So if JA and Sarah are going to play it that way then I guess I can just add as many votes to me as I want. What? It never said I couldn't do that in the rules, so what is the problem?
They described "How it will work" if you remember. Meaning that if you do something that they haven't stated in that section, it is against the rules.

~Vote for Brittany, the only reason we even had the election... XD

So what you are saying is that JA and Sarah's scheme is against the rules? I'm confused now.

How it'll work
After 10 days from today, application acception will be done. A list will be compiled from the applicants, and a thread will be posted in either Announcements or Other Chat and members will reply with their top 4 choices from the list. The top 10 of canidates from the "Primaries" will then be announced, and campaigning can begin.

Members will have until election day to campaign, and on that date a poll will be posted and each member will be able to vote for their top choice for PC President. The winner of that poll will be declared the PC President and will be awarded their prizes. Ditto with the Vice President.

Any questions about this can be posted in this thread or PMed to either JKaizer or Lightning, the two people heading this.

That's how it works. But if they say it's okay, I'm hoping FG will run with me, lol.

We already went through this. It wouldn't be fair, because what if the President got modded the month after? We should think of this from all perspectives, anyways, vote for me.

Yes it would be fair. The moderators already have a title. At the beginning everyone was saying this was how a normal member would get a title. Now if the president or vice-president gets modded after, well they can't help that and plus they would have gotten to be president by being just a normal member, without a title and they would get one. If they got modded AFTER the election doesn't matter because it is after the election.

Presidency has NOTHING to do with modness.

If a moderator becomes president, they lose their moderator title and username colour, and it is replaced by the presidential one. They're still a moderator but they don't have the same colour as other mods. People looking at them will see "President" instead of "Moderator".

There is nothing about giving preferences in the rules, it doesn't say you are not allowed to, it is a normal part of all real life elections (I've been following the current campaigns; I know) and if you don't like the preferences deal Sarah and I have, then you may set up your own preferences deal. Stop complaining.

There is nothing about giving preferences in 'How it'll work' either.

Remember that we use How it'll work as our guideline for how this election will work. This isn't exactly like other elections, and that's why Jkaizer decided to say how it'll work straightforward to us, so that way we wouldn't have disagreements like this.

Were you speaking to Piro or me, when you said stop complaining?

I think she was talking to me. And to JA, I know if a moderator becomes president that he/she loses their title. The fact is that they already have a title is what I am saying. Moderators who already have a title and already have a colored name are more known and popular than us normal members which gives you the advantage over the normal member. You already have two of the three prizes awarded to the president and vice-president.

Existing titles don't matter here. It's probably fairer if at least one pres/vp is a mod anyway, since then we have broader representation.

That's an opinion, JA. Doesn't mean it is true.

Doesn't mean it isn't either. All election campaigns have an element of subjectivity XD

And I want to ask you. How come titles don't matter here?

XD, so true.

Anyways, to Piro... If you get elected, and the month later, Andy says you should be modded, do you think it would be fair to let him mod you? Sometimes you have to think backwards, XD

Also, PCP(and I have said this ALOT of times) was made to vote for PC's most loved or most deserving member, and to give them some extra recognition.

You can put out the word not to vote for them because of your reasons(its good reasoning, but still not fair) in your own campaign. Some people might listen ^_^

There you go. It's nothing to do with the title they already have at all. Thanks Britt ^^

Yes, actually I think it would be fair considering in this example, I won the election as a normal member. I didn't have a title then, and since I won I recieved one.

Since when did a blue name, just a few shades off the default and the title "Moderator" make us popular?

People seem to hate me now that I'm a mod because I have power and can close the poor little n00bie threads. -_-;;

And we've had the debate before... mods can run.

ANd what's this thing about preferences? I'm lost...
