1 across: SynchroMachine?
3 across: MegaAbomasnow?
4 across: MysteryGift?

Thinking/writing aloud. Might help others figure something out.

  • 1 across: Not Mamoswine. Trudges through snowy areas for you in X/Y. Probably not a Pokemon period.
  • 2 down: Some really long word or phrase. Thought of Delibird and Iron Bundle first. Where else you get prizes and general stuff? Not the Cram-o-matic. Not the (Grand) Underground
  • 3 across: Something to do with Abomasnow, the Frost Tree Pokemon? Not Abomasite. Guessed Mega Abomasnow, mainly for fitting than anything. Thought along the line of ornaments and evergreen trees too.
  • 5 down: I _ _ _ _ _ _, assuming MysteryGift to be right. Not Slippery Slope (Crown Tundra), Snowslide Slope (Crown Tundra), or Snow Slope Run (Paldea). Probably not Icy Cave (a Grand Underground area), due to no ice tiles.
  • 6 across: _ _ _ _ _ C _ _ _. Not a gym leader (Grusha, Wulfric, Pryce, Candice) or Elite Four member (Lorelei, Glacia). Cannot fit any Ice-types there either.
  • 8 across: Not Spotlight or Follow Me.

You're halfway there! It's not SynchroMachine, but Mystery Gift and Ice Path are both correct. You are also not far off with MegaAbomasnow.

To your thoughts aloud...

On number 1. Mamoswine is a good a guess, maybe a better answer than the real one. But yes, you put your finger on it when you thought it might not be a pokemon this time.

Number 2... yes, it does absolutely have to do with one of those two pokemon. So you're warm.

5 You nailed it with Ice path.

For 3, it is related to this line of pokemon, so you're getting on track.

6 Will confirm that it does not refer to a gym leader or Elite Four member.

8. And that's right, not Spot Light or Follow Me this time. Let's just say it captures the attention of pokemon in a different kind of way.

You're doing overall good detective work, and I think you will crack this puzzle.

6 across: Snowscape (Got thrown off by time instead of turn. Remembered Aurora Veil first, mostly because of Pokemon rarely using Snowscape for snow.)

Excellent work! You hit the nail on the head 3 out of 4 times. Going to update this puzzle showing the several answers you got right. Just 2 more to go an my puzzle shall be complete!
