Pokemon Transformation- (PG-15)

Anyway, onto the introductions!" the mouse said sitting upright, Chris responding by crossing his arms. "I'm Sawyer. The arrogant scarfaced flame breath is Tobias and the monkey is Goka."

Chris's gaze never strayed from Tobias throughout all the introductions. He stared sternly into his eyes, a scowl covering his face. His cheeks grew red hot, just the thought of the lizard causing sparks to course through his veins. Despite all of the rage building inside him, Chris never bared his teeth or made a move, only for Brooklyn and Barry's sake though.

"Well, I'm Brooklyn" Brooklyn said before pointing at her two companions. "and this is Chris and Barry." As Brooklyn pointed at Chris, he looked away, snuffing the guests.

"Since you guys are so hopeless, we've decided to help out. We'll be taking care of dinner." Sawyer rubbed her paws together and grinned "We're having Crawdaunt over fried Oran and Pecha Berries"

"Crawdaunt?" Brooklyn blinked.

"Big lobster. Its quite strong, but its a good eat."

"Whatever." Chris mumbled, his ears twitching. Although he had to admit, it did sound rather good.

"Well that's reassuring. But we don't need your help, we already have fish and— Hey, that's our fish!" Brooklyn suddenly shouted. To this, Chris turned, almost immediately baring his teeth when he saw what happened.

"Not anymore its not, it wasn't even filling at all" the Charmander coyly said, picking at his teeth. The fury inside Chris grew exponentially, a guttural growl escaping his lips. His back stung as his body tensed up, sparks wrapping around his body, but he refused to let that stop him.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn got on all fours threateningly, the same feeling seemingly consuming her.

"Aw... Sorry. Did you catch that Kitty?" Tobias scoffed, grinning wide. "How can you call yourself a cat, anyways, catching only one, small sardine like that? S-A-D"

Chris dropped onto all fours, running to Brooklyn to help her in this battle, until Barry got there first.

"C'mon Brook," he said trying to calm her down, "I've just spent my first hours in this unknown place fighting dangerous creatures. Here's these kind fellows offering to catch us a feast for the night, let's not fight." He let go, trusting that she wouldn't proceed to fight. Chris, teeth still clenched, stopped as well, standing up on his back two legs. That damn lizard wouldn't get away with this.

The monkey spoke up this time, "Well let's not dawdle then. C'mon." He walked towards the beach, but paused and approached Barry, engaging in a short conversation, but apparently convincing him to come with them.

Following Goka back to the beach, Barry turned and faced the other four, "Who's coming?"

"Don't leave me out of it!" Tobias laughed, running past the two.

Chris glanced back at the "camp" before letting out a sigh. Leaving Barry alone with these creeps was just not him.

"Yeah… I'll come." Chris mumbled, directing his speech solely to Barry. He walked past the monkey, making sure to hit his shoulder with his own as he passed. "I'd love to see these guys in trouble."

Keaton walked back into the camp area. "Hey Keaton come here for a moment." He walked over and sat across the fire from Beo. He looked into Beo's eyes, not caring about his eye color, he was going to try to be himself as much as possible and if Beo still didn't like him, and then there would be a legit reason.

"I'm almost twenty" Beo said as he continued, "My twin brother would be almost be twenty as well, unfortunately he's no longer with me and it's my fault" Beo said as Keaton noticed a tear form in his eyes. Beo slowly started rubbing the scar under his eye. "During our senior year of high school we made the mistake of going to a party and doing some stupid things, but the stupidest off all was thinking I was ok enough to drive home that night... We were in an accident, and he didn't make it, I walked away with this scar under my eye. For months after that I wished it was me that died and not him, it was my fault that he is gone" Beo said whipping more tears from his eyes, Keaton felt sad for Beo although he could not really relate, even though he had lost his dad. "That's when I lost fate in everything, that's the reason I don't believe in destiny or god everything can be explained by science. Destiny wouldn't take someone away from you like that. Regardless the point I'm trying to make is even when hard times come you just have to push through them and not give up, no matter how much it hurts." Beo said as he stood up and took several deep breaths then turning back to Keaton, "I'm sorry for treating you like a child earlier, I promise from now on I won't look down on you" Keaton realized that Beo was right, no matter how much it hurts, move on. And for the first time in a long time Keaton smiled.

Realizing that Beo LIKED him. Why else would he tell him all that? Keaton was bursting with energy, since it had been awhile since anyone, besides his mom, showed interest in him. His happiness was intensified by the doglike instincts at the same time and was very active. His tail started to wag wildly and he started to feel a giddy feeling. "It's ok." Keaton finally replied. He noticed that it would be a bit odd that he was sad then BOOM! Super happy, so he toned it down as much as he could, but that wasn't much. Keaton's stomach started to growl, which cued his nose and he started to sniff the air. "Um, is it just me, or are these berries only satisfying for a little bit? I could really go for some meat right about now." He asked as he thought of what to eat. Meat, meat, meat, eating a Pokémon? That would just be weird, seeing as he was now one. How about fish? Yeah that would work! "Hey!" he started, still in a giddy dog mood, wagging his tail and what not, "Maybe we could catch some fish!" he finished before he remembered the weird feeling he had when he was in water.

After his quick little speech Beo noticed that Keaton's attitude changed almost immediately, he began acting like his dog sparky who would get excited when new people came into the house."It's ok." Keaton finally replied before he began sniffing around in the air "Um, is it just me, or are these berries only satisfying for a little bit? I could really go for some meat right about now."

"Hmm your right, fighting off those poochyenas really wore me down... But what could we get around here?" Beo replied rubbing his left hand to his chin in a thinking pose.

"Hey!" he started, still in a giddy dog mood, wagging his tail and what not,
"Maybe we could catch some fish!".
Beo quickly pointed his finger to the sky in a strange movie fashion when someone had an idea.

"I've got it!! We can go fishing!" Beo shouted before laughing "Ha just kidding man great idea but if were going to do it we should probably go now, because well i'm starving and it's going to get dark soon... who knows what comes out here in the dark" Beo said before putting the fire out with a stick.

"Oh you can lead don't worry i'll watch your back" And with that Keaton and Beo began to head towards the beach where the first washed on shore in this mysterious world.

"C'mon Brook," Barry said trying to calm her down, "I've just spent my first hours in this unknown place fighting dangerous creatures. Here's these kind fellows offering to catch us a feast for the night, let's not fight." He let go, trusting that she wouldn't proceed to fight.

"He is so lucky Barry stepped in just now, because I'd be on him, like white on rice!" Brooklyn gritted her teeth and glared one last time at Tobias, lowering her tail and retracting her claws, before huffing and backing away slightly to rest back on her hind legs, glancing slightly to her left, she had noticed Chris looking ready to jump the Charmander as well "At least I know he would've had my back, if I had attacked him" she smirked slightly at the thought before scratching at her side, while Goka spoke up while heading towards the beach "Well let's not dawdle then. C'mon."

