Possible errors/faults in the anime.

-PIKACHU, AIM FOR THE HORN!
-Staravia using Gust
-Mamoswine in the opening
-Aerial Submission...seriously, wtf is that. :\
-Venustoise
-Charmander and Squirtle's Skull Bash

those are off the top of my head :\

May checks her Pokedex to see what Torchic evolves into and even though she didn't say anything, the Pokedex knew what Pokemon she was looking for.
It's psychic, deal with it. XP

In Duels of the Jungle, the one with the Manyura, Manyura was able to pummel Eipamu with a Shadow Ball. And if any of you are reading this and you're thinking "duuuuhh, wut? lol", I suggest you read up on types. Mm'kay? ^^

Also in Duels of the Jungle, Manyura's Speed Star attack missed Eipamu. Impossible!

Oh, and in another episode, the one where Musashi captures Habunake, Nyaasu and Kojiro call Mega Kick, Megaton Kick. That Japanese name for Mega Kick. Note how they called rice balls rice balls for a change. I think 4Kids was going on a Japanese spree. XD

There are way more than this, and most of them involve the simple fact that the anime =/= the game. The anime's mechanics are way different from the game. Hence how Pikachuu can hit Ground-types with its electrical attacks. Though this new feature of Pikachuu has disappeared to the delight of many Pikachuu haters, such as me. Some more of the severe ones are just from the stupidity of the dubbers, namely 4Kids.

In Pokémon The First Movie, when Team Rocket were on New Island, the called an image of Scyther "Alakazam".
Yeah, the director from 4Kids said it was caught and purposely left in to make Team Rocket look stupid (as much as I doubt it was caught). Which completely contradicts the fact that James actually does know a decent amount about Pokémon (more than most other people in the show); he just gets dragged down by Jessie, his Pokémon's quirks, his gullibility, and his/Team Rocket's horrible chew toy luck.
This

Using False Swipe to finish someone off is just a no-no.
He lost for a reason, didn't he? Seems 4Kids wanted to include more new attacks in the anime, but only looked at their names (though what kind of effect did they think False Swipe have?).
Oh yeah, Arbok evolving into Seviper is hilarious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ry3riB4jh8&fmt=18 but I remember when I just got back into Pokemon and I must've watched that episode, I believed Seviper evolved into Arbok and presumed Jessie's had evolved XD
I cried. I seriously almost started crying at that. Why did someone have to show me that? But this would be after 4Kids had the reins yanked from them, isn't it? Isn't Nintendo themselves doing the anime at this point? How did they mess that up?

MAX POWER! What? Is Ash Homer Simpson now?

No, that was 4Kids. They messed up a lot of Trainer's Choices apparently, which was pretty bad since they had been dubbing the show for about 7/8 years by then.

At least they didn't mess up too many 'Who's That Pokémon?'.

Although I still wanted them to do that Voltorb/Electrode/Jigglypuff seen from above one that was in that trainer school episode.
I'm not a very big fan of the anime, but I did notice something that irked me to death...

Team Rocket's Origin story keeps getting changed, in like each series, I have no evidence to prove it, but I do know it's true..
The only conflicting thing that I can recall is the bike gang. Otherwise it's just simply been additions to their origin.

The movie wasn't dubbed that well so it seems to be able to carry some truth.

It's a little strange sometimes...
They know each other since Pokemon Tech (as we know since this early episode...have forgotten which one). But in Training Daze from Pokemon chonicles they acted as if they would meet for the first time (although some fans think it's because they had a fight which is why they parted after thebike gang, so they act strange there).

The "known each other from Pokémon Tech" sounds like something added in the dub (much like Brock's mother "contradictions"). Though, not knowing the exact episodes, I can't look it up to be sure.

the anime shows dunsparce as smaller than a pidgey, when it's actually only a foot and four inches shorter than me

*Ignore it, I thought you meant something else*

There was a thing in Gymbaliar, where Jessie ordered Croagunk to use Brick Break, but the hand was purple *Or vice-versa, with Poison Jab and the white hand*

During Caterpie's battle with Pidgeotto in Ash Catches a Pokémon!, Ash tells Caterpie to use Counter; however, Caterpie cannot learn Counter, yet this doesn't stop it from attempting (and failing) to use it anyway.

