Quick Question and Answer Thread / Breeding Questions

Using the friendship checker app in your Poketch (6th, I think), you can check the current happiness of your Pokemon. 2 big hearts should be enough for it to evolve. You can raise your Pokemon's happiness in the following ways:
Walking 256 steps
Getting a massage from Veilstone City or the Ribbon Syndicate in the Resort Area
Using Vitamins, healing items, or the EV reducing berries (Pomeg through Tamato)
Gaining a level
Holding a Sooth Bell while doing any of the above

Poffins don't affect happiness in anyway, just so you know.

You can also get daily massages from the Ribbon Consortum (or whatever they're called) at the Resort Area. Show them a Pokémon with at least 9 ribbons to get in.

(Julia in Sunyshore gives out ribbons daily. Also Contests.)

You can also feed them vitamins or EV-reducing berries.

Also, if your Pokémon "hates" you (runs away from you in the happiness checker), trade it to another game and back and it will have default happiness.

Can somebody name the best moves for a Chingling and its evolution please.

I just want to say that this thread would be a better place to ask since this question isn't exactly "simple".

Anyway, some copy/pasta from Smogon:
Chimecho @ Leftovers
Bold (+ def - atk)
252 HP/116 Def/80 Sp. Atk/60 Sp. Def
~ Knock Off
~ Psychic
~ Wish
~ Thunder Wave / Hypnosis / Heal Bell / Reflect

Try asking in the thread I linked to. You'll probably get a better answer there.

Thanks and last question, where can i find Zigzagoon, Rattata, Pidgey and Poochyena in the wild?

Spiritomb...

This will sound like a noob question, but... I need help. My friend gave me a Spiritomb egg over a trade today (in Platinum) and I can't get it to hatch. I've walked so far (25,000 steps at the moment) and I'm getting bored.

Does anyone know how many steps it takes exactly to hatch it? 'Coz then I can give it Exp Share and it can beat every opponent.
:P

Rattata: route 225-226
Zigzagoon: Swarm pokemon at route 202
Pidgey: Swarm pokemon at route 229 ( Uncommon in route 229 platinum)
Poochyena: None in d/p. In platinum route 214(Pokerader)

Well it takes exactly 7, 905 steps to hatch. Much faster if you have an Action Replay.

Hm... I've been riding the bicycle for ages... maybe I should just run...

It says 'What will hatch from this? It doesn't seem close to hatching.'

I'm confused...

Well... I hate to break it to you, but Spiritomb isn't able to beat any pokemon in the game, all you need is a pokemon that has a good Sp. Atk. Remember, Typing isn't everything, A Luxray may often defeat an Onix. I can, however, tell you that you should get a Slugma/Macargo and put in your party, and it will hatch much faster.. I'll give you one if you'd like.

Here i have a solution.
Well your game must be glitched or something.. Is it a bad egg?

I've got no idea...
I just got it from a friend... he has the Japanese version of the game...

That would be good... it's taking ages...

So, your problem is fixed? Does it like you? Got a footstep ribbon?
