Pokemon: Unova masters

Adell rushed in interest to see what was in the box, surprised to see a fairly strong Panpour look interest at Ivy. It walked over at Adell, after fighting off the Pidove, rather shyly. "So, do you want to come with me?" He watched it nod a yes, then threw a pokeball at it. It quickly chimed, signaling a capture. It was then he remembered that she asked his name, though he was sure he said it before. "Oh, in case you didn't hear before, Shadow, my name is Adell. And this is Ivy. Maybe you've seen her before since she had a previous owner who returned her as she saw the journey might be dangerous, at least, that is what the professor said.....(Thinking he was forgeting something)......Oh, I've got to name my Panpour now that I caught it."

He let the Panpour out, and temporarily separated from the group. "So, what do you want to be named............" He saw that it acted like a shy girl, guessing the right gender, "what about..... Izumi" It was a name he heard that meant fountain, a fitting name for a female water type. Izumi noded yes shyly, then climbed to his shoulder on the opposite of Ivy. Then Adell walked back to the group.
 
I smiled as the Pansage climbed from the box onto my arm. Then from there he went up until he reached my head. I laughed as the Pokemon started tickling me and then it suddenly stopped after seeing how much fun it's friends were having with their new trainers.

" Hey, Pansage would you like to be my Grass Type Pokemon " I asked it quietly. It nodded and then I threw a Pokeball up into the air and it landed on top of the Pansage and started to shake a couple times until it glew showing me that I caught it. I looked at the other two and threw up it's Pokeball and out came the Pansage with a smiled on his face.

" Pansage go and meet Lili the Lillipup andTeps the Tepig." I said and the Pansage listened and walked over to the two Pokemon and started to chat with them. Teps was smiling about the fact that he had made a new friends. Lili on the other hand wasn't that happy that the Pansage was getting all the attention. The Pansage walked over to me and smiled.

" How would you like it if I called you Raime " I asked it and the smile on it's face showed that it liked the name another thing that showed that he liked the new name was that after I said that he kept jumping up and down.
 
"Work on your skills, and maybe I'll battle you again. Pupitar, let's go." the guy said before walking away with his Pupitar. "That Pupitar...that thing was too strong." Zero thought until he saw a Pansear on his leg. "What is this thing?" Zero wondered, trying to pry the Pansear off his leg. He managed to get the Pansear off his leg, and headed for the Pokemon Center to go get Oshawott healed. "I wonder...does that guy have more than that Pupitar?" Zero thought. He walked into the Pokemon Center and walked over to the front desk. "Nurse Joy, could you heal my Oshawott?" Zero asked.

Shadow went after the boy with the Oshawott. She went into the pokemon center and handed Nurse Joy her pokemon. "Thank you! They'll be back in no time!" the nurse promised. Shadow turned to the boy and cleared her throat. "Can I ask you something? Why on earth are you being so anti-social? It's not like I bite or anything. I was helping Rafael because he's my friend" she said. Nurse Joy came back with her pokemon and Shadow released them both. Litwick, as usual, settled down into Shadow's arms. Munna just floated next to her new trainer. "I'm not trying to be rude, so if I've offended you in any way, please tell me so I can correct the issue" she said.
 
"First, I have no idea who you are. As far as I know, you could be a member of Team Rocket or Team Plasma. Second, what does it matter if I'm anti-social. I spent a majority of my childhood alone. It doesn't matter..." Zero said before getting his Oshawott from Nurse Joy. Seconds afterward, Oshawott came out of it's poke ball on it's own, and jumped onto Zero's head. "That Pupitar really did a number on you, Oshawott. Don't worry, we'll get him next time...if we find him." Zero said to his Oshawott. "I'll really have to up my arsenal if I want a shot at beating that Pupitar..." Zero thought before starting to walk towards the door.
 
Shadow gaped at the boy, before running and stopping in front of him. "Why on earth would I be part something so horrible, dirty, underhanded, and down right nasty like Team Rocket or Team Plasma?! I detest everything they are, do, and stand for. If I meet one I will give them a fight they won't soon forget. I'm sorry that you were alone for almost you're entire childhood, but it does matter. No one should spend their childhood alone" she said, her voice growing more gentle.
 
