Gen V takes a lot of heat for its designs, mainly because of Vanilluxe and Garbador, but it had some of the coolest designs in the series.

Scolipede, Reshiram, Zoroark, Hydreigon, all of Kyurem's formes, the Therian-forme genies... I could go on.You gotta take the good with the bad because GF really got imaginative.
 
Salamence. Hydreigon is my only one, but still, I can't ignore how awesome Salamence is
