Well, it turns out I didn't need as long as I thought, and I just started my Poison-type run.

Here's what I've accomplished thus far:

-Started game.
-Picked up Surfboard (Mudkip) as my starter. I'll be using him as an HM slave later on.
-Got to May without encountering a single wild Pokemon!
-Fought May, Surfboard grew to lv6.
-Got Pokedex.
-Caught 2 Zigzagoon as "Pickup slaves."
-Went from Littleroot to Rustboro. Did the usual story-related activities, fought as few trainers as possible.
-Arrived in Rustboro with Surfboard at lv10.
-Fought Roxanne (and gym trainers), Surfboard grew to lv14 in the process.
-Did usual Rustboro quests (the Devon guy and the Aqua grunt). Surfboard grew to lv15.
-Headed to Dewford, went immediately to the cave and caught Dracula, a lv7 Zubat and my first real team member.
-Backtracked to fight the trainers I skipped.

Some notes:
-Zigzagoon's Pickup. I had never bothered with it before, but with only 2 Zigzagoons, at this point, I've already acquired a Full Restore, Rare Candy, 2 Nuggets, a Full Heal, and an Ultra Ball. I'm definitely keeping the Zigzagoons in my party, at least for the time being.
-Zubat is very difficult to train from the level it's at. The only attacks it knows are Leech Life (a 20-damage, non-STAB move) and Supersonic (with only 55% accuracy, it can't ever be counted on). I actually had to use Surfboard when faced with a lv8 Taillow because Dracula couldn't do much of anything against it. Hopefully this will be the last time I need to use Surfboard in battle. I'm going to grind Dracula on wild Pokemon until it learns at least one better move before I try fighting any more trainers.

Since I'm doing it on a gameboy and have no ways to take pcis... I'm on an honor system. :P And my updates will most likely be rubbish. But right now I'm just training. My character is King, my Torchic(Blankey) is level 15, and Shroomish(Brella) is 10. I'm in the route that connects to Rusturf Tunnel.

My original plan was to play through on an Emulator but since i've started a new game on Emerald, I'm going to play on my Nintendo DS, it's better that way I think :P, will update my progress regularly,

I beat Roxanne yesterday. I expected to use Combusken(it evolved) but all I needed was Brella. And so now they're both level 16. And I have one badge. And I can go save elves from pirates. <3<3

Game: Pokemon Emerald
Type: Flying

Intro


- Started up Emerald on my Nintendo DS
- Changed the setting to "Text speed > Fast"
- Named my character "Joe" (My name Of course)
- Arrived in Littleroot town from the Truck and was greeted by Mom
- Went into the house, was told to set the clock in my room to the correct time
- Went back downstairs when Mom tells me that Dad's on TV but we just missed him.
- Leave the house and go next door to meet new neighbour "May"
- Exit May's out and went out of Littleroot town where a little girl tells me there's trouble ahead
- Professor Birch is being attacked by a Zigzagoon and tells me to pick one of the Pokemon from his bag
- I picked... Torchic!
- Defeated the Zigzagon and saved Professor Birch
- Returned to Professor Birch's lab and got given the Torchic I used to save him earlier on! (Not going to be using Torchic considering my type is flying and I have my team planned out :P)
- Left Birch's lab and exited out of Littleroot town,
- Carried on north up the Route, battled a few pokemon, and eventually reached Odale town! :)
- Carried on through Odale town up North to Route 103
- Walked to the top of Route 103 to find May standing in the grass
- Talked to May and offered to battle
- May sends out her Level 5 Mudkip! - Torchic, used Scratch (Regardless that Torchic has low hp) :/ - Mudkip used tackle - Torchic used scratch, ect. 2 hp left, Torchic uses scratch (Critical hit!) and defeated Mudkip, leveld up (Level 6)
- Returned to Littleroot town and to Professor Birch's lab.
- Receive the Pokedex from Professor Birch and set off for my journey
- Received the running shoes from Mom.

Nah, I won't be using Torchich I'll probally catch a Taillow & Wingull soon.

Can't decide wether to have A Beautifly/Dustox or not, already got planned (Swellow, Altaria, Pelliper, Skamory & Tropius) Might just have 5 considering 6 is difficult to keep up with and train. :P

Update

- Battled and defeated a Member from Team Aqua,
- Cleared Petalburg Woods
- Battled a few trainers on the route heading towards Rubursto City, also obtained the Wailmer Pail :P
- Entered the Ruburso City Gym, battled the trainers their and trained Wingull.
- Healed up my pokemon and took on Roxanne, First pokemon - Geodude Lv. 12 - One hit K.O with Wingull's Water Gun! :P & Wingull Grew To Level 13 & Learnt Wing Attack! 2nd Pokemon Again, Geodude Lv. 12, Another 1 Hit K.O with Wigull's Water Gun, Finally Nosepass Lv. 15, Took a Supersonic & 2 Waterguns but I won :P
- Received the Stone Badge & TM 39 (Rock Tomb) :D

They actually gave me a bit more trouble than I thought...

Now that I got Dive, I got a water stone from the sunken ship, and finished my team.

I saved the world. Killed the Groudon. Don't care.

Well everyone I took a ton of screenshots and was gonna make this a cool post but there were just too many screenshots so I'll type it all out.

Sidney:
Medicham Hi Jump Kicked his way to a very easy victory here.

Phoebe:
Problems. The first Dusclops easily survived Alakazam's Shadow Balls and killed me with a few Shadow Punches. I had to struggle with the rest of my fast and hard hitting team. Starmie defeated the Sableye with a critical surf.

Glacia:
Medicham shines again. Fighting types are beast in this game. I won with 5 Hi Jump Kicks, plain and simple.

Drake:
I discovered that Solrock's Explosion is really freakin awesome. His Salamence scared me so I blew it up, and then my strong Psychics just defeated the rest of his team. No need for Ice moves.

Steven:
Skarmory fell in one hit to Alakazam's Shock Wave.
Aggron died in one hit from Starmie's surf.
Cradily and Armaldo both died to a Hi Jump Kick.
Claydol died to a couple surfs.
Metagross...screw this thing. Used at least 20 revives. He got like +4 attack from Meteor Mash which never missed. I had to stall him out until he used Hyper Beam so I could bring in Gardevoir to Hypnosis him and use Starmie's surf a few times for the win.