The Pansear that Zero ignored earlier was waiting outside while Zero was healing his Oshawatt. When it saw Zero come out it once again clung onto his leg with a smile on its face. " Pan-Pansear" (Why won't you take me with you) was what the Pansear asked Zero before putting it's head down.

I looked around and before I knew it Shadow had went running after Zero. I followed and Pansage stood on my head and Tepig and Lillipup were following close behind. I sighed and smiled when I finally found her.
 
Zero was silent. "You just wouldn't understand how it was for someone like me..." Zero simply said with a hint of fear in his voice. Oshawott simply listened to the conversation without any expression at all. "It wasn't really so easy spending days without any human interaction. I lived with my uncle, but he was rarely around. He was normally too busy to even check up on me back then..." Zero thought as memories of his past flashed through his mind. "I hated it back then..." Zero thought.
 
Talking to the boy made Shadow remember how her parents always chose her friends for her, not letting her really have fun. A few tears fell down her face. "Liittt?" her partner said. "Muuuna?" her Munna said, floating next to her. "I-I'll be fine guys. J-just remembering something" she said, wiping her eyes. Her pokemon snuggled into her, giving their form of comfort. She carefully placed her hand on the boy's shoulder. "That was the past. Live in the present" she said, trying to be cheery
 
"My past can only forever haunt my memories. Oshawott, let's head out." Zero said, leaving the pokemon center, planning to head for Route 2 until he saw the Pansear on his leg again. "Man, what is up with thing thing?" Zero said, pulling the Pansear off his leg again before walking towards Route 2. "Living in the present is impossible for me...as long as my past haunts me. Plus, what's up with that monkey thing grabbing my leg? My legs are not fruit. Seriously." Zero thought as he walked.
 
Adell saw the events transpire from afar, and it seemed that it was starting to get........personal. He looked away, and walked toward the begining of the next route, figuring they want privacy, not pity and an audiance. Izumi and Ivy looked back worringly, but understood Adell's intentions. He would wait for them all at Route 2.
 
Shadow made her way to route 2, her face betraying no emotions and her blue eyes calm. She saw Adell and shrugged. Her Munna floated over, and began humming and floating around. She walked over some-what reluctantly and caught her Munna. "Sorry about that Adell" she said quietly.
 
"No need to apologize, it's fine." Relived to see at least she calmed down. "He's stubborn as a Bouffalant though. It is a small mystery why he won't capture the Pansear though, as it would at least cover Oshawott's weaknesses, somewhat." And there where not many fire types too in the begining either. Well, he can deal with it himself, he thought. "Well, are we ready, we don't want to fall too far behind, do we."
 
She smiled, trying to make it seem real. "Sure. Otherwise when we do end up battling we'll be so far behind there would be no way we could keep up" she said, stroking Litwick's side. "My dad has a Bouffalant. It's the sweetest thing you could ever see. Should I try to teach Litwick Will O' Wisp first? Or Hex? I would like both, but I'll settle for one" she said.
 
I looked and saw that everybody had left onto route 2 and I followed them there. I heard Adell say "Well, are we ready, we don't want to fall too far behind, do we." That made me walk a little bit faster.

" Hey don't leave me behind. " I said to the two of them before I stopped and had to catch my breath. After I caught my breath I looked up and smiled before seeing the Pansear from earlier run past us and into a tree. It seemed like it was hit by a Sand Attack which had temporarly blinded it. It slowly stood back up and looked dizzy. Suddenly it fell back down.
 