Barry quickly began to follow the monkey and due to her excellent hearing, the two seemed to be getting along nicely "Better than the walking flame for brains anyway" she muttered narrowing her eyes at Tobias, who laughed and said he was coming along too once Goka asked who was tagging along, Chris wound up going too, but rudely bumped against Goka while walking past. "
I wonder if he holds grudges alot"

"You guys go ahead, we'll go collect the berries! Have fun boys! Don't kill each other now and Tobias behave!" Brooklyn heard the lizards derisive snort from all the way back at the camp once Sawyer yelled that out, Brooklyn narrowed her eyes at Sawyer, who raised an eyebrow "What?" Brooklyn growled, bearing her fangs "I don't like him. His attitude pisses me off" Sawyer sighed "He tends to do that, but Tobias isn't that bad, he just comes off like that, he's really a pretty cool mon" Brooklyn scoffed disbelievingly "well until he show that 'cool' side, he's a grade a douche" Sawyer blinked at the word "douche? What's a douche?" Brooklyn looked at the Rattata as though she had grown a second head, but then she realized, that she came from a different world and douche bags probably don't even exist in the Pokémon world.

"It's. . . err another way for saying jerk. . . and several other different and offensive meanings that wouldn't be appropriate for you to know" she added mentally while glancing away awkwardly "So, why are we getting extra berries? Barry got enough for us" Sawyer shook her head and motioned for Brooklyn to follow her "For your little trio maybe, but not for us, besides we're all growing mons here, that stuff isn't even enough to get me full" she pointed to the mediocre sized pile of berries before turning in the direction opposite of the boys "C'mon, there's these Pecha and Oran Berry trees not to far from where we stay" she explained while leading the way.

Brooklyn had a bit of trouble keeping up with Sawyer, mostly because the Rattata was smaller than her and could easily maneuver through the grass and bushes they had traversed through to get to their 'home' it was a nice little spot surrounded by trees and bushes "Hey Sawyer, where'd you go?!" Brooklyn glanced around the area, unable to spot the purple mouse "Over here!" Blinking Brooklyn took a step into the bush in front of her and then yelped as the ground suddenly disappeared beneath her paw and she wound up tumbling into a deep burrow underground she landed harshly on her back, paws sticking up in the air akimbo while her tail rested on her belly "Haha I meant by the bushes" dazedly Brooklyn blinked and the world around her suddenly was nothing but a blur "m-my glasses!"

Thump.

"Ouch!"

Upon realizing her spectacles weren't on her face, Brooklyn quickly shot up, but that was a bad move on her part, because the burrow was a lot smaller than her large head so she wound up striking her cranium harshly against the dirt above her. Whimpering she clutched her head and then felt around for her glasses, which had fallen off when she tumbled, Brooklyn felt around blindly for a few seconds before she found them and slid them back on her face, the good news, she could see again! Band news, her right lens is cracked and the frames are slightly bent so they're more looser on her face than they were before "Oh this is just great" she muttered annoyed while laying flat on her stomach and army crawling out of the burrow, glancing around for Sawyer.

Rustle. Rustle.

"I got the berries!" Sawyer popped out from one of the higher bushels above her with a grin, a large and tattered red scarf by her side, that was filled to the brim with blue and peach colored berries. Sawyer blinked, suddenly noting the change in Brooklyn's appearance, her cream fur was now smudged with dirt and the glasses she wore, what an odd Meowth, were messed up "what happened to you?" She asked in a curious and worried tone and Brooklyn pursed her lips sourly "I fell into a burrow. . . yours I'm guessing?"

Sawyer laughed sheepishly "Sorry, I should've warned you" Brooklyn sighed "Its fine. So where do Tobias and Goka sleep?" She glanced around the quaint little clearing filled with blue and peach colored berries "Well, Goka can usually be found in a tree and Tobias, he sorta just sleeps wherever, but when we're trying to hide from the humans its usually in the burrow we go or in the trees, Beedrill frequent these parts a lot so no ones stupid enough to tick those guys off purposely, even if it is for catching Pokémon."

"Ohh, you want me to carry that, you look like your struggling a little bit" Brooklyn found it quite amusing to watch the tiny Rattata stand on her hind legs and attempt to carry that scarf full of berries in her two tiny paws, the large bag practically dwarfed her in width and mass and all you really saw was her two purple feet in the end. She snickered while Sawyer attempted to take a step but started to wobble uncertainly on her two back paws, Brooklyn quickly took the bag in her mouth and allowed Sawyer to climb onto her head while making her way back to the camp "Thanks Brooklyn" Brook nodded her head due to her mouth being full, but the action caused her glasses to slide a little father down towards the bridge of where her nose would be, but she quickly fixed it with a push of her paw.

The trip back towards camp was a lot short than the trip to it, but that's how most trips are, they always feel shorter coming back. Brooklyn set the scarf on the ground beside the other berry pile and then unwrapped it, merging the extras with the ones they already had "Sweet, this will be more than enough, now we need a strip of bark or something. . ." Sawyer glanced around the clearing, only finding the extra wood and berries "Oh! I know! Be right back." Then as though she had some sort of revelation, she perked up and then quickly ran off, leaving Brooklyn to blink at the spot where she was for a few seconds before Sawyer came dashing back into the clearing moments later, dragging a large and thick leaf, that had to be as about as tall as Barry or Tobias and in the middle were a few long and thin pieces of wood "What's this for?" Brooklyn only stared as Sawyer took half the mixture of berries and set them on the leaf and put the sticks off to the side "I'm gonna need you to cut all this up for us, so we can put the berries on a stick and roast them or if you don't that's why I left the other half of the pile whole. . . I mean if you want." She shrugged "I was just thinking we might need a bit of variety is all" Brooklyn nodded slightly in understanding and then whipped out her claws, they appeared with a dramatic gleam, courtesy of the sun, and a slight shinging noise.

Sawyer grinned and then with all the strength she could muster, and a little help from Brooklyn's tail, she tossed the leaf up slightly, causing the berries to shoot into the air and Brooklyn closed her eyes in concentration with her back turned, mimicking the style of most samurai films, at the, what she hoped was, correct time she lashed out with her claws, opening her eyes to see the berries cut neatly into a set of thick and colorful cubes, stacked neatly in a pyramid style on the leaf "Whoa, I'm
good" Brooklyn looked at her claws admiringly and Sawyer just rolled her eyes with a slight smile "I wonder how the boys are doing. . ."

