Though I am still not really sure what is the point of a PC president, I feel that a PC president should be a good role-model, loyal to PC and has other good qualities that make him/her stand out from the rest of the members. A president should also be the voice and representative of all the members, so choose your vote wisely ;)
 
i think that the member should of been here for quite some time and has a huge post count (and no not stupid SPAM messages) and well frankly, spends a lot of time here.

i actually think the person that becomes president shouldnt be a MOD or anything no offence to anyone (especially you JA) i just feel that it would be stupid but then again a senator runs for president during his term so he doesn't do any work for his state which shouldn't be allowed...

but hey thats america for you XD
 
On the contrary, I feel that it would be a good idea for at least one of the officebearers to be a mod, because a mod can actually do something to help the community. I mean, a non-mod can help newbies and stuff like that, but they don't have any authority over anything.
 
i agree with JA. and er... yeah... its 99% of her coolness thats getting this vote.

Yea, and also, what if a normal member got elected to be president, and they got modded later? Restricting mods from the election is a really unfair idea.

By the way, this is an election, and in a true election there's such a thing as "giving preferences". As the Australian candidates, Sarah (a1337a) and I have a deal going. Should I receive more votes than her, she will give her preferences to me (ie. I get her votes), and if I have fewer votes than her I give my preferences to her. This contract is declared null and void if we come first and second in the poll. There was no rule against this and you can't put one in place now when we're already in the middle of the elections/campaigns, so this is an evil way to try and get an Aussie into power.

Sorry but we had established rules. Decisions about this go to the two people coordinating the event.

Of course, if it is allowed, then I will have to find somebody to run with.
 
As long as you aren't bribing someone? The only reason JA is getting so many votes is because she is bribing people with things, ie.: penguins and hairballs according to her signature.
 
Wow that was spam, Andy. And Blaze, if bribing isn't allowed then why hasn't anyone gotten onto JA or a few others for that matter?
 
hmm i have just starting reading this presidential thread and i know who im gonna vote for already..
 
nope..lol...im just gonna wait till its time to vote and vote for who i think deserves it...