Zero and his Oshawott entered Route 2, observing the surroundings of the route before proceeding forward. "Soon, we will get stronger. We'll beat that guy with the Pupitar...one day." Zero thought as he walked. Many pieces flashed through his head, but he paid no mind to it. "Oshawott, you still ok to battle just in case? I know you got beat pretty bad against that Pupitar, but I just need to be sure." Zero said to his Oshawott, and it simply nodded. "Good. Although, Oshawott alone won't cover it against that guy. I'll need a solid team to beat that guy." Zero thought until he noticed the same Pansear from before. "Is that thing a stalker as well as a moron? Something dumb like that wouldn't benifit to defeating the guy with the Pupitar at all. I need something strong and manly." Zero said before continuing to walk. Oshawott jumped off Zero's head, and decided to punch some sense into Pansear. It hit Pansear in the face with it's Scalchop before walking back over to Zero.
 
He saw as Rapael ran to catch up to the spot they were standing, and after a lot of thought, gave an answer to Shadow.

"Not really sure. Your Litwick has fire moves which have a chance of burn themselves, so Hex would be good to finish it off if you burn it with an attack. But their are a lot of physical normal types in the begining routes, which Hex wouldn't do anything to, and Will-o-Wisp would garantee a burn, making battles easier in the long run, for tougher battles. I guess it is your preferance, but I would personally chose Will-o-Wisp and fight defensively.......Sorry if I said too much." He relized that he said a lot more than he intended on the subject, and hoped he didn't bore her with an extended explanation.
 
Shadow smiled. "No no no. I'm actually very interested in that. You have good reasoning and it sounds like you would have a pretty solid battle plan. However I'm the kind of trainer who preys on they type weakness of her opponents. I also like to use status effect moves. Toxic, Will O' Wisp, Hex, things like that. It weakens them, and then I could go in and my normally weak attacks will be so much greater in effectiveness. It's an odd plan, but one I can easily see myself using, and with great success" she said, brushing some stray hairs out of her eyes. Her Litwick chimed, it's flame glowing bright and strong. "You'll be great Litwick. I just know it" she assured her pokemon. "Muunnaa?" her Psychic type asked. "Yes, you'll be great too Munna." she said, stroking the pink and purple flowered pokemon.
 
I looked at my Pansage and it smiled at me slightly. It had fire in his eyes and then looked at Lili my Lillipup. I looked surprise and knew that it wanted to battle but I ignored it for a few seconds and started to walk onto the route until I saw the Pansear from earlier getting hit with the Oshawotts Schalop. Pansage looked mad and then it sent vines from it's body towards the Oshawott as it's Vine Whip attack which would've hit and been super effective. I looked at Pansage in surprise as the Vines went closer and closer to the Oshawott
 
Oshawott turned around and noticed the vines coming. It tugged on Zero's hair, and he turned around. "Crap! We're under attack. Let's try evading it, Oshawott." Zero said, grabbing Oshawott off his head before running up ahead until he heard a battle going on around the corner. He peeked around the corner to see the mystery guy battling three Team Plasma Grunts with a Sawk. He was up against two Watchogs and a Liepard. "Give it up. There's no way your Sawk can beat all of our pokemon at once." a Team Plasma grunt said, but the mystery guy laughed. "Team Plasma grunts like you, challenging random people. I find people like you rather sad and annoying. Sawk, use Brick Break." the mystery guy said. Sawk quickly ran at one of the Watchogs and hit it with a strong, but swift chop before karate chopping it and jumping back. The Watchog fainted rather easily. "Damn, this guy is tough." a Team Plasma grunt said, returning his Watchog. "If we gang up on it, that Sawk can't counterattack. Liepard, Shadow Claw!" another Team Plasma grunt said before the Liepard lunged at Sawk. "Watchog, Hyper Fang!" the third Team Plasma grunt said before his Watchog went at Sawk and bit it at full force while Liepard slashed at Sawk. The mystery guy simply snapped his finger, and Sawk used Counter to take down it's remaining opponents. "Now, take your pokemon to get healed right now." the mystery guy said before the two other Plasma grunts returned their pokemon and ran towards Striaton City. "Sawk, return." the mystery guy said before returning his Sawk, and walking towards Striaton. Zero and Oshawott simply stood there with their mouths wide open. "That...was brutal. I knew he was tough, but he's way out of our league, Oshawott. We'll never beat him. We need to up our team arsenal right now." Zero said, trying to consider good potential pokemon to catch.
