Update for Sapphire - Steel will be done on my Emerald instead. My Ruby went strange.

Got Go-goggles from May
Got Lillip fossil (Anorith is ground/bug type)

No, Anorith and Armaldo are Rock/Bug types.

Update:

Made my way from Fallarbor Town and past through that Whismer cave. Got Strength and proceeded to go and beat Team Magma. Then passed though the jagged pass, to Lavaridge Town. While there I swept the gym with Grath, my Zangoose, and got gogo goggles. I trained in the route 111 and then went to Petalburg to take on my "dad". Beat him, got surf, now here are my Pokemon.

Solne - Male Linoone - Lv 33
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

(Headbutt, Mud Sport, Sand Attack, Facade)

Grath - Male Zangoose - Lv 32
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

(Slash, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Crush Claw)

Rekal - Female Loudred - Lv 34
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

(Stomp, Shock Wave, Supersonic, Rock Smash)

I forget Rekal's other move since I never use it, I think. Just remembered, it was the HM Rock Smash. Can't wait for the move deleter.

Johnny, you can put me back on the list now for normal. I'm getting back into it.

I'm currently training for the Mossdeep gym, Slugma finally evolved so I can use that now, lvl 38. :D

It's gonna be a pain for me though when I add Lileep or Ryhorn to my team 'cos it means depositing someone in PC when I need to fly or surf, Fire Red would be better for a rock monotype seeing as you can get Aerodactyl and Omanyte, I think I'll do that after this one actually. :)

Alright, I just beat Roxanne, so I'm gonna update my status.

Synopsis:
Chose Treecko so my rival would have a fire starter.
I caught a Wurmple and evolved it into a Beautifly.
Attempted to release Treecko. Failing that, I just deposited him.
Went out and caught another Wurmple. Turned out to be a Silcoon. Released.
Caught another Wurmple. Silcoon. Released.
Caught another Wurmple and finally got a Dustox.
Caught a Nincada.
Grinded like mad for awhile.
Beautifly took out Roxanne's Geodudes and half of Nosepass's health. Potion restored Nosepass while Dustox caused a bit of damage with Confusion.
Nincada saved me. I used Harden like mad and then kept using Leech Life.
Recovered goods and defeated my rival.

Off to Mr. Briney.

Chose Treecko so my rival would have a fire starter.

You want to have a little bit of a challenge. I do the same thing thing in my challenges. I started out with Treecko in my normal run as well to face the fire/fighting Pokemon Torchic would become.

Update 3

I went back and caught a Taillow as it's Normal Flying
Trained it up level 20
Trained Slakoth to level 19 so it learnt Faint Attack then evolved it at level 20 into Vigoroth
Took on Brawly and beat him in 4 turns with Taillow
Went to Slateport and beat up Team Aqua
Went to Trick Master House and got Rare Candy
Went along the low road route and beat that chick.
And just arrived in Mauville.

Update 3

I went back and caught a Taillow as it's Normal Flying

Tergen/Swellow level 23
-Peck
-Wing Attack
-Steel Wing
-Quick Attack

I feel like using Swellow is cheating, so I'm not using him in my playthrough. Your taking the easy way out for fighting, fighting types.

It was only really for that gym then for when I get Fly that'll be about it.
But it's still Normal type so it's allowed

I didn't say it wasn't allowed, I was just saying that it was taking the easy way out. I beat the fighting gym without Tailow in 5 turns.

I guess my guys were just too strong for Brawly's Pokemon. A level 22 Linoone and level 21 Loudred.

I had 2 level 20 Linoone's
2 level 20 Loudred's and a level 20 Vigoroth
But I didn't challenge the gym until I got Taillow

So I'm thinking of going ahead and doing the Electric challenge, how should I go about starting? Gonna be done on my Emerald ver.

Edit: If I have too, then I'll do this on an Emulator so I can get the Poke early. (Thinking a Voltorb). If I have to, I'll wait until I get an Electrike, Plusle, or Minun.

You should do it on a emulator. Emerald, and get all the pokemon you want early. At level 1. I think we are allowed to do that.

Just get all your wanted pokemon at level 1 and play the game :D

Yeah same, I started with Mudkip as I'm doing rock type, so Treeko is my opponent, I would have started with Torchic but a Water and Ground typed Mudkip would kick the crap out of me. xD

Got dive and beat team magma at their underground cavern or whatever it was.
Awakened Groudon and caught him at Sootapolis City (used the masterball because it was killing all my pokemon in like one/two hits.)
Trained all over the waters of Hoenn.
Trained a lot, trained more then trained some more.
Still can't beat Wallace.
Training more.
