West's Heel Turn
By Daniel Pena

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

-- TNA officials have already decided to tone down Don West's heel act. They felt they went too far with it and had to get it under control. West will continue to play a heel, but rather, a subtle heel, like on the last two episodes of Impact. Although, West really only acts heelish when The Beautiful People are wrestling or when the babyfaces do something outrageously stupid.

---------------------------------
Ok, if haven't been watching TNA, your missing one of the best Heal Turn's I've ever seen. Many people say Down West sucks as an announcer, and they would be correct. But this heal turn was so well done, a major surprise for TNA, they should have never stopped it. I was actually on the edge of my seat sometimes when Don West would go heal during a show in the last few weeks. Hes a GREAT heal. Made the announcing all that more entertaining.

Thanks for letting us down again, TNA...

Smackdown was crazy. That Undretaker and HBK thing at the end was HILARIOUS!

I wanted McCool to be Diva Champ. :( Was that girl Gail Kim, or whatever?

The begginning was nice, with Cristian falling of the ladder. xD

Gail Kim on SmackDown! was the best part of the night. It was really the only part that kept me awake.
I heard about that. I hope that she can actually help the women's division.

Well, thats foul. I was expecting crazy matches for the 500th episode, like Hell in a Cell, Inferno, whatever. Why is Vince doing this?!
Because Vince is so aggravated, he lost his conscience.

Lol. Hell in a Cell and Inferno matches are toooo rare to be showcased in the 500th episode. ;)

McMahon Shoves SmackDown Aside
By Daniel Pena

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

-- Original plans called for the Big Show vs. Edge match to main event last week's edition of SmackDown, but Vince McMahon pulled it from the show and put it on Monday's Raw instead. McMahon then had a blow up because head SmackDown writer Michael Hayes wanted to make last week's SmackDown a loaded show, but told him there are more important things going on right now than the 500th episode of SmackDown. Hayes wanted to do a major Raw vs. SmackDown interbrand match on the 500th episode of SmackDown, but McMahon nixed it as well.
It just shows how much McMahon loves Raw.

Now that Edge and Big Show squared it off, what becomes of their match in W25?

Shawn Micheals dressed up in Taker's coat and everything else but in an all white attire. He taunted Taker and ran away when Taker came from under the ring.

Yeah, that was really funny. I really wanted McCool to win. :( Who do you think is gonna be Miss Wrestlemania? xD

12 Rounds A "Nightmare" For WWE
Written by Richard Gray

Steven Mallas of BloggingStocks.com blogged yesterday on 12 Rounds failing on opening weekend, calling it "a nightmare for WWE." Below is what Mallas had to write about the film's failure and his advice to investors:

One thing's completely unambiguous: World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE: WWE) failed with 12 Rounds. The picture looked like it could have done good business, but even big-gun distributor News Corp. (NYSE: NWS) couldn't push this one into the top five. Right now, 12 Rounds is in seventh place with around $5 million in its purse. WWE needed to hit with this one, as I observed in my preview piece. Now, I'm not sure what the movie cost to make. But I've read a couple sources, including this one, that seem to imply that the budget was somewhere around $20 million. I could believe that. No matter what, this couldn't have been an ultra-low budget affair, thus making a $5 million opening weekend simply unacceptable.

So, we have a tale of two media stocks. One scores at the box office, one is down for the count. Take WWE first: this really is a major blow since the company is spending a lot of money to be in the movie business and since its cash-flow statement isn't great right now. The market doesn't seem to see it that way, though. As I write this, shares of WWE are down only 1.9%. That might sound like a lot, but honestly, on a down day like today, it doesn't seem like a bad hit. Vince McMahon needs to work on his movie model, though. My best advice is to work on concept first. Don't try to make the movies mere vehicles for his talent roster. For some reason, that doesn't work. I'm not sure why. On paper, throwing John Cena before the camera should be gold. It's not. The other thing is: don't spend a lot on the projects. Try to make movies for $5 million or less. A lot less. It can be done. I don't think I'd buy WWE today, even on its weakness. I'll need to see more information on how its cash-flow statement is doing during the next quarterly report.

Smackdown Announcer Tazz Departs From WWE
By Brad Ingles

Smackdown announcer Tazz contract expired today and last night's taping of Smackdown was his final WWE broadcast. He has not been on good terms with Vince McMahon and has been yelled at several times. According to friends, Tazz was talked out of confronting Vince at least once about his aggressive production style.

Maria should never win anything of significance ever. She just doesn't look like a winner.
She's not as talented either.

Awww...!! I really liked Tazz. At least they still have JR... for now!

I think that Melina, Gali Kim, or Michelle Mccool would become Ms. Wrestlemania...

WrestleMania To Have 3-Man Announce
By Michael Bluth

Jim Ross has posted another blog entry, which can be read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Some highlights:

The WrestleMania Announce Team: "I am looking forward to manning the ringside broadcast table with the King and Michael Cole on Sunday as all three of us no doubt feel honored to be a part of this historic event. To those of us who earn a living in the business this obviously isn't just another day at the office. It's getting near kickoff time folks and I can't wait."

Former WWE Star In Negotiations To Return
By Daniel Pena

-- In an interview with Michigan Live, Monty Brown (a.k.a. "Marcus Cor Von") said he is in negotiations for a return to World Wrestling Entertainment.

"I had to take some time away for a while on my own terms, but I kept a good rapport with the company and can come back at any time," Brown said. "I've got a lot going and I had a lot going (before leaving the WWE)."

Since his departure from WWE, Brown has pursued other avenues including the much anticipated launch of his own athletic clothing brand — Scripture Clothing.

Marcus Cor Von has his eyes on the money for his clothing brand.

Do you know when he'll open it?

Oh? There's no ECW announce team? What a shame..

The Triple H vs Orton and Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels storylines are the best storylines in at least 3 years if you ask me.

The McMahons and Triple H attacking the Legacy and Shawn Michaels getting in the Undertakers head. Finally some good creative writing. Well done WWE, well done.