At the mention of the opposite sex, Brooklyn stopped admiring her claws and lidded her eyes at the thought of a certain arrogant scarfaced Charmander "drowning Tobias I hope" she muttered offhandedly, causing Sawyer to burst into a fit of girlish giggles and soon Brooklyn joined in, their loud raucous laughter echoing through the camp.

"You guys go ahead, we'll go collect the berries! Have fun boys! Don't kill each other now and Tobias behave!" Chris's ears perked up as he heard the purple rat shout at them. He raised a paw up in the air to wave back, not even bothering to turn around and keeping on walking. As long as that idiotic, arrogant, "flame for brains", d-bag didn't talk to him, he might be able to keep some of his sanity.

As if on cue, Tobias ran up giving Chris a hard slap on the back. "Hey Sparky! That was pretty bold of you, bumping into Goka. If it was me you bumped into, I would've eaten you." Chris' eye twitched as the lizard spoke, but all the while he never made eye contact. To fix this, the Charmander ran in front of him, walking backwards."Arceus. What's your deal? I mean look at you! You're a wreck right now. Sparking at Goka, you should really apologize for that by the way, and encouraging your friend to fight me, even though she would've lost." Sparks began to jump around Chris. "Yeah, life sucks sometimes! Especially if you're trying to be as good as me. But-"

Chris cut the lizard off before he got a chance to say another word. "Look. Alright. I've kinda had a- … a weird day. I've been turned into something that isn't supposed to exist, I've been attacked by some demented kid and a crazy monkey, and I've met some ignorant, arrogant lizard who can't keep quiet!" Chris sped up, walking past the Tobias, who just matched his pace.

"Wow, Sparky. You've got quite the temper."

"God… That's because you obviously don't listen to anything. And my name's not "Sparky" It's Chris."

"You're not really that normal, are you Sparky?"

"Gee. What tipped you off? The headphones, or the fact that I'm not insane or egotistical? I'm human."

"Yeah, that doesn't sound insane to me." The Charmander sarcastically replied, shooting a stream of flame out of its mouth.

Chris scoffed at the Charmander, turning his gaze away. "Whatever." If he didn't want to believe him, fine. Although, it was a pretty crazy story, and if everything wasn't out to kill them, whether with fangs or from being annoying, then maybe his first experience as a Pokemon would've been different.

The smell of the ocean soon filled his nose, the scent all too familiar to him. Luckily, he couldn't smell or see the trainer that was there before; or really anything at all. The beach was completely empty.

"You'll love this Crawdaunt, Sparky. Sawyer always cooks it to perfection." The Charmander beamed, strutting onto the beach. "'Course, I can cook better, being a Fire-Pokemon and all that. But I think it's nice to let Sawyer have a chance of doing something. Can't show everyone up all the time you know!"

Chris suddenly cringed, the pain in his back intensifying. The berry he ate obviously wasn't enough to make the pain stop completely. He stopped in place as his vision started to blur alongside the pain, causing him to sway back and forth momentarily. Tobias, noticing this, turned and addressed the Pikachu.

"You alright?" Chris heard the lizard say. He shook his head, trying to get everything to fall back into focus.

"Uh. Yeah. I'll be fine." As if those were the magic words, Chris' vision snapped back into place and he regained his balance, but the feeling was still fresh in his mind. Hundreds of thoughts flooded his mind, telling him what to do next. "Tell you what. I'm going to… uh… sit this one out. I've already been knocked out once today." Chris walked over to a bank in the sand, flopping onto his back. "I'll help you guys out if you get in trouble, but I really don't want to… um…" Chris muttered the last part through clenched teeth, every word killing him more than the last. "…Get in the way."

"Great! Just Great!" Tobias moaned, walking away from Chris. Chris clenched his teeth a little harder. It was hard enough for him to admit that he probably couldn't help without the lizard moaning. "Here I thought we had an Electric Type on our side, so we could get this done quick and get some grub!" The lizard turned back to the group, giving off a prideful smirk. "Good thing I came along to fight. I'm better than an electric type anyways." Done with his little monologue, Tobias turned to Goka, grin wide on its face. "So, Goka! How do we lure out our dinner? … If only Sawyer was here. Live bait aways works the best."

"So, Goka! How do we lure out our dinner? … If only Sawyer was here. Live bait aways works the best." Tobias said, eager for some food,

"Well, we could try..." Goka began, before looking out to see and pausing - at this point Barry was already chest-deep in the water, splashing about and shouting,

"Heeeeere fishy fishy!"

Goka facepalmed, "What... in the hell?"

Barry frowned - he was sure that would work. He dunked under briefly, picking up a large pebble and throwing it out to see. There was a small splash - followed by an even bigger splash. The watter suddenly began to get choppy in that small area, and it began to move straight towards Barry. He cocked his head in confusion, which was probably a bad idea, because as soon as the rippling waves reached him, he was slammed in the gut and hurled back ashore. Barry rolled across the sand, gasping for breath.

"Jesus!" he moaned, "What was th..." A large shadow suddenly loomed over him. Barry hesitantly looked up and saw a large crustacian type form against the dying sunset. It growled, water still running off of its thick hide,

"I don't like to be hit on the head." His tone was threatening, "It ruins my star," the creature motioned with a scarily large pincer to a star on its forehead. It brought the same pincer up, ready to strike.

Barry took haste and scrambled along the sad on all fours like a dog, narrowly missing the crushing blow. He stood up next to Goka and Tobias,

"Y'know, picking berries sound just fine!" He said laughing nervously, "Good luck with dinner guys!" He was about to take off, however Goka grabbed his arm, stopping him in his tracks,

"You're not going anywhere..." he said, cracking a small grin, "We're taking this Crawdaunt out!"

Barry looked again at the crustacian. It was red in colour, and stood upright with two huge claws. Beneath its head star were two, very angry looking eyes.

Barry gulped, "Yea... yea! You're right!" Feeling a new sense of courage, he took a step towards Crawdaunt,

"Be warned creature of the sea!" he said melodramatically, "For we," he glanced at his party - a fire monkey, lizard, and Pikachu respectively. Each about a foot and a half in height, "... will... eat you."

Barry realised how ridiculous that sounded, and so did the lobster, judging by its sudden burst of laughter.

"After you guys," Barry said to Tobias and Goka, motioning to Crawdaunt.

(OOC: I have to go somewhere now :P Fire away! :D)

Beo pointed his finger to the sky in as if he had an idea."I've got it!! We can go fishing!" Keaton tilted his head as Beo said this then Beo started laughing "Ha just kidding man great idea but if we're going to do it we should probably go now, because well I'm starving and it's going to get dark soon... who knows what comes out here in the dark" Beo said, then he put the fire out with a stick. Keaton stood up and looked at Beo to see if he was ready.

