now unconcious opponent.

He truly thought, for a moment, he had lost control, that he would kill the creature, even though there was no need to. The little voice of reason in the back of his head pleaded not to do it, but the whisper was overpowered by the shout of his instincts. He thought he would loose himself, until a sharp pain across his back stopped him.

The world around him grew faint, his perception of everything around him grew weaker by the second. The fatigue he felt earlier returned. The energy he gained gone. The damage done across his back zapping all of his strength. He managed to stand up on to two legs and glance at Brooklyn and Barry right before he fainted.

"Pip!" Gwen cried, her body slamming into the now-detained Beedrill a second time. It was a satisfying feeling, and for an instant the idea of enjoying something so violent disturbed her. She let out a sigh, hopping back on her feet shakily. She could see Jake a little ways off, and it was at Kassie's cry that he came running back.

"We can get them, Jake," she called loudly, in a voice Gwen was beginning to fall in love with. "There's only three left. You take one, you too Gwen, and I'll take the last one."

Back on her feet, Gwen nodded. She could see Jake heading back towards them, and she peeped a happy, determined "Pip!" It was go-time.

Next to her, Kassie had curled up in a ball to taunt the creatures-- but she had her hard outer skin, and as far as Gwen could tell, her body was pretty much made up entirely of warm, lovable, chubby feathers and skin. The best course of action for Gwen seemed to be getting to the Beedrill before they got to her.

Behind her, she heard Jake call out with a "GWAH!" Glancing around, she found the third Beedrill that Kassie had mentioned-- a gristled-looking black and yellow beast. It hummed loudly at her, and so she lowered her head, charging semi-blind. Her best hope was to avoid the stinger.

The Beedrill revved itself up and headed towards Gwen point-first. She cringed, thinking about how much a needle that size would hurt, but kept moving. It wasn't five seconds later that they practically met, but all at once Gwen ducked down and the Beedrill passed over her. She jumped up, slamming up into him, but was not happy to feel the rock-hard exoskeleton of the creature pressing down on her. It buzzed angrily in pain, but slammed back down on her, causing her to cry out just as loudly.

"Piplup!" she screamed, feeling the hard body pressing down on her. The stinger flailed around crazily as the Beedrill tried to redirect it beneath himself, but he was having difficulty getting right-side-up. His wings beat hard against Gwen, slicing her skin and feathers. She reached around a flipper to try and tear at them, but to no avail-- they simply slipped away from her fingerless hands.

Why?! she thought to herself as she struggled. Why am I so flipping weak?!

She flopped around, desperately trying to avoid the stinger above her.

"Help!" she cried out, embarrassed but past caring in her desperation to avoid death. "Please hel--"

But she was cut short when the pain erupted in her left wing and spread across her body. The Beedrill had finally, after a good minute of struggling, gotten his stinger down beneath, into Gwen's wing.

"Piplup!" she screamed out in pain. Tears filled her eyes. She'd never quite felt a burning throughout her entire body like she was feeling now. She'd once been stung on the hand by a wasp as a small child, and her finger had hurt for what seemed like hours-- but it had only been her finger. Now it felt as if the feeling had been multiplied tenfold and spread across her body. Gwen flailed madly, desperate to rid herself of the pain, and of the heavy pokemon above her that seemed to suffocate her with his very presence.

[[OOC: I'm really hoping there's a Pecha Berry in that pile we were eating from, lulz.]]

The intense stare that the two Pokemon affixed each other with had to be broken somehow. As it turned out, it was a bee catching Gwen in the flipper with its stinger. Kassie peeped in surprise and came to her aid, claws extended. The bee she'd been staring down buzzed angrily at being ignored and flew after her, its stinger twitching. She came up next to Gwen and grasped the bee that was holding her down as well as she could with her stubby paws, and she pulled. The bee came lose and, deciding that it had had enough, flew off after its first three companions. Kassie whirled around then, poised and at the ready to take the bee's attack. Gwen was obviously in no state to, and Jake had already taken care of his, so the only one that was left was this one. She was already feeling the wear of this fight, but it was too. Its buzzing wasn't as furious as it had been when it first appeared, which was good news for Kassie. It meant that she might have a chance.

The bee flew at her, stingers extended and antennae twitching. Kassie stood her ground and chattered angrily at it, instincts once again taking over. As soon as it was near enough she lunged at it and clamped its foreleg between her teeth while she tore at its carapace with her claws. The buzzing intensified until she released it and it fled quickly, its pride bruised more than its body.

"Finally," Kassie gasped. Now that it was gone she slumped a little, panting. She'd never gone through such intense physical exertion. But she felt a strange sense of pride at having come through this successfully. Of course, she hadn't been alone, and she couldn't have done it alone. With that thought she returned her attention to Gwen. If she knew anything about the games, she assumed that she'd been poisoned. In the real world poisoning could range from vomiting to death in intensity, but from what she knew, in the Pokemon world it sapped away health at a constant rate until its victim succumbed to it. That wouldn't do, but what could she possibly do about it?

"Jake, Gwen, did either of you play the games?" she asked insistently. "I didn't, so I don't know what cures poison. Do either of you?"

Keaton laid there curled up a little. "Hey Keaton wake up buddy." He opened his eyes to see a purple and tan berry in front of his face. He jumped back startled and saw Beo standing there. For a moment he thought it was all a dream. He didn't know whether to be happy or sad. He looked at the berry and again, as awkwardly as the first time, reached his head out and took the berry and ate it. He hated not having hands, it complicated and made things weird.

"Thanks." Keaton thanked Beo, "So, about getting a camp set up, I'll go gather some sticks to make a--" he thought about that for a second. He couldn't gather firewood; he'd get it all wet and slobbery since he had no hands. And if the wood was wet it wouldn't catch on fire. He looked down a bit and continued, "I'll go, uh, pick be--" couldn't do that either, he'd slobber all over the berries. At this point he was feeling really useless and looked down. He took a deep breath, feeling something weird at the back of his throat, exhaled, and FIRE came shooting out of his mouth and to the ground! He jumped back in surprise as he watched the ground before him in flames. Then realizing he could burn down the entire forest he took his paw and stomped it out. His eyes where big and he looked up at Beo.

"When we need to light the fire, I'll just do that again. Other than that I can't think of anything else I can do to help set camp, since everything we have to gather I'd get all slobbery and wet…" he said looking down again. "I'm sorry I'm not of much use…" He said looking up at Beo again. He figured Beo might as well abandon him, since he was no use. He let out a sigh and went to lay down when he had an instinct to circle twice; he did since he was not in the mood to defy it. He lay down all curled up, "When the fire needs to be lit, tell me. Sorry again…"
