PokeMorph Liberation Force: Kanto

As Clove rose into the air, he looked down at the Rhyperior morph which seemed blinded by rage and instantly changed targets to Jade. Unfortuantely, this was apart of Clove's plan. The Rhyperior was so simple minded that it would be easy to bait him into the trap that would end him. Clove could feel the warmth of the sun soaking into the spikes on his body, it felt absolutely great. Clove not only felt the beam charge but some of his strength returning as well. He looked down to observe the battle field, they had really done a number on this town. The trench of destruction carved through the center of town, the ruined buildings, he began to wonder what the civilians thought about the mini war raging outside their homes. Were they happy?

Clove could also see Denx and Amy handling the Aerodactyl morph. They were definitely having a rough time but suddenly Amy lost her edge in battle and was taken out into a lake while the Aerodactyl dealt with Denx.

"At least she landed in the water... being part Vaporeon, she'll at least be alright until we can get aid to her"

It was just then that a bright flash of light caught Clove's eye with the Aerodactyl fight. Electricity danced all over the streets and through the phone lines, shooting sparks everywhere. Denx had finally lost control of his powers. Considering how young he was it was almost to be expected, but the release of energy seemed to have grounded the Aerodactyl...permanently. Its smoldering body lay on the ground charred to a crisp. luckily Clove was too high for the electricity and being a rock type, Jade shouldn't be effected much. Through his thoughts, Clove had started the decent towards the ground. It was time to face the Rhyperior one last time. He landed softy, a distance away from it and turned confidently, holding his palms out in front of him.

"HEY RHYPERITARD!" He yelled across the field. "Why don't you come get some of this, you don't wanna fight her and you know it."

The Rhyperior turned towards the taunt, with his eyes red with rage. Exactly what Clove wanted. The morph charged hard, ready to finish the job it didn't have the chance to before.

"ROCK WRECCKERRR!!!!!" He screamed as his polished body raced towards Clove and an unreal speed. Clove kept the ball of energy between his palms, ready to fire as the Rhyperior grew closer.

"Heh.. okay... Solar be--" He stopped before finishing his call. "Psych!" He clapped his hands together, smashing the ball of light between his palms causing it to explode in a bright light that blinded the area, enveloping the buildings and leaving no shadows. As the light slowly faded back to normal, the Rhyperior looked around for his opponent, baffled and confused. Suddenly Clove appeared above the morph's head in midair in a blur of blackness with his arm wound around his body. He flung it, hurling down a storm of needles into the Rhyperior's eyes, puncturing and nailing their mark. The morph wailed in pain, grasping its bleeding eyes and throwing its arms around stomping and flailing violently.

"MY EYES! ARGH! YOU!! YOU!" He proceeded to curse Clove while flinging around trying to blindly connect with his body.

"The fights over, I figured your body couldn't be ALL solid. I noticed it when i threw a pin missle earlier. Normally you wouldn't have been concerned about the needles and let them break against your body. But when you saw me in position, you protected your face... It didn't take a genius, all i needed to do was find an opening. My Solar Beam would have hurt you, but you would have just gotten back up and i would have been immobilized...But enough of this idle banter, Its time for you to atone for your sins...Faint Attack" Clove said calmly amidst the Rhyperior's flailing movements. He vanished, appearing behind the Rhyperior for the final time. He pulled all his spikes back into his body except one long one sprouting from his forearm. He moved quickly and swiftly without hesitation and leaped slightly into the air, stabbing down the Rhyperior's spinal chord. A fatal spot for any organism.

The morph immediately ceased its movements as his arms went limp, followed by its knees giving out from under it. It fell to the ground with a loud thud as it slowly slid off of the solitary spike. Clove quickly retracted it like a switchblade as he stumbled a few steps, completely exhausted from the fight. He dropped to his knees for a second to gain his composure but spoke from his huddled over position with stern direct orders, being sure to retain his leadership stature.

"Jade. Go tend to Denx, take him somewhere safe and stay with him until he regains consciousness." He said to her with a bold tone of voice. He stood up, struggling with the exhaustion. "I'm going to retrieve Amy..." He immediately ran as fast as he could towards the outskirts of town to the location of the small lake.

"Amy! Don't move, i'm coming to get you..." He inhaled deeply as he leaped into the lake, swimming towards her, hoping he didn't end up being the one that needed to be saved.

"The only left is Brock...I hope they can do it..." He thought to himself as he pushed more distance between him and the lake shore towards Amy.

Jade's attacks were interupted as electricity danced about the streets, effecting anything and everything that was vulnerable. She was thankful that she was a rock type and, therefore, safe. Sparks were flying everywhere, landing dangerously close to even the lake that Amy had landed in only moments before. Thank God she's a water type. The Aerodactyl Morph lay dead in the streets; Denx must have lost control...

Still firing dark energy toward the Rherperior, Jade looked up momentarily to see Clove descending. She was nervous about what would happen next.

"HEY RHYPERITARD!" He yelled across the field. "Why don't you come get some of this, you don't wanna fight her and you know it."

Jade frowned, but tried not to take this comment too seriously; he was just taunting the Morph, and it worked. The Rhyperior quickly forgot about her and charged enthusiastically toward his new target. All she would do now was watch.