"Oh you can lead don't worry I'll watch your back" Beo said and Keaton started walking towards the beach. As they walked Keaton thought to himself. He hadn't been this happy since, well he couldn't remember when. He felt weird at the same time; his new doglike behavior was a source of his exploding happiness. Dogs seemed to always be happy, or sad. Actually, they seemed to be extremely happy or really sad. Keaton figured that he was on the high end of the mood spectrum, just hoping he wouldn't go to the low end. He liked being happy, especially since someone started to like him, and if he got all depressed that might affect their friendship.

He stopped thinking when they got to the beach and the familiar salty smell. He sat so close to the water that the waves almost touched him. He closed his eyes and took in all the smells he could, but he smelled more than him, Beo, and the sea. Off to the right of him he smelled about four or five other Pokémon off to the right of them. He looked to the left and saw four figures in the distance, three on the beach and one in the water. "Hey! Over there!" Keaton said to Beo looking over to the others, "Maybe they are like us!" Keaton continued, but after he said that, another figure blasted out of the water and slammed into the one already in the water sending him flying back to the shore.

Keaton's eyes went wide, "Looks like they may need some help! Come on!" Keaton yelled to Beo as he started to run down the shore for the other group.

Jake grabbed as many berries as he could and began to walk towards the trees, but Kassie stood still for a moment. She'd dug a sizable hole, and Gwen ran over to look at it, still bursting with energy and feeling a burst of childishness clogging her train of thought.

"Woooooow!" she whistled into the hole, leaning in deep to look inside and immediately feeling her balance failing. She fell forward, her head dunking into the sand, and without hands it was a moment of flopping around before she could brace herself with the ends of her flippers.

The sand fell around her, clogging her nose, and Gwen wiggled backwards, flailing a bit to haul herself out of the hole. Her tail feathers wiggled comically in the air, and her eyes squinted shut to wink out the sand. Once her head was free, Gwen stood up quickly, brushing her face with her flippers, and sneezing once loudly.

Way to go stupid, she thought to herself. Since when had she become so immature? Sticking her head in holes and getting sand up her nose-- Jessie would have had a field day making fun of her for this. She opened her eyes, glancing around, and quickly saw something that she could use to draw her attention away from her unplanned clown routine.

"Hey, did you draw this? This is so cute!" she gushed, waddling over to the picture in the sand and pointing down. She glanced up at Kassie, begging for an answer that affirmed diversion from any talk of her fall.

: As you sit there, tending to your wounds, eating the berries, and talking about future plans… you fail to notice one thing, mainly the huge dinosaur-like creatures approaching from behind you. One, a purple giant with a massive horn, capable of whatever you can imagine, and spikes protruding from its body. The other, slightly smaller and a deep blue, but colossal nonetheless. With the horn and spikes that cover its body are smaller, but still look like they could maim.

In a voice that mocks an old English accent, the purple monster addresses its blue counterpart.

"Something troubling you, m' queen?"

The blue one, the "queen" , glances at you before responding. "Yes, my king. I do believe these ruffians are destroying the natural beauty and grace of thy holy garden."

With a quick nip on the cheek, the "king" soothes her." Of course, my queen, I shall make short work of them."

You soon find that you're attacks have little to no effect on either of the creatures, and soon opt to run. However, if you all run in a group, the creature will follow you all, so, you will have to divide into two or three groups in order to escape (how you decide to split up the group is up to you).

"Keaton hold on just a second you can't just take off towards a group of people fighting they may be unfriendly!!" Beo shouted to Keaton trying to get him to think before leaping into action. "Ah for the love of fried ham!" He wailed before charging after Keaton towards the group of fighting pokemon.

From what Beo could make out there was four pokemon fighting against a strange looking lobster. One of the figures he made out was a yellow rodent that any normal teenager who grew up during the pokemon era would know as a Pikachu. As he grew closer he noticed the other looked like a chubby teddy bear wearing a skirt, as for the other two he pictured one as a monkey on fire, and some type of lizard for the other. And then finally Beo had caughten up to Keaton but at that point they were already next to the group.

"Next time I tell you to hold on, please just hold on!" Beo exclaimed as the others quickly noticed him and he could only hope what he said next would make them seem friendly. "Hey there, need some help?" Beo asked with a nervous smile on his face.

Kassie tilted her head slightly, watching Gwen bounce off the theoretical walls and peek down the hole she had dug. In just a moment she had managed to fall into it. The hole caved in around her and Gwen wiggled comically in an effort to get out. When she didn't emerge immediately Kassie began to get concerned. The sand could suffocate her. But just as she moved to dig her out Gwen popped out, seemingly embarrassed. That thought was affirmed by her quick changing of the subject. Kassie looked down at the little sand doodle she'd made and nodded, feeling a bit nervous over having her work examined.

"I've always kind of liked drawing," she said quietly. "Back home I own an animal sanctuary. The animals are good subjects."

She started to relax a little. It made no sense, that she'd been more at ease taking down giant bees. She needed to learn to calm down and just relax. It wasn't as though Gwen or anything else was going to try to eat her. Just as the thought crossed her mind she heard a gruff voice behind her.

"Something troubling you, m'queen?"

Kassie turned slightly to glance over her shoulder and froze. Two large creatures were eyeing them, one purple, and one blue. Both were adorned with several horns and spines, but the purple one's were the worst.

The blue one glanced at Kassie and Gwen before responding. "Yes, my king. I do believe these ruffians are destroying the natural beauty and grace of thy holy garden."

The purple nuzzled her and nipped her cheek affectionately. "Of course my queen, I shall make short work of them."

Kassie squeaked with fright and wheeled around. "Gwen!" she peeped, not wanting the little bird to be caught unaware. The purple creature snorted and lowered his horn.

"Thou hast upset my queen. Thine pelts shall adorn our royal hall as tapestries and rugs."

This foe seemed far more dangerous than the bees, but Kassie had learned to be more confident in her abilities. She hissed, trying to look intimidating. The purple creature laughed, a low, grunting noise. "You are as a lowly street urchin, shrew. I fear you not."

He charged at her and struck out with his muscular hind legs. The first hit caught her in the vulnerable stomach and she curled into a ball from the pain, her eyes watering. The next kick slammed her into the ground, causing her pain even through her tough hide. When he backed up for another go she uncurled and lunged at him, her claws catching him between the eyes. He just laughed. "If you succumb quickly I shant make it painful."

When Jake looked back to check if Gwen and Kassie were following him, he was disappointed to see that Gwen had somehow gotten her head stuck in the sand. He then looked a bit to the side, and saw that there were two huge dinosaur-like creatures... Pokemon, Jake thought, They're Pokemon, not just creatures! He couldn't make out what they were saying, but it seemed as if they didn't want Gwen and Kassie where they were. The purple dinosaur Pokemon kicked Kassie, and Jake began to run back towards them. "Hang on, I'm coming!" Jake yelled, just as he saw Kassie scratch the purple dinosaur between the eyes. The dinosaur just laughed, and said something still inaudible to Jake.

