Ok so I guess R4 is allowed here..
Now I'm not using cheats or anything, just some portable emulation.

Ok so I have a R4i gold, and I tried wood, and the one that "came" with it (preffered on site) but I cant get the games to play. pokemon b/w to anything

The games show up but when I click on (its been a while) it goes:
    Creating save file
    [||||||| ]
    Saved file failed
something like that, point is, it wont load the games

    Make sure:
    • The SD card can be written to. (Not Read-Only)
    • The ROM can be written to. (Not Read-Only)
    • There is room on the SD card. (Free Space)
    • The ROM is not broken. (Make sure it's clean)
    • The ROM is not compressed. (Not in a .ZIP/.RAR file)

If none of those are the issue, I am stumped.

    • I can get stuff on it ofcourse..
    • ROM means read only?
    • Yes there is
    • B/W are patched, but im pretty sure the rest are clean
    • They were,but I extracted them
Sorry If I mis-understood some things, I'm not that smart to this stuff. xD

Don't use Wood, use TTMenu. R4i is actually a clone of DSTT, so it works better on it than Wood does. I've been playing White on R4i/TTmenu for months and it's worked fine.

EDIT: If you can afford it, I'd say invest in a Supercard. :) I've got a DSTwo now and it's BEAUTIFUL. Works like a dream, most games play completely unpatched.

Ok, finally decided to try this
Turns out I have TTmenu, and other stuff. should I just delete everything in the sd card now?
and just paste in the TTmenu stuff?
    Because theres stuff such as
    [games]
    [homebrew]
and ect. so do I just add [Games] (or keep this here) and itll load the games?
What do I need to keep? idk..\

    ASAP PLEASE

    EDIT:

Ok so I tried deleting everything, except ttmenu, and it got a error.
then I tired having everything but updating TTMenu. Still a error.
    The message:
"An error has occurred. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off.
Please see the Nintendo DSi Operatings Manual for help troubleshootings".
    ------------
Can anybody list what stuff they have and to make it work?

I once bought one of the R4i Gold cards. Couldn't boot a single thing on it, from homebrew to ROMs.

Good luck with it, I couldn't find a solution, so I returned it, got my money back, and ordered an M3DS Real instead. Everything works on that for me.

I would try using YSMenu instead of wood. White works perfectly for me on it.

    (Folder) Moonmemo
    (Folder) moonshl2
    (Folder) R4i Menu
    (Folder) TTMenu
    R4.dat
    TTmenu.dat
    TTmenu.nds
    DEMON0.sys
    SWRESET.sys
    TTMENU.sys
    (Various games)

Basically, when you boot it up it'll be the normal R4i menu. Then, you boot TTmenu.nds. It'll reboot with the TTmenu kernel. THEN, you can choose the game you want to play. I'm not sure if you need the Moonshell folders, but I have them and it works, so if it ain't broke I ain't gonna fix it.