"ROCK WRECCKERRR!!!!!" He screamed, running toward Clove. Clove had his ball of energy between his hands, ready and waiting.

"Heh.. okay... Solar be--" He stopped before finishing his call, What's he doing? "Psych!" He clapped his hands together and the ball exploded flashing the brightest light over the entire perimeter. Jade was blinded, just like the Rhyperior. Thankfully she could feel her surroundings and tried not to hurt herself until the light faded. The monstrous Morph looked confused and as Clove came out of no where, she knew it was about to be finished. Needles pierced the eye sockets and Clove's face began to glow with victory.

Jade ran closer, just in case back up was needed. She frowned, I feel totally useless. I barely did anything here...

Her leader vanished and appeared once again, behind the Morph, with a single needle and stabbed him right where it mattered. The spinal chord. The Morph went limp, and it was over. Jade ran to Clove's side, bounding over larger rubble, her graceful ways making a guest appearance.

"Jade. Go tend to Denx, take him somewhere safe and stay with him until he regains consciousness." He said to her with a bold tone of voice. He stood up, struggling with the exhaustion. "I'm going to retrieve Amy..."

She watched him go, off toward the lake to where Amy had landed after a brutal hit from the, now dead, Aerodactyl Morph. I do hope Denx is all right. And I hope the sewer crew is doing all right. These guys were hard to beat; Brock is going to be a pain.

Thinking back to the explosion of electricity, she tried to remember where the tremors of uncontrolled power came from. Her feet had felt them somewhere to her right, toward the Pewter Gym. She ran swiftly, keeping an eye open for any other Morphs who were looking for trouble.

"Denx?" she called, trying not to be too loud. Jade was cautious; she couldn't afford to grab unwanted attention. All those Dark Pulses had taken too much energy out of her. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she saw the familiar Raichu tail. As she got closer she said his name again, "Denx?", but he did not move.

He appeared to be paralyzed. By his own attack? Jade knelt down and touched his head softly; she didn't know if he could hear her or not, "Denx, I'm here to help. I'm going to keep you safe ok?"
Would a paralyze heal work on a Morph? she wondered momentarily. Jade checked her surroundings and noticed the Mart had been destroyed. The merchandise is probably still in there...

Sighing heavily, she rotated back to Denx, "I'm going to be right back." She ran to the Mart, keeping check on the vibrations in the ground, and searched the remains. Potion, potion, pokeball, antidote, potion... she threw these things aside. Oh! Paralyze Heal! She grabbed it and hoped that Denx was still there when she returned.

He was and Jade took the medicine and sprayed it all over Denx like she would a pokemon. All she could do now was wait.

"As much as I'd hate to issue commands as if I were leading this campaign, I'll charge up a Water Pulse as I go up there and launch it at him as soon as possible. As soon as this is done, Mandi will teleport behind him and immediately launch a Focus Blast..."

As Alice issued the rest of the commands, Mandi started to drift off into her own thoughts.

"Hmm, I may as well start charging up Focus Blast right now, hopefully, I can make Focus Blast decently strong. Considering all these attacks I've been throwing out randomly."

"...Sky Uppercut as soon as possible; hopefully we will then get him outside, where we will get help and if we're incredibly lucky, Clove may have a Solar Beam left; that's if he hasn't had to resort to it already. Then the four us can just fight to the best of our abilities."

"Hopefully, all of us aren't still fatigued from the last two battles. Otherwise, we may not be able to get through this without casualties."

Mandi shook her head, all she could do now was trust in her teammates.She focused,keeping as much energy she already had for Focus Blast, while she searched for Brock's energy.

"Three... two... one... now!" Alice whispered as she grasped the ladders and hurled herself through the hole.

Waiting a few moments as Alice launched her Water Pulse, the moment Alice's attack had made contact, Mandi quickly teleported up, landing just a few inches from Brock. Raising her right hand, she quickly let go of the energy she built up for Focus Blast.

"Focus Blast!"

As the brown energy of pent up emotions and thoughts was let out loose, it had directly hit the back of Brock's head damaging him quite fairly. The next moment was too quick for Mandi to keep up with, as Brock instantly reacted, he raised his foot high up, and the next moment, slamming it back down upon the ground, catching Mandi off guard. As the Earthquake struck her, she landed quite a few meters away from the others.

"Ugh, all I can do now is hope Victor can get Brock with Sky Uppercut,distracting Brock for a few minutes, so I can teleport back over to the others."
 
"Mandi!" Alice yelled. Her teammate had just been hit by a very effective looking Earthquake. "Stay calm."

"Hmm hmm," came the deep voice of the Golem-morph. His voice was deep, yet it seemed o have a sinister undertone, rather croaky. "Oh come on, I hate to give the generic monologue, but do you really think that two, untrained and pathetic morphs can actually finish me? I congratulate you on your surprise attack, well planned and executed. But, you wouldn't be the first to try and stop me, and you won't be the first to fail." Brock's speech served as an adiqute distraction, lowering Alice's guard. As soon as he'd finished, Brock slammed his foot down hard, unleashing another earthquake, this sent Alice smashing into a nearby wall before gently sliding onto the floor. "ROCK BLAST!" he bawled from the middle of what would be the Pokemon battle arena. He used his brute strength to rip rocks from the arena and hurled them at Alice.

"Double Team."