"Hey!" Jake yelled at the dinosaur, trying to get it's attention away from Gwen and Kassie, "Pick on someone your own size!" Jake regretted his words as soon as they came out of his mouth.

"Ah, but there is no one here my own size," The dinosaur looked around mockingly, pretending to look for someone bigger, and then turned back to Jake. "And thy friends have offended both m'lady and myself. Now you must depart from our royal presences, before you offend m'lady and myself furhter."

Jake considered his options. He could either stay and protect his new friends, or he could run and leave Gwen and Kassie to perish. "No," Jake said hesitantly, "I'm not going to let you hurt them like that!" Jake tried to tackle the dinosaur, like he did with the bees, but he just hit the dinosaur and bounced off. "Owowowowow..." Jake said as he rubbed his head with his paws.

The dinosaur laughed. "Your assaults are naught but a tickle, young flamespitter. In fact, I doubt that you can even spit flames!" Both the dinosaurs laughed at that.

"I can't spit flame," Jake said while gritting his teeth, "But I can shoot smoke!" And with that, a cloud of smoke came billowing out of Jake's mouth.

"Argh!" The purple dinosaur cried, "My eyes! Thou hast determined thy path, knave. I shalt spare thou no mercy!" The dinosaur jabbed at where he had last seen Jake, and but to no avail. Jake had already moved, towards where he had seen Kassie and Gwen.

"Come on!" Jake yelled, as he grabbed one of their hands, "We've got to get out of here!" And with that, he dashed out of the smoke cloud, still holding the other Pokemon's hand.

((OOC: I left it open to who Jake grabbed, so just like earlier, you can pick what to do. It's easier to not bunny by doing that.))

Whilst the first words had been exchanged between the new arrivals, Gwen had been desperately trying to decide which of the pokemon in front of her was a Nidorina, and which was a Nidorino. Or were these both Nidoran? She'd never been able to keep it straight, and even now it was something that pestered her. It should be easy right? Right?! But no-- she always forgot.

Her thoughts didn't really focus back into the situation until the first attack was attempted. The purple one charged Kassie, his horn prepped for contact. It hit hard, and Kassie tumbled backwards, but jumped back up quickly to rake her claws across the Nidorina(o?)(ran?!)'s face-- to no avail. It laughed at her, a sound that made Gwen's feathers twitch along her spine.

These are way tougher than the Beedrill, she realized with a sinking feeling. There's no way in hell we're going to be able to beat them.

Jake charged in suddenly, taunting the angered attacker, and giving Gwen time to wiggle closer towards Kassie. With a final rebuttal, Jake filled the air with smoke-- a thick, dark, rolling cloud of smoke that clogged Gwen's lungs and made her eyes water. She reached out for Kassie, but felt nothing. A moment later, and the horn that had hit Kassie before struck Gwen in the side and sent the tiny penguin flying out of the smoke cloud. She moaned loudly, rolling on her side half a dozen times before skidding to a stop in the sand, closer to the water than the forest.

"Jake? Kassie?" she moaned, pushing herself up, but they were nowhere to be seen. Instead, the fat purple head emerged from the smoke, horn lowered and glinting in the setting sunlight. Gwen's eyes grew wide-- it was time for her to run!

Chris sat there, jaw almost to the floor at the sight of the giant lobster, the so called "Crawdaunt", standing before Barry, Tobias, and uh… the monkey. This is what they were hunting? It was freaking huge! Then again, they were only about a foot tall themselves. But still, the creature towered over them, and thanks to Barry's great rock throwing skills, it was ticked off.

"Aw man, Aw Man, aw man." Chris groaned as he jumped up from his seat, only to be rewarded with a familiar and reoccurring pain from his back. <Just fight through it.> He told himself, running over on all fours to the group.

However, as he approached earshot, Barry stepped up to the lobster, saying probably one of the most awkward things possible, given the situation.

"Be warned creature of the sea!" he said melodramatically, "For we, - a fire monkey, lizard, and Pikachu respectively. Each about a foot and a half in height, "... will... eat you."

Chris stopped in his path, standing onto two legs solely to put a paw over his eyes and cover his face in shame. He mumbled under his breath. "How the hell did I get stuck with these peopl- er, Pokemon?"

Instead the embarrassment Chris felt, the Crawdaunt burst into laughter, almost to the point of tears (that is, if lobsters can cry).

"After you guys," Barry said, motioning to Crawdaunt.

Absolutely sure his face was turning red (under the fur, that is), Chris dropped back down onto all fours, trotting next to the group, giving Barry a look that said "What the hell was that?".

"Yeah… Thought you guys might need me after all." Chris muttered to Barry, coming to a stop next to him. Glancing at the lobster, its laughter now echoing down the beach, he continued. "But then I heard you're little speech, so I know you guys do need me."

Up close, the lobster looked a lot taller… and its pincers looked bigger… and the shell looked stronger… it just looked bad for them. Where to begin to even fight this thing? <I suppose we could always make it laugh to death; then again, Barry's already tried that.>

Contrary to what Chris was going through, Tobias, the arrogant lizard, stood before his opponent, doing, of all things, humming a tune, painfully unaware of the speeches and dialogue happening around him, just waiting for the fighting to start. He glanced back casually, but became visibly stunned when he saw Chris standing next to his green furred friend. With speed that rivaled the Flash, the lizard sprinted up to the lobster, impressively (Chris had to admit) leaping several feet in the air, before slashing it across the forehead with his claws. Although the move left a solid dent in the Crawdaunt's "star", it also snapped the creature out of its hysterics.

"Oh. Hey Sparky!" Tobias turned to Chris and the rest of the group, trying his absolute best to look surprised. "Didn't see you there! Don't worry, we got this under control!"

"Yeah, I can tell." <Douchebag> Chris silently added, rolling his eyes for emphasis.

"Next time I tell you to hold on, please just hold on!" An unfamiliar voice suddenly shouted from behind them. Chris glanced behind him before resetting his gaze on the lobster. Behind them were some more Pokémon. One, something that resembled a mix between a canine and a tiger, the other, a strange meld between a dinosaur and a human. Hopefully, they weren't Sawyer or Tobias' friends (if they had any other ones) or wanted to eat them, because then they would be in trouble.

"Hey there, need some help?" One of them asked rather nervously.

