    So I see Simona, the trade lady, but she doesn't currently offer me the option to trade. What exactly do I need to complete first to unlock trading? I want to do the bare minimum, so I can transfer a starter to do a run with two starters.

    Also, do traded pokemon gain more exp in this game?

    To unlock trading, I believe you need to complete mission 5 "A Request from Mai" in the main story first! Then you'll have the option to trade at the NPC.

    Can't comment on whether Pokémon get an experience boost since I've not tried using a traded Pokémon yet though, but I assume there is no boost? A lot of things are done differently in the game and trade evolutions are no longer the only way to get certain mons altogether (now you can just use an item to evolve them), so I feel like there wouldn't be much of a reason to keep the boosted exp feature in this game.

    Thanks! That sounds pretty far off, so maybe I'll do without trying to trade for starters.

    If you or anyone else can confirm about trade exp, I'd be much obliged.