The purple haired girl seemingly split herself into many copies, surrounding Brock and leaving him confused. The morph hadn't done much for his brain.

"Our strategies don't mix, you focus on a rock hard defense and brute strength, I focus on quick hits and evasive moves; throughout today's conquest throughout the city I've been hit by two attacks, one of which was your own." Alice explained.

"What? I'm was an official gym leader; trained in all strategies. You think I didn't know that?" Brock laughed again. "I have a little trick up my sleeve for people like you."

"Okay, he's smarter than I gave him credit for. But not that smart, he hasn't realized my true intention. I managed to get him away from Mandi.= and he's distracted which buys me some time for the second phase of my plan. But I can't distract him for too much longer, Victor and Reid need to get here soon."

"STEALTH ROCK!" Brock wailed. Nothing seemed to happen, the tension he built was anticlimactic.

"Stealth Rock... better be careful, they could be anywhere." Slice's afterimages had faded. "Focus Punch." Alice had been building the energy for focus punch ever she had finished using Double Team. She launched at Brock with her glowing Ambipom fists. One of her fists collided with and seemingly destroyed a part of stealth rock, subsequently weakening her hit. She got closer and closer. Suddenly, a large amount of spewing flames shot from Brock's sharp toothed mouth. The flamethrower sent Alice smashing into a nearby rock but also the flames themselves damaged her body severely.

OOC: Yah, Golems can learn Flamethrower via TM. Let's just say that Brock taught it to Golem to counter Grass-Types before morphing? :P
 
" Oh bloody hell... too... much... beer..." Brad groggily thought. He had awoken late, and needed to get to Pewter as fast as he could. His Charizard had broken Mach in the old days... could he?

He flew as fast as he could, and reached Pewter pretty dang fast. Too bad a whole fleet of Flygon sentries were waiting. Brad flew into the crowd, but charged his red Dragon Pulse in both of his hands. The aura surrounded his body, and erupted in a huge BANG!!! A few Flygon fell, and a few others were near incinerated. Then, a bunch of Aerodactyl morphs came, laughed, and smashed Brad with a Rock Slide from behind.
"God darn bastards..." Brad thought. He decided to fall into the wall, as if dead. He heard the morphs laughing. He plunged into the wall, but he was nowhere near his squad. A new sortie arrived with more Rock and Ground types. A Crystal Onix morph, almost as burly as he, shot from the ground. It used Earthquake, but to no avail. Brad took the opportunity, and charged a huge Heat Wave in his mouth. It charged for a while, and then, Brad shot it. The cannon hit the Onix morph, and covered it in heat energy. Brad's Heat Wave was highly concentrated, so it was a lot hotter. The rock of the Onix melted, and Brad grinned as the heat cleared. The arms of the morph were completely gone, and so was a lot of the armor. The morph was dead. Brad was pleased, and continued to walk.

He was almost to Brocks cavern, but as he arrived, the guards shot spikes at Brad, pinning him to the wall. There were a few Cradily and Armaldo morphs- perfect targets for fire. Brad heated the spikes, and used the heat to expand and shoot the spikes. Some of them were impaled. The others were still fighting Brock... and Brad felt an awkward silence...
 
His mind was agitated by his own power. He couldn't help but think, what if I can't control my powers correctly? What if an issue happened in the morphing lab, and I just can't use electricity? His thoughts were cut off by a sting all over his body. A sting like when your foot comes to after falling asleep, but much worse and all over his body.

He looked up, and saw the road.
"What the hell?" he murmured, thinking he came from paralysis by himself. He saw a shadow, however, and turned around. He was startled by the sudden appearance of Jade. He looked at a Paralyze Heal in her hand. He was dumbfounded.

"Did you.. spray that on me?" he asked her suspiciously. Without waiting for a reply, he collasped on the ground, still conscious, staring at the sky.

"Goodness, I hope I hit that Aerodactyl morph." he wondered. At that thought, as if fate had answered him, he smelt a horrible smell. He looked over to see the Aerodactyl morph lying there charred. He had to chuckle, but quickly stopped when he inhaled too fast. His shoulder was still in pain, and bleeding fairly quickly.
 
"What the hell??" the Raichu Morph murmured. He looked stunned at his sudden ability to move and at the appearance of her. He must have been caught up in his own thoughts...

"Did you...spray that on me?" he asked as if she had maybe done something wrong. Before she could answer him, Denx lay back down, staring at the sky; he looked deep in thought.

Jade shrugged, "It was the only solution I could think of..." she looked down at the Paralyze Heal and threw it aside, amongst the rest of the garbage. "Denx, you're bleeding!" she exclaimed, catching sight of the blood on his shoulder. She was beginning to panic; she was no nurse.

"Look," she began, not waiting for him to respond to her worry, "We need to get somewhere safe. You're in no condition to fight." Jade looked around and found one building that hadn't completely toppled over. She opened her phone and sent a message to Clove, I've found Denx and I'm reporting to the only stable building in the perimeter. Trust me, you'll know which one I'm talking about. Call if you need us. She hoped she didn't sound too demanding. She turned back to her teammate.
"Do I need to carry you?"
 
"Do you need me to carry you" Jade had asked him.

"Nah, I can walk," he said confidently. He stood up, stumbled a bit, but managed to stay on his feet. He could walk. He may look like his feet were new to him, but he could walk.

He followed Jade to the building that was still standing, though it still had little damage to it.
 
Recovering from the dangerous Wing Attack, Amy tried to move her hands. It was only a little, but there was some energy, and the shock was going away.

"Amy! Don't move, I'm coming to get you..." Clove had shouted, apparently done with the Rherperior morph. He jumped into the lake, and did his best to swim to her position. Following his orders, she didn't move much. It was best not to, as the pain in her chest where the Aerodactyl wing connected as well as the back, was to the extreme. Her chest was bleeding, as the part of the wing that hit her also had the Aerodactyl morph's claws.

"Ok, I don't actually think I can move that well on my own anyways," Amy murmured.

She hadn't expected such damage to come from an attack such as that. Brock's guards were much more powerful than most people in the team had expected, most likely. Just a simple Wing Attack paralyzed her. Now Amy wondered even more just what troubles the team would have with Brock.
 
"Nah, I can walk," he said confidently. As Denx stood he stumbled as bit and Jade flinched, ready to catch him if she needed. He looked determined and followed her as they headed to the building. She kept her eye on him the entire way and focused on the ground for any kind of movement.

Far off in the distance, a rather odd looking Charizard came into view. His flight patterns were a bit topsy turvy and Jade wondered if maybe he was drunk. Is that the Charizard that's, supposedly, on our team? He's only a TAD late...she frowned as he attacked, what must have been, more of Brock's minions.

Jade observed the building a moment before stepping inside. It looked like an old apartment building; the missing front door led to a lobby with a front desk and an elevator. Or a hotel... she thought to herself. Once inside she continued through, what looked like, an auditorium. Jade decided to stay downstairs so that Denx was grounded and she could still feel if anyone, or anything, was coming.

She didn't remember this building being here when she had gotten her Boulder Badge so many years ago. It must be new, Too bad it's not being used anymore.... She took a seat that faced the only doorway so she'd be on top of anything that decided to attack. Patting the seat next to her for Denx, she took this time to think.

Now that the guards are taken care of, all that's left is Brock himself. Has the sewer crew ambushed him yet? she shivered, feeling like something either had gone wrong or was going to go wrong.

The silence was killing her, "Nice work on that Aerodactyl out there, kid" Jade commented on the char-broiled ancient bird that now took up a large amount of space with his carcass. Before he could say anything, Jade held up a hand to his face, signaling silence. A tremor had run over her feet likes waves; something was close by or coming in their direction.
"We need to hide"
 
"Nice work on that Aerodactyl morph out there, kid," Jade had commented to Denx. He could tell a hint of fatigue in her voice.

"Yeah, than--" his voice stopped as she held up her hand. He knew she had the ability to fell waves in the ground. He figured it was bad. If not, this was a horrible joke.

"We have to hide," she said, more seriousness in her voice than ever. Denx began to worry. He almost spoke, but remained silent, due to Jade's orders.

He felt blind. Jade was able to see-technically-danger when she was on the ground. He hid behind a strangely organized desk, without much cover. He was able to slide underneath it, though, due to his malleable structure his Riachu had left him. He waited there for something to happen.
 
Denx immediately obeyed her orders, hiding behind a desk. He was a stealthy kid and Jade knew that if there was anything he would master, it was not being caught.

She peeked out the window; inspired by Denx's stealth she tried to be sneaky about it. Please don't be any more rock Morphs...PLEASE! she begged. To whom, she wasn't sure. Any higher being that might be listening was good enough for her.

Coming down the street at a fast pace, too fast to be rock types she could tell, were large shadows covered by dust and sand. There's at least one rock type with them... she groaned. The strangers stopped at the Aerodactyl carcass. It was a group of Butterfree and Beedrill Morphs with a Graveler as their guide. They can't be Brock's, she thought, Unless they were all trainers he forced to Morph...I can't do much until I know with whom they side. At that moment, as if on cue, all of the bug Morphs (seven, Jade observed) turned toward the window from which she was peering. Their eyes were red and they buzzed angrily; the Graveler Morph laughed.

So much for being sneaky,she gasped. "Denx, this might not be the best time to ask you, but we have a situation here. A situation that a few Shock Waves might be able to handle," said Jade. The bug types were weak and new to their form, but they were still enemies. "I'll handle the Graveler. You think you can take on some bugs?" she smirked at him, still hidden under the desk.
 
"You think you can take on some bugs?" Jade had asked Denx. He merely nodded, trying not to act hurt, though it was clear. The entourage burst through the door and window, which Jade had been peeking through.

"Dang, I need them to be inside so I don't mess up my Shock Waves!" he remembered. He powered up what he could, and charged his fists. This was one of the few moves he could preload and use instantly. He jumped up, and slammed his fists into the flying morphs.

Thunderpunch!

He blasted both a Beedrill and a Butterfree into the wall.
"Butterfree? Who would wanna be a Butterfree" he taunted.

"This is why!" replied a Butterfree in a surprisingly rogue tone. It shot backward by an invisible force, hitting Denx with considerable force. He reeled backward, but was able to get up. Another force hit him, but not as direct as the first one.

