4th Gen Potential line-up?

I don't usually go with one man teams, but that is just me. Since Typhlosion is such a powerful starter, I think I might end up keeping it at its second stage just for the extra challenge when I play the game.
 
I only really used Typhlosion, Togetic and Ampharos. Typhlosion would have strength and togetic would have fly. The rest are HM users.

Feraligatr got me through Gold and Crystal, so it should be able to do the same in HeartGold
 
My team'll be Typhlosion, Victreebel, Poliwrath, Magneton(zone?), Sudowoodo, and Noctowl.

If I get both versions, all I know for sure is that my other team will have Feraligatr and Aipom/Ambipom.
 
Well I kinda have more then one team in mind. I am going to get both and my main, witch will be the girl, and the other will be my non-main, witch will be the boy. I want my main to have all starters and my non-main only have one. So pretty much the team(s) in my main will be pretty easy while my team in my non-main would be a little bit harder to choose. Here it goes:

It all really comes down to which team would be better against the Elite Four. Also if you have noticed all my teams are based only on the 2nd Generation. Now it is probably a given, but if there is pokémon from the 1st Generation then my choice of teams would even grow more! *Sigh* Choices, choices.

I'm gonna start with a Feraligatr as usual, and catch a Growlithe and Mareep early on. Probably get a Pidgey too. I also want a Fighting type (Heracross) and maybe even Aipom?
 
Well as you can see i love Fire Types so i'll go with Cyndaquil.
 
I'm obviously starting with Cyndaquil.

I'll try to make all my Pokemon all natives of Johto. I forgot which Pokemon are available early on, so I'll decide on the rest of the team once I know they're availabilities.

you and me both, my starter will be Cyndaquil but the rest I dunno

if the GTS is integrated into the game, then I will trade for all starters. I guess I will use:
