While I was chaining a Bagon in Pokémon Platinum, after defeating a Bagon that would be the 17º on the chain, the chain just got to 0 and the grass didn't shake (like if I would find another Pokémon not Bagon). And after that, it began to happen in all of my chains. Right now I was chaining Electrikes, and when it would reach five the chain stopped. Also happens that I am walking inside the grass to reset the PokéRadar or just go to a patch of grass and suddenly the chain disappears and the music of the route plays (and I'm walking in the grass). Is it a Save Glitch?

I don't really follow you. A Save Glitch? As in a problem with the game's memory or something? No, there's nothing wrong with your game, as far as I know. I believe i saw somebody say that some chains spontaneously break. It's happened to me several times, it just.. Happens. There's nothing wrong with the game, it's just something that happens sometimes. It won't happen everytime you chain.

I chain everyday and i've had a handfull of spontanious breaks but i think again uts alll down to luck. When in the middle of a chain though though don't save and turn the game off. When i've done this i've turned it back on an hour later and my chain would be 0 again. So if you are in the middle of a chain just close the DS After you go on to your next pokemon in the chain and stick it in the charger or something. It's a lot safer that way.Speaking from experiance it's also not a good idea to chain when you're sleepy, You end up missing where your next spot is xD And try go to the shakey grass furthest away from you (all deoends) but usually you shouldn't encounter any problems that way. Hope we've helpped some bit :)

I wouldn't mind that much if the chain spontaniously broke down once, but it happens ALL the times in ALL locations with ALL Pokémon.

I wanted to record a video, but I didn't find a nice program to record from Webcam.

Well, I first go into a vast grass, not to the tiny ones and activate a Max Repel. Then, I start the radar. Recently I've been chasing around Bagons, so I go to the shiny patches for the Bagons. Then, I defeat the Bagon and see what the Radar detects on the grass. If it identifies a shiny patch within 4 squares or more, I go to the patch. If not, I just walk 50 steps and try again. For the first times it was good, I had several chain breaking by other Pokémon, but just the normal. Then, yesterday, while I was chaining Bagons, I was defeating the Bagon that would be the 17th on my chain. When the battle was over and I was back in the route, the grass didn't shake, the chain in the Pokétch was gone and the route background music was playing. And that continued to happen with Machops, Swablus, etc, mainly in every chain I tried next, even today. Also, since then, sometimes I am walking in the grass waiting for the Radar to reset and the chain suddenly breaks, like for no reason.
I do not exit the grass area, never go to patches within less than 4 squares and that don't match the original and never go to patches on the corners. Just started to happen with that chain of Bagons. I can't think of it as being bad luck, it would be too much of coincidence, there must be a problem somewhere.

Hmmm this is very odd.... Search Google. But is your poke Radar your registered item? Also when you say shiny patch you don't mean the actual sparkles right?
I searched Google, no answers found. Yes, the radar is my registered item, and the shiny patch I mean the sparkles.

If someone can point me a webcam video recorder program I will record a video showing what's happening.

I would think you are probably leaving the area you originally were chaining at, like once you start the pokeradar going on a patch of grass you are limited to about 10 squares up and across (just an estimation), if you leave that area your chain will stop, so always keep in the same patch of grass, even when the patch furthest away is in a different patch of grass, just reset.

Check the Pokeradar guide in the stickied FAQ for more detailed instructions.

But why would you go into a shiny patch and defeat the bagon?? a shiny patch means the patch that the shiny is in. Also try again without poke radar as your registered item
No, no, I mean the shiny patch is the sparkling one, where rare Pokémon appear, not the patch where Shiny Pokémon appear. And the Radar is actually my registered item.

I would advise that you heed Gibbo's coment. If the shaking patches fall off-screen when you are recharging the PokeRadar, your chain will break, which is likely what you have been experiencing when recharging your Radar. Make a mental note of where the patches are, or when recharging only move between a couple of spaces to recharge.

But anyway, I would advise following the help detailed in the FAQ post for PokeRadar Chaining. Should you continue to have problems, please post your query in the Quick Questions & Answers thread, rather than creating a new thread.

    Closes~