Right afterward, a flurry of needles was shot.
Clove? Denx asked himself hopefully. But instead of knocking the foes to the ground, it hit him. It must've been a Beedrill. He was stuck by a few needles, which stung like crazy. He hid his pain surprisingly well, though, and taunted again.

"What are you doing, giving me splinters?" he said dumbly, as if imitating the Beedrill.

"Aren't you one to talk, you mess?" another reply came. Denx was surprised at how they returned his taunts. HE needed more room.

Quick Attack!

He fled out of the building, hoping that the bugs would follow him and not focus on Jade. Fortunately, it worked. They started to buzz around him, focusing their energy.

Shock Wave

He knelt down, hoping this would ground him. It worked, and he felt nothing giving off the blast of light. It knocked most of the Butterfrees out, with only two remaining. It only knocked out one Beedrill, though.

"Sneaky kid!" one shouted, "how should we take care of him?" he asked to his comrades.

"Make him suffer!" another one shouted

"Kill him instantly!" came another suggestion.

"How about not, and saying you did?" Denx added sarcastically.

"I like the slow death plan the best!" said the leader of the conversation, "rope 'im up!"

At htose words, they shot string out their mouths, directed at Denx. He was covered by sticky, gooey crap.

He fell to the ground with a thud, with the sneers and snickers of the bug morphs, flying around him in a circle.
 
Denx didn't answer her but charged up and sent an electric attack their way. The Bug type were weak against anything he seemed to do and Jade decided not to worry about her teammate too much at the moment. He was taunting and confident; or at least he acted in these ways. She knew he was in pain.

The Graveler Morph smirked and charged toward Jade, Better get this over with, she smirked back.
She fired an excellent Dark Pulse square to his forehead. The Morph flew back and crashed into a wall. Denx was no longer in the building anymore. She ran through the window that the bug Morphs had broken through to get outside. The Raichu Morph was taking on a lot at once but she had no time to think about it as a large rock came flying her way. At any other time, Jade might have moved quick enough to avoid such a clumsy attempt at a Rock Throw; this one hit her straight in the face.

She fell back, tasting blood in her mouth. "Why aren't you dead yet?" she asked the Graveler Morph. Stomping on the ground, she sent him up into the air and without a moment's hesitation she fired another Dark Pulse, pushing him with great intensity into another building made of stone and crushing his skull. The Graveler Morph wasn't like the others; the human did not gain much armor and therefore died quicker than expected.

Now where'd that Raichu friend of mine get to? Jade's question was answered by the struggling figure ten yards away. The bug Pokemon were tying him up with their string shots. She ran as fast as she could, her forehead pounding with pain from the rock.

Rock Slide
She knocked some of them out of the way to get to her teammate. Jade knelt down and bite the constrictions off with her sharp canines. "You gotta stop getting yourself in trouble, kid. Now help me finish these bastards off, ok?" she asked rather than ordered, her hands glowing purple. Earthquake wasn't going to work here.
 
Clove pushed through the water, heaving and puffing as he swam exhausted from the stress of swimming. His chest screamed in pain every time he breathed in and his muscles felt like they were being torn apart with every stroke. He finally reached Amy's body which floated calmly in the lake, she was bleeding and it didn't look good for her. He slowly turned, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her behind him as he pushed the water behind him once more, heading towards the shore. The added weight wasn't helping his physical condition in any way.

Upon setting foot on solid ground, he immediately supported himself, wading through the water to the shore. Finally being able to walk, he slowly dragged his feet back to town, leaning Amy on his shoulder. The weight and strain of the mission was finally too much on him. He reached visibility of Jade before collapsing on the ground, unable to hold anyone's weight anymore. He rolled onto his back, looking apologetically at the injured Amy as if saying "Sorry for the fall"

Looking up to the sky, he grimaced in pain as he spread his arms above his head, letting them drop with a thud to the ground. He reached into his pocket once more, pulling out his PLF issued phone and flipped it open, speaking weakly into it.

"Ya...This is Clove. No sir, my agents are engaging the target as we speak. Yes sir. Yes sir. Understood sir. Yes I'm aware the mission is taking longer than the target time. Yes sir. I Understand. And one more thing... Sir? Can you send a medics? I think the others need some help..." Clove ended the pathetic conversation with PLF without closing the phone and letting it drop to the ground. He was slowly slipping in and out of consciousness.

The commander could still be heard talking into the phone barking orders but Clove didn't care. He was in incredible pain. His eyes weakly scanned his body's external condition. His hands were burnt and charred with cuts along his forearms. His chest was slightly visible with many cuts and bruises and his black dress shirt which had started out so well kept had obviously suffered dozens puncture holes from Clove extending his spikes. The holes were accompanied by various cuts and tears from battle, the shirt scarcely resembled rags at this point.

"...I'm gonna need a new shirt..." Clove managed to weakly let scrape from his mouth as he slipped into unconsciousness.
 
