Quick Question and Answer Thread / Breeding Questions

Starly and Staravia are great choices to get EV's in speed. Starly gives you +1 EV while Staravia gets you +2 EV's; both in speed. You can find these two pokémon easily anywhere. A main place to find Starly is just north of Twinleaf Town and Staravia can be spotted in the Trophy Garden. However there are many other places to find them in, so...your pick there. ;)

As for the Power Anklet, it increases the speed EV's you get from battles, but when equipped, it temporarily reduces the speed stat. It is your choice on if you want to use it as I don't see why not.

Thank you very much.:) I see what happenings in its training.

I'm not sure if this is the right section, but does anyone know where i can find good contest movesets?

It really depends on what pokémon you want for your contest team. Also, since contest pokémon do not need much training [with the exception when training for moves], just find a moveset for any pokémon here. There is a list of moves; select one and it will tell you if it is a Cool, Smart, Cute, etc. and whatnot. Have fun! :]

Hey
I have a shiny starly and it's OT saids Battle? does anyone know why it would say that

Did you trade for it? Or catch it on your own? because that just means that someone called their trainer "battle"

Pichu, being a baby pokemon, is unable to breed with any pokemon. Once you evolve it into pikachu, you can use it to breed

I traded for it and on the OT it actually said battle with a question mark

that would be it then, as I believe that you can also put special characters, such as a question mark, into the trainer's name

ok I thought maybe the trainer used the AR code to catch other trainers Pokemon and then used a code to make the Starly shiny.

That could have been it. I didn't really think of that. But you probably should trust the person that traded it to you. If they say it's legit, then it probably is, especially if you traded with someone on pokecommunity.

I was wondering :

If i gave Smeargle the Judgment move
would it act the same way as Arceus - in that if i am holding a different plate the type of the move will be different?

Yes, if Smeargle is holding a Splash Plate, it'll use Water type Judgment, if it's holding Zap Plate then Electric Judgment and so on.

@ZeroForce:

In Platinum, you can find one in Route 212. In D/P, you can find them in Route 225 and in Mt. Coronet.