Tobias was the first to respond, sprinting right up to the dinosaur-like one. "Oh, No." He puffed out his chest, somehow hoping it would make him seem more threatening to the taller Pokemon. "We saw this baby first." He spun around, pointing at the Crawdaunt and licking his lips. "And he's going to make a tasty meal." Turning back to the dog and dinosaur/human, Tobias continued, brushing them away. "So go on. Scat. No free dinner here."

"Woah!" Chris ran up, standing in between Tobias and the new arrivals. "We'll take all the help we can get."

"Why?"

Ignoring the question, Chris continued speaking. "Introductions can come later, right now we-"

"…Have a battle to fight."

Chris turned to the voice. "Exactl-" However, Chris stopped in mid-sentence as he realized he was staring at the lobster. He had forgotten all about the fight. Almost to punish him for doing so, The Crawdaunt quickly brought a pincer down from above, causing Chris to instinctively roll to the side. A cloud of sand erupted from where he was only moments before. Tobias stood next to him, eyes narrowed on the Lobster. Chris stood onto all fours, grinding his teeth. "I think hunting Crawdaunt was your idea, Tobias."

The Charmander turned to Chris, giving him a toothy grin. "Yeah, isn't it fun!?"

Chris only responded with a sigh.

"Keaton hold on just a second you can't just take off towards a group of people fighting they may be unfriendly!!" Beo shouted as Keaton ran, Keaton kept going because he knew they could help. "Ah for the love of fried ham!" He yelled then started to follow Keaton. That made Keaton smile, since he could have just let Keaton go, but since they were friends he came along.

As Keaton got closer he made out what each Pokémon was. The world famous Pikachu, a monkey with its butt on fire, a lizard of some sort on two legs, a teal teddy bear looking thing, and a giant lobster with a star on its head, who appeared to be the one all the others were fighting. The enemy was at least two times the size of Keaton! Keaton had made it to where the others were with Beo right behind him."Next time I tell you to hold on, please just hold on!" Beo told Keaton as they looked at the other Pokémon, "Hey there need some help?" Beo continued looking nervous.

The lizard directed his attention to Beo, "Oh, No." Keaton could tell that the lizard was trying to look bigger than Beo, but it wasn't working to well, "We saw this baby first."the lizard continued turning and licking his lips, as if he alone could take it down, "And he's going to make a tasty meal." He said turning back to Keaton and Beo, "So go on. Scat. No free dinner here." The lizard finished brushing them away, but Keaton was not convinced they could take the big lobster.

"Woah!" The Pikachu said as it came between Keaton, Beo, and the lizard, "We'll take all the help we can get.""Why?" the lizard asked. The Pikachu ignored the question and continued speaking, "Introductions can come later, right now we-""…Have a battle to fight." The lobster finished the sentence.

The Pikachu turned to the lobster, "Exactl-" Although the Pikachu hadn't noticed who said it. The The lobster brought its pincer down as the Pikachu rolled to the side and a wave of sand burst from the contact point. The lizard went to the Pikachu's side, who got on all fours, "I think hunting Crawdaunt was your idea, Tobias." The Pikachu said. "Yeah, isn't it fun!?" the lizard apparently Tobias said.

Keaton realized that this was action time, he took a deep breath and started to shoot fire, but his aim was off and he only hit the lobster, probably called a Crawdaunt, as mentioned before, once. The other three times hit wildly to the sides, hopefully not hitting anyone. "Heh! You think your fire attacks will affect me?" The Crawdaunt scoffed. <Crap! I can't hurt something from the water with fire!> Then Keaton remembered the battle with the dogs from earlier. He had bitten them maybe that would work! He concluded, although not noticing the flaws in his plan since he was so hyped up on adrenalin. He dashed for the big lobster that swung for Keaton but Keaton ducked and it missed. He ran for the other claw and jumped fangs ready and bit down on the hard claw and yelped. The claw was so hard that it chipped his tooth and he let go falling to the ground.

The Crawdaunt pulled back its claw and swung hitting Keaton in the side and sent him flying falling on the ground in front of Beo and the others. He resisted the urge to just lie there and black out as he struggled to stand up.

"Woah!" The Pikachu said as it came between Keaton, Beo, and the lizard, "We'll take all the help we can get."

"Why?" the lizard asked. The Pikachu ignored the question and continued speaking. Beo was already starting to dislike the lizard pokemon standing before him.

"Introductions can come later, right now we-"

"…Have a battle to fight." The lobster finished the sentence.

Beo then watched as Keaton began spraying fire at the Crawdaunt but his attacks were awfully spread out wildly and only one actually hit the giant lobster. Beo was hoping it would do enough damage to at least scare him away but he knew that wouldn't be the case.

"Heh! You think your fire attacks will affect me?" The Crawdaunt scoffed. Then all of a sudden Keaton lunged at the Crawdaunt trying to act brave biting into it's claw but he quickly was thrown off.

The Crawdaunt pulled back its claw and swung hitting Keaton in the side sending him flying right in front of himself and the rest of the new group.

"Keaton!!" Beo shouted running to the side of his friend who was now having a hard time standing up. Beo began getting angered and a fierce look grew in his eyes, he wasn't going to let this giant lobster get away with hitting his friend.

"Hey you big piece of fish meat why don't you pick on somebody who can defend themselves better!" Beo yelled charging straight for him.

"Huh?" The Crawdaunt said puzzled as Beo leaped in the air, springing off his back right foot and leading with his left kicking the Crawdaunt straight in the jaw flipping it over to its back and sinking into the water it came from.

"Woo, I'm getting better at using moves" Beo said cockily as he swiftly landed back to the ground facing the rest of the group as he put his hands on his hips. Then all of a sudden he felt a brute force in his left ribs and was flung halfway across the beach by the Crawdaunts claw.

"Try your luck again next time boy" Crawdaunt roared at him as Beo slowly dug himself out of the sand. As he stood up he could feel the weakness in his ribs and was having real hard time breathing.

"Crap, I think he broke a few ribs" Beo softly whispered basically dragging himself back over to Keaton all the while taking short deep breaths.

At least Chris had decided to hop into the fight too. That meant Barry could do what he thought best - run away. He would have, had Tobias not caught his attention with a suberb slash.

"Hey there, need some help?" A voice asked. Barry saw a dog and a small grey human like creature nearby now. Tobias and Chris scrambled over and responded to the newcomers, before Crawdaunt lashed out again. Chris and the others just managed to dodge before the small orange dog attacked by breathing fire. Some of the shots missed, and the giant lobster seemed to be unphased. Barry couldn't help but watch as the dog ran in to attack, before getting hammered by a large pincer. Barry winced as he recalled how painful it was, clutching his stomach. Next the small humanoid ran in,

"Hey you big piece of fish meat why don't you pick on somebody who can defend themselves better!"

He swiftly delivered a kick to the monster's jaw, sending it falling into the water. Celebrations were cut short however as, once more, Crawdaunt swept its arm and smashed the grey guy to the side.