The relief guards stationed outside the Pewter City Gym- more accurately, the Pewter city fortress- were few and far between. The majority of the guards were currently helping to respond to a threat within the building and so only two, one a large, buly man who just happened to have a pair of gossamer Butterfree wings adorning his back and the other a rock-studded teenager who had combined himself with a Graveler, were standing watch at the back gate. This in itself was a recipe for disaster if the rebels showed up en masse, but it couldn't be helped, really. The fortress-like gym could only accomodate so many people at one time, and it just so happened that many of the other morphs under Brock's command were out on a supply run in Cerulean. The guards didn't care. They had confidence in their leader's ability to deal with any situation. He was Brock, after all. Those rebels, no matter how powerful they were, had to be lightyears away from facing Brock, as the gravel-teen pointed out. (Butterfree-man thought about interjecting that lightyears measured distance, not time, but kept it to himself.) No, Brock was the great, invincible rock! And from the noises coming from within, it sounded like the rebels were already giving out. Soon, all of them would be defeated, the two reasoned.

The first thing they noticed about the newcomer was his bluntness. Most people bowed respectfully or shrank back in fear when confronted with one of Brock's henchmen (occasionally for Butterfree-man they had dissolved into laughter, but a quick beating usually ensured that they never did so again). This boy walked calmly up to the back gate, as if he'd been doing it for years, and lifted his camera. And what a camera! It looked as if he'd fished it out of an antique store somewhere. Before either guard could protest, the boy had snapped a shot and the flash nearly blinded them. When the two stopped rubbing their eyes, the boy was standing in front of them. In fact, he was almost directly in their faces. Leaning forward and drawing himself up to his full height, which while unimpressive was quite enough to cause discomfort to both guards, the boy impudently asked "May I come in?"

The guards looked at each other before bursting out laughing. The boy waited impatiently, tapping his foot against the ground, before one of the two finally recovered and returned his attentions to the inquisitive youth. "'May I come in?' Oh, that's rich. Real rich. Leader Brock doesn't let anyone in without an appointment, and if he did you'd be going through the front door. Listen, why don't you go home and play with your kid brothers? You know, do something useful. 'May I come in?' Who taught you that? Your Momma?" the Butterfree-man jeered, leaning his purple face as close as he could to the younger boy's, intending to disgust the kid with his alcohol-laden breath. To his surprise, the boy barely flinched.

Gravel-teen spoke up with enthusiasm. "Yeah, Piss off, kid. Brock's taking care of a few minor difficulties right now, so you should really just go home. You're lightyears away from speaking to him anyway."

The boy took this mixed abuse without so much as a blink. He stood there, staring at the two thugs for a moment, before shaking himself as if waking from a dream and moving closer to Butterfree-man. "You, sir, need to stop drinking cheap whiskey," he announced. "That was the absolute worst licquor I've ever smelled on anyone's breath. And believe me, I've smelled a lot of alchohol in my time. And yes, my mother did teach me how to ask for things nicely. Your mother, apparently, didn't teach you anything. Just look at you, you're a giant bug-man who probably lost most of his extremities. Honestly, you're the most idiotic thing I've seen since I started lowering myself to associate with backwater thugs like yourself. Are you sure that you're a guy? Because with the whole Butterfree thing I really can't tell whether that's what you started out as or whether the Pokemon that they stuck you together with was," Before the man could respond, Gravel-teen was feeling the whiplash of the boy's tongue. "And another thing- you should go on a diet. I can't take anyone who can't see their own feet seriously in a combat situation." It was true- the Gravel-teen did have a large stomach, though this was owed to his nature as a half-graveler and not so much his dietary habits. Nonetheless, the remarks stung.

Both thugs sat stunned for a moment, shocked and stupefied by this outburst. Then they both charged simultaneously. "GET HIM!"

A smile crept across the boy's face as he leaped back, avoiding their attacks. "Suit yourself..." he taunted, as a long, white tail suddenly snaked its way out into the open from beneath his jacket where it had remained hidden before. Both Butterfree-man and Gravel-teen knew what this latest development's significance was, however both were too angry to consider all of its implications. And this was their downfall.

Butterfree-man was the first to attack, launching himself unsteadily into the air while shouting "He's Mine!" to his younger partner. With two flaps of his tremendous wings, the purple terror stirred up a small windstorm which was sent flying at the offending boy. Still grinning, the boy dodged nimbly to the side before positioning his tail so that its paint-covered tip was next to his fingers. Dabbing his fingers on the tail's tip, the boy raised them to his mouth and inhaled. The Butterfree pulled his head back too, preparing to fire a string shot directly at his target. With a smirk of glee he spat a rope of thick, gooey silk directly at his opponent. Just as the attack was about to connect, however, the boy exhaled. As the air from his mouth contacted the paint on his fingers it ignited, the resulting stream of flame completely charring the silk and severely burning the aerial thug. "Looks like I clipped your wings, pretty-boy," the boy taunted his gasping foe before he began coughing uncontrollably. "Dang... I've got to remember not to inhale after I launch.." he wheezed. It was in this moment of vulnerability that Gravel-teen attacked. He curled himself into a ball, rolled forward, and flattened the obnoxious boy with his superior weight before walking back, laughing, and jumping on him until his innards splattered the ground.

At least, that was what he meant to do. When he tried, however, his legs seemed to fail him and his arms began to stiffen. His body felt as if it was turning to stone, and he dimly realized that he could no longer feel his various appendages. "Wh-what-" he gasped as his jaw muscles became constricted.