In Ditto's Mysterious Mansion, Duplica tells her Ditto to use Constrict on Ash's Bulbasaur after Transforming into said Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur cannot learn Constrict by any means. However, Ditto obeyed, implying that Ash's Bulbasaur may know Constrict.

In Who Gets to Keep Togepi?, Misty gets stuck with Psyduck in her battle with Ash. Ash doesn't battle seriously and has Bulbasaur simply lick Psyduck's head and tickle it with its vines. This is not to be confused with the actual moves Lick and Tickle, the latter of which was later introduced in Generation III. Bulbasaur still cannot learn Lick or Tickle. It is worth noting, however, that Ash's specific words were "Use Tickle!".

In Bound for Trouble, Pikachu and Meowth fight against the giant Rhydon. When Meowth jumps on Rhydon's back, he states that he should try a Tickle attack, and then acts like he would. However, Meowth cannot learn Tickle in any generation yet, and as mentioned with Bulbasaur, Tickle was not introduced until Generation III.

In Playing with Fire!, a Steelix uses Wrap. Steelix cannot learn Wrap, but it can learn Bind (a slightly less accurate version of Wrap with the same effect).

In Winner By a Nosepass!, Roxanne commands her Nosepass to use Hyper Beam which it cannot in the game. However in the dub these errors were picked up on, and the references to Hyper Beam were replaced with Thunder Wave and Zap Cannon (which can be learned by Nosepass).

In Second Time's the Charm, Anabel's Espeon uses Zap Cannon, which, though impossible to have in Generation III or IV, was available to teach to Espeon by TM07 in Generation II.

In Drifloon on the Wind!, some Drifloon were used to fly around the area. However, they did not use the actual move Fly (which is just as well, as they are unable to learn said move). The Pokédex specifically states that Drifloon can't carry the weight of children anyway. It is, however, able to carry players across short distances in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia.

A group of Combee in An Angry Combee-nation! appear to be using Psybeam; however, this is actually the anime representation of Vespiquen's Attack Order.

In Journey to the Unown!, the fact that Bronzor cannot learn Teleport was also picked up by the producers of the dub, and the appearance of it using Teleport was cut from the episode.

Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu! (Part 1) and Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu! (Part 2) feature a Riolu that can use Aura Sphere. This is due to its unique ability to manipulate aura prior to evolution. This episode is directly based on a mission from Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia featuring a similar Riolu. This is the only way a Riolu that knows Aura Sphere is available in the games.

I can think of a few.

Ash's Dad: People say that it is Giovanni for some reason, (Probably due to that live-action play), but we never see him. Sure, not showing him in the anime at all adds SOME mystery, but 11 friggin' seasons is way too long to keep him shrouded.
Why does his father need to appear at all?

Adding Dawn: Ok. Nintendo's gone overboard when they created...this fashion disaster. Honestly, she dresses like a retarded slut; She wears a short sleeved shirt, a miniskirt, huge snow boots, a scarf, and a ski cap. Something's wrong with that picture.
This is more of a game design complaint.

Second: The contests...oh god. People say she's a better coordinator than May because she beat May's most inexperienced pokemon *and newest* with her oldest and most experienced pokemon. What kind of strategy is spamming Whirlpools? Anyway, how is Dawn the better coordinator if she failed like 14 Appeal rounds? May hasn't failed one.
I don't see an error here. I just see a Haruka fan complaining about a plot device.
Third: Her attitude. She's always striving to be like Ash (We do NOT need another one of those.), and she gets depressed over nothing.
<snipped>
I don't see how this an error made by the show in the sense of mistakes from the games.

These aren't mistakes or faults. They're just complaints about Hikari.

Ok, I honestly cannot write anymore. >.< I type too much.

Hmmm...I could be wrong here, but your post looked a lot like the "pearshipping" page on Bulbapedia...And anyway, Warped Reflection's right; those are complaints/opinions, not what happened wrong on the show. Well, I guess what happened wrong could be a opinion...

*That was before I noticed what the thread title meant*

Sorry. *shrinks away*

In The Case of the K-9 Caper, when Jessie from Team Rocket changes into the Ash costume to try to fool Pikachu, she comes back and says "Pikachu" under Ash's voice, yet in the next scene, she turns the dial to Ash on her voice changer.