"Jesus that thing's a tank..." Barry said to himself.

He suddenly heard a sort of battle cry from behind him, before Goka could be seen running over on all fours. It jumped, and Crawdaunt noticed. It threw its pincer forward in a punching motion, however Goka's foot erupted into a ball of fire. The monkey delivered a searing hot kick at the claws, deflecting the attack and sending both pokemon stumbling back a few feet. Goka landed, but as soon as he did he leapt for Crawdaunt's stomach, scratching and swiping away furiously with his hands. The giant lobster grunted in pain, and grabbed Goka in one of his pincers.

"I'll kill you, monkey!" Crawdaunt growled, obviously irritated,

"B-bite me you sack of sh-!" Goka groaned. Crawdaunt interrupted him by squeezing.

Barry slapped his forehead, "Why, why?! Why am I just standing here?" He ran infront of Crawdaunt, and noticed his fingers were glowing again. Time for some more hydro water action!

"Hey! Big man!" Crawdaunt looked over at Barry, "Let him go - or I'll have to intervene..."

"What? You're going to throw another rock are you?" Crawdaunt laughed,

Barry thrust a glowing finger into the air. A ball formed at the end, then expanded into a large bone. It fell snugly into Barry's hand.

Barry blinked, "...where's the water blast?"

"That's Bonemerang!" Goka called over, still distressed, "You used Metronome didn't you!"

"Boney-what?"

"Aack!" Crawdaunt clamped down tighter, beginning to crush Goka, "Just THROW IT!!"

Barry, desperate to free the chimp, hurled the bone with all his might. It flew fast, but he missed Crawdaunt completely. The lobster burst out laughing at Barry's failed attempt, failing to notice the bone turn in midair and head straight back.

The bone smashed into the back of Crawdaunt's skull, throwing the creature forward and flat on its face into the sand with a thud. Its grip loosened and Goka jumped free, clutching his chest in pain. Barry thrust his arms into the air,

"Aww yeah!" he cheered, "Who's the man! Who's the man! It's me - Barry McAr-"

The bone, however continued traveling and smacked Barry square in the face. Barry fell onto his back as the bone dispersed into nothing.

Hey lay there, seeing stars, "...ow..."

Crawdaunt growled as it got to its feet, "How about I eat you, Munchlax! That would be ironic, indeed!"

[OOC - Classic Barry moment there ;) I love Bonemerang xD]

"Jeeze, what's taking the boys so long" Sawyer was sprawled out on her stomach, lazily swishing her tail back and forth through her line of vision "I dunno. . . maybe they are really drowning Tobias" Brooklyn responded cynically from her position on her side, she held her head with one paw, propped up in the dirt, while the other lazily drew circles with her claw, a bored sigh escaped their lips as the two girls continued with their current ticks to keep them occupied. "Ugh, I'm bored" Brooklyn groaned before falling onto her back and closing her eyes, her legs and arms sort of just dangled limply in the air, making her look like a possum that was playing dead.

Poke.

Poke.

"Stop it. . ." she grumbled, batting her paw at the hand.

Poke.

Poke.

"Quit it." She hissed, that poking was beginning to become annoying.

Poke.

Poke.

"Sawyer I said stop it!" Snapping, Brooklyn shot up and glared at the Rattata, who just blinked in confusion up at her glare, she was still in the same spot when she had been since Brooklyn closed her eyes "Stop what? I've sitting over he—err hello" Sawyer glanced tilted her head slightly and was staring at something behind her.

"Huh?" Brooklyn blinked and then slowly turned around, her frame covered eyes met two diamond shaped eyes, a weird imp like creature stood before her, the mysterious purple creature grinned slowly, revealing a set of sharp fangs and then it wiggled its claws "Hi" Brooklyn's eyes just narrowed slightly at the weird Pokémon "Can we help you?"

"I'm sorry to bother you and your um friend, but I have a bit of a problem" sheepishly, the imp scratched at the back of his head "problem?" Both females sat up, Brooklyn resting back on her haunches and Sawyer sitting on her hind legs, and glanced at one another before looking back at the imp "What's the problem?" Sawyer asked and the imp looked at her, frowning slightly "I've lost my goggles. . . well not lost, they got stolen."

"Stolen? Well, why don't you just get them back?" Brooklyn was lost, why did this thing need their help to go steal back his stuff "Well you see. . ." the imp scratched its cheek and began to explain "this Fearow took it and flew away. I managed to follow it back to its nest nearby but. . ."

"But?"

"I can't climb hehe" the imp gave them another sheepish grin "and you guys were the first Pokémon I ran into and well, I know that Meowth's are very good climbers, so please can you help me?" Brooklyn was about to decline his request, because the boys could be back any moment with their dinner, but Sawyer beat her to the punch "of course we'll help! Just lead the way!"

"B-But Sawyer!" She gestured towards the food and the Rattata just waved her off "Oh it'll be fine, the boys will be back soon, so c'mon!" Brooklyn felt her eye twitch as she made an exasperated face "t-that's not what I was talking about." The imp looked at both of them and smiled thankfully at Sawyer "Thank you"

"Uh huh, no problem! By the way, my names Sawyer and this is Brooklyn"

"I'm Abel the Sableye, nice to meet you" He responded with a toothy grin.

Gwen rolled to her side, struggling to get up in the sand. The horn was practically in her backside when she'd finally made it to her feet.

Oh God, oh God, oh God, oh God!!!

Her mind was wiped blank, and her feet seemed to move on their own. She turned towards the water, and in an instant she was sprinting for it, wincing and grabbing her side where the beast had hit her. Her flippers hit the water with a splashing noise, but she couldn't hear it over the pulsing of blood in her ears.

The water came up to her waist quickly-- she wasn't that big. Gwen dared to look back, and saw the Nido... whatever, had stopped at the foaming shoreline. It snorted loudly, and called out to her.

"If thou even thinks that they shall return to ravage our forests, thou shall receive the same warm welcome upon return."

Gwen didn't quite understand the words, but she got the gist of what the thing was saying-- stay out. She kept moving towards the water, with nowhere else to go, and soon felt it rising above her head, and her body slipping in with the same ease as earlier. She swayed her body, moving around and feeling herself becoming calm in her element. A school of Magikarp swam by, and she smiled when she realized she knew what they were.

It felt like she'd been under for about ten minutes when she popped back up. The two Nido-monsters were nowhere to be seen.

Good, Gwen thought, with an audible sigh, I can just sneak back up.

She submerged herself again, watching the bubbles rise to the top of the water from below her. She could see the shore approaching, and peeked and gave a quick glance around for danger before hopping out of the water and dashing for the forest. Hopefully Jake and Kassie would be waiting for her there...