As the boy recovered from his coughing fit, he turned to the oversized thug. "You and your buddy should have payed more attention when I moved up close. You would have noticed the dust I was spreading in the air around you. Stun spore my friend, stun spore. Of course, you were probably still a little woozy from my flash bulb. I know, that's why I picked a camera with a flash this bright." Gravel-teen dimly remembered seeing a cloud of orange spots as the boy moved up, but he had assumed it was afterimage from the flash. "Kind of surprised it took so long to work on you, but I guess you had to actually get it worked into your muscles before the paralysis effect kicked in," the boy commented. "Well, anyway, happy landings!" Before the Gravel-Teen could react, the boy had pushed him over and given him a kick that sent him rolling a few feet away. The boy bent down to his ear and softly whispered "Just for the record? Lightyears is distance, not time. You should really have stayed in school."

Gravel-Teen moaned in pain.

Motioning towards the bushes, the boy called "You can come out now."

A team of medical operatives stepped from the protective foliage and stood at attention, as if looking to the boy for orders. "Thanks for the help, Travis," one of them said apologetically, "And thank you for volunteering to head up the relief team on such short notice."

Travis waved off the praise. "Oh come on, like you guys wouldn't have done the same. Besides, it's gonna be fun rubbing it in Clove's face that he owes me one. Let's go in already, before the next pair of guards reports."

One of the medical ops spoke up. "Where should we go first?"

Travis considered this statement for a moment before pointing towards a clearing, not far away, where a group of guards had been stationed earlier. "I'll check for Clove up there," he explained, "And you guys can split up and search around. You meet any trouble you can't deal with, radio for backup and I'll come running. Don't fight if you don't have to, we're a support crew not the main fighting force. Right team, move out!" With this last order, the group split up, a few combing the outside of the gym, and the remainder heading inside.

Travis dashed towards the clearing, running straight towards what appeared to be a collapsed cactus wearing a green hat. "Clove," he muttered, before kneeling down beside the fallen Cacturne and removing a small, diamond-shaped object from one of his many pockets. Twisting it, he popped off the top to reveal a small quantity of purple liquid. Gingerly, he reached down and forced open the Cacturne's mouth. "Drink up, it's good for you," he muttered as he poured the contents of the vial down Clove's throat. "Now get up, because I have a couple of questions that need answering..."

OOC: Sorry if I messed anything up, I haven't gone through the RP to see everything that's happened leading up to the assault yet so I may have missed something. Plus I'm unclear about where everyone is. 0.o

"You gotta stop getting yourself in trouble, kid. Now help me finish these bastards off, ok?" Jade had scolded Denx.

"Don't worry, I had this all planned out!" he said, smiling. He grabbed a few of the strings, still connected to the flying brigade of Butterflies and Bees.

Shock Wave!

He slapped his tail to the ground before releasing a high voltage blast. The pulse was sent through him like normal, but instead, the recoil was sent back into the ground. As for the remainder fo the attack, it was sent in all different directions, any direction that the strings allowed. Luckily for Denx, all of them were still connected.

CCRRZZZAAACCKKK! The pulse of energy snapped, and fried each and every remaining bug-man to a crisp. They fell to the ground, with many thuds. That certainly put an end to their endless bicker. He sighed a sigh of relief. All gone.

"I wanted them to put me in those strings like that. I knew they were inexperienced, so I also knew that they still knew String Shot!" he said to Jade, smiling. Instead of being happy that he was victorious, he was happy that he was able to ground himself during the attack.

"Thanks for the help, though!" he said to her. He looked at the ground where his tail had made contact, and the concrete was cracked, like an anvil had dropped on that spot.

A small vibration was felt in his pocket. He slipped out the phone (which was still in perfect shape, surprisingly!) and read a message.

Two members have arrived for back-up: Omega, whom you may be familiar with, and another one, a Smeargle morph known as Travis. Good Luck.

Omega. Who was that. The message said that he may be familiar.. Was it that Charizard morph? He didn't care at the moment. He was more hungry than usual. All of the electricity he used was burning him up. He reached for his unfinished Paras mushroom.
 
"Don't worry, I had this all planned out!" he said, smiling. He grabbed what remained of the string shot that was still connected to the bug Morphs. A metaphorical mechanism seemed to click in Jade's head and she knew what was going to happen next. Slapping his tail to the ground, Denx let out a powerful Shock Wave attack and the bugs were burst. The smell was overwhelming but her teammate didn't seem to take notice as he admired his work. She, too, smiled in spite of the stench of fried bug Morphs; it was good to see his confidence boost.

"I wanted them to put me in those strings like that. I knew they were inexperienced, so I also knew that they still knew String Shot!" he said to Jade, still smiling. She nodded, holding as much pride in him as he was.

"Thanks for the help, though!" Denx said to her. The place where his tail had made contact left a large crack in the concrete; Jade stared wide eyed at it momentarily.

"No problem, kid" she continued smiling, her teeth glinting.
Her phone, located in the only pocket her outfit had, began buzzing the same time Denx's did.

Omega? The Charizard? she did not have a good feeling about him. And a Smeargle? This should be interesting...

"We should probably head toward the lake, get back together with the rest of our team, you know?" she suggested, now that it seemed back up had arrived. The orders to protect Denx would still be followed but she had a feeling that Clove might need some help after rescuing Amy, which she only assumed he had already done; Clove didn't seem like the kind of guy to hesitate when it came to his allies.

