Poll of the Week?

Whatever happened to Poll of the Week/Month or whatever in OVP? Did it just die or get discontinued? Are there any plans to bring it back? I quite liked it!

If memory serves, it had too few people voting to the point where every poll got like, 1 vote each, and it was just getting kinda dead and pointless since no-one was really involved. ):

I think they retired it due to the polls not getting enough participation if memory serves right.

Well it's funny you should mention that! Sammi and I spoke about it recently after a few people asked us this very question and we've decided to give it another try, but we'll work on a way to do it differently somehow to encourage voting activity.

It's just a matter of figuring out how, which requires us both to be online at the same time. So it will be back at some point in hopefully the near future, we just have to find time to sit down and discuss it :)

Neither of us intended PotW to go away forever. It just feels that way because we gave it time and then brought it up in chat and then was like "we'll do it later" and it's been like this for months/a year/whatever (I think it's been a year now?).

We're going to start the process of getting the rules up and giving a week for new polls to be made. The rules thread should be up Tuesday/Wednesday. :D