"Crap, I think he broke a few ribs" The humanoid/lizard whispered between short breaths. dragging himself back over to the unconscious dog.

"I warned you." Tobias smirked, crossing his arms. "Should've left it to us. But you had to jump in."

"Tobias!" Chris barked, stomping up to him. "Shut up! You really think that's helping."

"Whatever, Sparks. Just telling the truth."

Chris was about to tear the lizard to shreds, when he heard a sharp shout, almost like a battle cry, coming from behind. Chris turned around, only to see the monkey, sprinting towards the lobster on all fours. It jumped, and Crawdaunt noticed. Goka's foot suddenly erupted into flames as it made contact with the lobster's pincer, sending both stumbling back. Goka recovered first, immediately rebounded towards the crab's stomach, scratching and swiping away furiously with his hands. The giant lobster grunted in pain, and suddenly, grabbed the monkey in one of his pincers.

"I'll kill you, monkey!" Crawdaunt growled, obviously irritated,

"B-bite me you sack of sh-!" Goka groaned. Crawdaunt interrupted him by crushing him.

Barry was the first to respond to the threat. "Hey! Big man!" Crawdaunt looked over at Barry, still squeezing Goka "Let him go - or I'll have to intervene..."

"What? You're going to throw another rock are you?" Crawdaunt laughed. Barry ran over, wagging his finger. At first, Chris thought he was insane, until a giant bone materialized out of nowhere, falling snugly into Barry's hand. While Chris was gaping at the magic act, the monkey shouted directions.

Chris facepawed; he had a sickening feeling he'd be doing that a lot around Barry.

Crawdaunt growled as it got to its feet, "How about I eat you, Munchlax! That would be ironic, indeed!"

While Tobias burst out laughing about the "joke", Chris cocked his head sideways. "Wait… why is that 'ironic'?"

"Wow." The fire-lizard said, in between laughing. "You've got no knowledge of any Pokémon, do you?" Now done with laughing, Tobias turned to the Crawdaunt. "But, sorry. We can't let you eat him. Sawyer would give me another lecture if I lost another of her friends…" He put a claw to his chin, thinking aloud. "…Although, he was rather tasty."

"Ignoring that." Chris chimed, running in between the lobster and Barry. Sparks began to cover his body, energy coursing through his veins. He let loose a lightning bolt, hitting the lobster square in the star. The lobster bellowed in pain as electricity coursed through its body. More sparks covered Chris' being as he readied another attack. However, he was cut short when Tobias rammed into him, disrupting his concentration.

"Thanks for warming him up, Sparky" He growled, puffing up his chest. While at first, Chris thought it was a failed attempt at looking menacing, Tobias soon set forth an inferno of flames from his maw. Chris stood there, awestruck as the blaze engulfed the lobster, spinning around it momentarily before dissipating. "Heh. Fire." The lizard chuckled putting a clawed hand on Chris' head, wisps of fire still present around his mouth. "Gotta love it."

A low growl escaped from Chris's throat. He shook his head, causing Tobias to remove his hand. The lobster, now swaying slightly back and forth, looked up, only to see another bolt of electricity hit him in the chest. Chris looked back at Tobias, smirk on his face, as the lobster cried in pain, even more satisfied when a disgruntled look fell upon Tobias's face. Tobias pushed Chris out of the way, repeating the same flame act from earlier.

Chris ran up again to force Tobias out of the way, but this time the lizard stood his ground.

"What are you doing?" Chris snarled through clenched teeth while getting onto two legs.

Tobias responded in the same tone and fashion, getting right into Chris's face. "Fighting. Stop getting in my way."

"I'm helping out! You're the one that keeps knocking me over!" Chris growled back, getting closer to the lizard.

"Yeah, 'cause you're in my way"

"You think you're all that you flame brained-"

"I think you're just jealous that I'm stronger than you."

"You wanna follow that one up?"

"Sure! You wanna-"

"ENOUGH!"

Both Chris and Tobias turned simultaneously, only to see the lobster back on its "feet". With a fearsome roar, the lobster lifted its pincers up. Although at first, Chris thought the creature was delusional, until the waves around the Crawdaunt began to grow choppy. Out of nowhere, a giant wave spewed out of the ocean behind the lobster, arcing over the lobster's head, and heading straight towards Chris and Tobias. Chris could feel his ears fall as the wave grew closer.

"Oh. Sh-" Chris started to say, but never got to finish. The wave crashed down upon them with surprising force. For a moment, Chris couldn't tell where he was. Up, down, left, right; all seemed irrelevant as he swirled around. Suddenly, he hit something he realized: the ground. As the water around him dissipated, Chris opened his muzzle and gasped for air to soothe his strained lungs.

"Tobias!" Chris heard a shout from somewhere around him, a few moments later, recognizing it as Goka's, the monkey's, voice. He rolled over to see Tobias in the exact same situation as him, gasping for air. However, the once strong flame on the lizard's tail was faint. As the monkey ran over to the lizard's side, Chris struggled onto all fours, falling at first, but succeeding soon after. That accomplished, Chris balanced himself onto two legs. The world around him focused in and out, pain coursed from everywhere in his body, but he stayed standing.

"Barry…" Chris said in between panting. "Get up… I need your help." Still gasping for air and eyes glued to the lobster, Chris addressed the other two. "Goka! Protect Tobias! And uh… you." Chris turned to address the humanoid dinosaur protecting his canine comrade. "Sorry to get you dragged into this. Run if you want… but if not, make sure our friends stay safe. After a reassuring smile towards them, Chris focused back onto the lobster. He lifted a paw up, panting and pointing at the lobster. "Barry… I'll distract it. You hit it. Sound good?"

Without even giving Barry time for a response, Chris was off, bounding towards the creature on all fours, each and every step taking more work than the last. As he approached the lobster, it raised one of its pincers, intent on crushing Chris.

"You're a lively bunch, aren't you? Ah well, more fun eating you then!" The Crawdaunt chuckled, slamming into the sand in front of Chris.

"Wow. You suck!" Chris chimed out to the lobster, still panting and standing in front of the crater it created. "I can't believe you missed me! Ha!" Annoyed, the lobster responded by slamming its other pincer down, however, Chris had already moved out of the way, standing in the waves lapping against the shore. "Really?" Chris taunted, wagging his tail back and forth. "My God. Are you Ok? You can't even hit me!" Sparks again began to course over his body, as the lobster tried to hit him again. This time though, instead of a comment, Chris electrocuted the lobster with all he had left, forcing the already weakened lobster down onto its stomach.

"Barry!" Chris panted, falling onto his stomach as well, the previous attack draining him of all his energy. He just rolled onto his stinging back, gasping for air, while the waves lapped against him.
