Random Avatar Question...

Is it possible that the avatar size could be increased to up to 50KB? I think it's at 35KB now...which is pretty meager if you use a gif avatar ^^; Well...I was just wondering if we could; if we're able.

You have to remember, however, that there are still people on dial-up.

Combined with sigs already, pages are nearing quite a high size.

And on top of that, the server really isn't in top form at the moment, as you can tell, and I doubt uping avatar size would help that very much >.o;

When I was a mod the avatar size for mods was 49kb and the higher staff got huge sizes. Steve had an avatar that was 1.5mb big one time.

Though most staff don't really excersize the use of humongous avatars. In my opinion, large animations are overkill anyways. You don't need a big long animation in your avatar.

Yeah seriously though if you have photoshop though you can possibly optimize it.

big avatars are not really needed and people with dial up or slow connections would not be able to view the site, big long animations are for your sigs but, you should keep them down too, when I had dial up, i really couldn't view the site very much, and I know people who still can't......
