HeartGold hack: Pokemon WoofGold and MasterSilver (Complete)

I played a little and I absolutely love the hack. Great job! Is it possible for you to add level caps as well? That would be a great addition.
I could, but since the idea was to make a romhack that matches my nostalgia, I left the mechanics untouched. Same reason there's no Fairy type or moves from later gens, which would both be easy to add in.

Where can you get the all evolution stones & other specific evolution items ?? The docs you provided didn't specify where to get them. Thanks. 😊
Added a dedicated page for the items that were changed. Thanks for the feedback, the previous explanation was easy to miss.

Glad to here people are enjoying the hack so far. It's my first romhack, and I greatly appreciate the positive experience yal are having!

Since I mainly tried to focus on a boat load of smaller changes instead of more major ones, I had an issue in playtesting where people were feeling it was too similar to base game. The purpose is to feel like it could be made by GameFreak so that isn't a bad thing technically, but that extended to problems I was trying to fix. I made some changes, and I'm glad they seem to have worked for the final release.

Fair enough. I noticed that the difficulty is good enough actually and doesn't require any caps.

Regarding the items page: I've checked your page for the evolution items but it doesn't include the location of the water stone, fire stone and thunder stone. Are they unchanged from vanilla?

Also, the move tutors at the frontier are all postgame in vanilla, which is a pity. Did you add any new move tutors in johto before the Elite 4?

Yeah, the difficulty was partially balanced around the player likely being below level caps since that happens a lot in actual Pokemon games.

If items are unchanged from Vanilla I didn't include them on that page. Technically the Pokeathelon additions replace existing things, but the things they replace are minor things like Rare Candies.

I did not add new move tutors. One thing I like about the older Pokemon games is the more limited movepools that expand as you progress. I did change the level up movesets quite a bit on some mons, but no new move tutors.

Version Exclusives are as follows

-Arcanine in Gold, Ninetales in Silver
-Ariados in Gold, Ledian in Silver
-Granbull in Gold, Persian in Silver
-Gliscor in Gold, Skarmory in Silver
-Mantine in Gold, Delibird in Silver.
Eh why have Version Exclusives if it's based on Crystal Legacy

It was initially inspired by Crystal Legacy, but it did diverge a lot during development.

I like version exclusives (although GameFreak often makes questionable choices with them), and since I was making a rom for both versions I kept them to keep some difference.

Encountered a couple bugs early in the game (not sure if it's cause of me playing on my 3ds or not)

EDIT: turns out the bugs are cuz of my TW menu and HGSS roms not working properly :( wish I could play your hack

Hi! Nice hack, congratuations.

I wanna know if you restored the legendary/mythic events, such as the ones from hoenn, sinnoh and celebi.

Thanks!

I don't know about all events, but I know emulator cheat codes still work for Celebi, so I'm assuming they work for all events.

I'm not sure what I can do to help, but if there is anything I'd love to do so.

Is there a list of stones used for pokemon that can't be traded, also can I find arbiter early?
There is such a list in the documentation. Several stones were added to the Pokeathelon while a few more have a chance to be on the pokemon when caught.

I'm not sure what you mean by arbiter. Is that a non-english name for a pokemon or item?

Ah I misspelled arbiter but I found the arbiter, so how do you catch Celebi then?

Here is a GameFaqs post with the cheat codes for Celebi and Spike-Eared Pichu. On emulator, they'll let you access the original events. In regards to using them, you should be able to find a tutorial on how to use them on the emulator of your choice.