A swift breeze began to blow and the air smelled of opportunity. Sure, they hadn't finished the mission smoothly, or at all yet, but this was their first job as a team. They barely knew each other; personalities, strengths, weaknesses, it was all a mystery. If everything went smoothly all the time, life would have that extra spice that a lot of us thrive on,Jade thought. Hopefully they'd get the chance to sit down and get to know each other; as people and as Morphs.

With those thoughts in mind, Jade motioned to Denx and began walking toward the lake, staying as sneaky as she possibly could.
 
Quickly jumping to attention, Mandi stood up, best as she could. Dusting off her dress-like clothing, she looked around to see the damage that had been done while she was knocked down.

"Alice is burned right now, Reid and Victor are...still not up yet?! Brock's even been able to place up Stealth Rock. I'll focus on getting Alice away from Brock first."

At the moment, Brock was savoring his victory, thinking he had already beaten down the competition. Mandi, continued to hide, until the last moment to take hold of Alice. She intended to let Brock get as close to Alice as possible, then teleport over, and away, so that they would have some breathing room to attack. Watching closely, Mandi could see each of Brock's step gently shake the ground. It was like aftershocks from a regular earthquake, only affecting those in the vicinity of Brock.

"You had a well thought out plan, you could make a powerful leader someday, If I allow you to live that is!"

Mandi could see Brock charging up another Flamethrower attack, knowing that Stealth Rock was in play, making her escape plan even harder to put into action. She knew she had to do something though, if she didn't Alice would die, and that would compromise the promise Victor made to Clove, moreover, she made a promise to herself that, if she could save someone, she would do anything in her power to.

"I was told that there were eight of you rats, I suppose most of them were killed off already! Hahaha, I can't believe the PLF is desperate enough to send inexperienced children to fight against the league?!"

As Brock finished off his speech, he released the Flamethrower he had built up for the past few minutes.

"Flamethrower!"

"Teleport!"

Countering Brock's Flamethrower at the last moment teleporting in, although, her plan did not come as smoothly as she hoped, as a piece of Stealth Rock came in, being too fast for Mandi to see, it was able to damage her left arm substantially. Enduring the pain, Mandi placed a hand on Alice's arm quickly, teleporting once again, a safe distance from Brock.

"Gah, that was close, if I came in a second later, we might not of made it out of there."

As her arm finally reacted to the Stealth Rock attack, she felt blood, or at least, some type of liquid starting to spill from her arm.

"Damn, where are Reid and Victor? They should of been up here attacking a long time ago, they better get up here soon, or else I will chew them out later. Ugh, if only Amy was here, she could heal us with Wish."

Grunting out in pain, Mandi looked up at where she had left Brock. She saw him still there, starting to move, but at an abnormally slow pace. Perhaps, this was because he charged up his attacks too much. Mandi looked around, trying to assess the situation.

"Alright, Alice won't be able to move for a little bit, and if Victor and Reid can get here in time we could distract him until the others get here."

Feeling her arm twitch again, she grunted out in pain, as the blood started to gush out now.

"Now is not the time to feel worried for myself, I need to hold out as best I can."

Teleporting closer to Brock, she stood there, waiting for him to come closer, she wanted to sway him away from Alice, so she could have some time to recover from her burns.

"I don't know how well I'll be able to do, especially since, I'm an inexperienced Pokemorph who can't use her left arm, against a gym leader who has been in much worse situations then this one, and has barely, if any at all, injuries.All I have to do is distract him, no problem...I hope."

Standing tall, Mandi faced Brock head on, ready to avoid as best as she could.

Clove saw visuals of many things dancing through his head. The injured faces of his team mates, the worried looks of the civilians, and most of all, his love, Erika. Prominent in front of his eyes. He wanted to save her, but how.... His thoughts were interrupted by a sudden jerking from his train of thought. His eyes shot open as he coughed and sputtered on the ground, he looked around, dazed for a moment, the instantly sat up straight but was forced down by a sharp stabbing pain in his ribs. He lay on the ground, gritting his teeth. He looked around for the cause of his sudden revival, then his eyes finally drifted to the side of his head noticing the figure at his side. A face he definitely didn't need to see right now.

"....Travis...I see the commander sent you..." He said with a slightly aggravated tone in his voice.

"Now get up, because I have a couple of questions that need answering..." Travis said softly.

Clove sat up slowly, propping himself on his arm and looking Travis in the face. At least the PLF had sent someone competent.

"Heres the situation... my team consists of 8 people, their information is on your PLF phone...3 were with me and we were to handle the elite guard while the other 4 snuck into Brock's gym via the sewer line and fight simultaneously, so the other force is inside fighting Brock. The guard was a lot stronger than we anticipated but they've been taken care of..." He said, motioning to the charred Aerodactyl and the now limp pile of rocks that was the Rhyperior morph.

"As for the condition of the guard strike team... Amy, our Vaporeon morph, needs medical attention, i haven't heard from the other two yet. Everything is a complete mess..." Clove said, scolding himself with his tone of voice. He grunted in pain a bit as he pulled his feet beneath him and stood straight up, looking at the sky and trying to subside the pain enough to fight again, he wasn't going to let the other team fight alone. Not if he had an ounce of strength left in him. Clove was definitely stubborn, not one of his best qualities. He slowly began to limp towards Brock's gym, holding his side, ready to fight to the last of his strength.
