6th Gen Pokemon Transportation

In Gen IV (well DPP as Kanto had the Pal park and that was HgSs' post game) we needed a certain number of Pokémon before we could transfer (I wasn't aware of this until awhile ago when I looked up Pal Park on Bulbapedia).
They could block it by having Poke Bank be unable to read copies that haven't completed the game at least once.

Hopefully we get the national pokedex, without having to complete the regional pokedex.

Surely we will be able to transfer to Pokemon X and Y via Pokemon bank and then from X and Y to ORAS via normal trading methods thorugh WIFI. I don't think Bank will be set up for ORAS right away, but eventually yes.

I'd personally hate it if you can't use pokebank, as I don't have a second 3DS nor anyone who owns one ;w;

I hope Nintendo acknowledges there are more people with this issue and let Pokebank allow to transfer pokemon ^.^"

To be honest, it could reduce development time. They don't need to code in a seperate transferring option for the game.
That way they can also get more cash by forcing people to buy pokebank

I'm sure Pokebank will be used for these games. After all they are meant to bridge the different generations together. They can't just leave ORAS' pokemon out on the way to future games. Plus the girl who talks to us in Bank originated from Gen III herself :3

But theres one thing that may be hard to counter and it's Wonder Trade if it come back in ORAS. If the Wonder Trade is linked with XY then ORAS will give XY pokemons once you get 1 pokemon.

Good point, but it'll make wonder trade more fun, as it could be the only way to get XY Pokemon pre National dex :)

And there's a chance we could just trade pokemon from X/Y to ORAS no problem if you have two 3DS or someone that has one. Good thing I didn't sell my other 3DS XL. I'll be testing when the time comes.

I hope they will add no further requirements than getting the Pokédex for trading or connecting to the Pokébank. Not being able to freely trade before completing the game was an aspect that I absolutely HATED about FR/LG and Emerald. It might be justifiable in the case of FR/LG (using only the first original 151 Pokémon) , but it takes away from the choice, and that's what I have an issue with. I like planning a team before starting a new game and sending a bunch of eggs to the game I just restarted to have my team from the get go. FR, LG and Emerald were the only games where I couldn't do that. Good thing this "feature" never came back in subsequent games.

If I want to restrict my choices to Hoenn-exclusive Pokémon in OR/AS, I'll just avoid trading. If I don't want to, then... I won't :) .

Actually you could trade to Emerald Pokemon from Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald so long as they were in the regional dex.

Yeah, I know :) . I didn't elaborate because I assumed everyone knew exactly what I was talking about :) .

I did some experimenting recently when I replayed all my Gen 3 games: while you could trade Pokémon in the regional Dex before getting the National upgrade, eggs were a complete no-no, no matter the Pokémon inside, at least in FR and LG.

Again, so glad this restriction was never brought back again. I'm OK with being authentic to the original game, but I'd like to have the option to do whatever I want if I so choose.

I hated that factor too, but I doubt it'll come back because it hasn't been present in the more recent games. I remember in DPPt I was able to trade myself some National Dex Pokemon just fine, they just wouldn't show up in the Pokedex till I upgraded.

I was really hoping it would be like a transporter. But I honestly think Pokémon Bank is the new transporter, which also costs money. Nice. :(

To be honest it is a remake I think you can trade them like X pokemon to ruby as you could do that with soul silver to diamond and I really sure pokebank will be use aswell
