3rd Gen Question about late evolutions

I just raised a Bagon to level 30 at the Daycare center. I forgot to evolve him at level 30 manually. So he didn't evolve to Shellgon until level 31.

Are his stats messed up now since he evolved 1 level late? Or does it not matter

It won't matter since all the stats will be automatically adjusted to the same thing as it wouild be when you evolve it at level 30.

Ok whew. Thought I messed up there. I spent all day breeding bagon's for perfect stats and I wanted to raise him up to level 30 before I went out to do EV training.

Yeah, but protect is useless on Salamence and you could use a heart Scale if you really needed it.

yes they do automatically adjust so it will be like he evolved at lvl 30 and gained a lvl however he looses out on protect which isnt that major as you can buy it if you badly want it

My Salamence is equipped with Choice-Specs
Modest Nature
IV's: 25 hp, 16 atk, 16 def, 30 sp atk, 16 sdef, 27 spd
EV's: 4 hp/ 252 spatk / 252 spd
Draco Meteor
Flamethrower
Dragon pulse
Hydropump

just maxed out his EV's and am level training him on the elite4

Protect really isn't worth getting b/c you can get better moves as you gain levels like exocorp has shown =]
