Update 1- "My best friend has ADHD."

The start of my journey was rather uneventful. I was watching some documentary about a geezer named Rowan when my childhood friend Roy suddenly rushed into my room. I was about to throw the closest heavy object at him for just bursting into my room without invitation when he blurted something about getting Pokemon from the very Professor I had just seen on TV. With that, he ran off. I followed, fearing what sort of trouble my hyperactive friend might get into.

By some sort of odd coincidence we met the Professor just as my moronic buddy decided it would be a good idea to rush into the tall grass without any means to defend himself. The old guy gave us a couple Pokemon (I chose Piplup, Roy chose Turtwig), he left, and Roy challenged me to a battle from which he emerged victorious. Mildly agitated over my loss, I returned home only to have my mother send me out again to "properly thank" that Rowan guy from giving me a free Pokemon that would be fated to spend the rest of it's days as an HM mule. Apparently Roy's mother told him the same thing because I met the little blond pest on my way to Sandgem. He urged me to join him at the Lake, where we would catch the legendary Pokemon to present as a suitable token of our gratitude. I knew that just two kids would have no chance of capturing a Pokemon of that caliber anyways, so I humored Roy and we went to the Lake. We didn't see any legendary Pokemon- just some weird guy talking to himself. It was then that Roy remembered that we didn't even have anything to catch the Pokemon with anyway. He suddenly proclaimed that Rowan would be more than happy to give him some more free stuff, and ran off to Sandgem without me. Needless to say, I was rather perturbed (and a bit frightened, because that creepy nutcase that was talking to himself could still be around).

I arrived in Sandgem just as my friend was to depart. In fact, Roy ran into me as I approached the laboratory. Long story short, Rowan lectured me on the bond between people and Pokemon, and his assistant instructed me to go home once again so I could tell my mom I was going on a whirlwind adventure to become a Pokemon master. I did just that, though I was getting rather tired of running back and forth. After I arrived in Sandgem for the second time, I caught a lovely little female Shinx. As adorable as she was, I nicknamed her 'Abby', and a friend of mine from Johto even sent me a cute little Cleffa named Whitney to aid me on my journey.

TL;DR version- I did my basic starter stuff, got a Piplup (Pippen, future HM mule), caught a Shinx (Abby), and traded a Cleffa (Whitney) from SoulSilver before I saved.

It's ok to hack for getting Pokemon early, just have them low leveled and keep it balanced. I personally got my Omanyte legally and it is now an Omastar at level 47, still haven't challenged the Viridian Gym yet. :)

This can also count as an update... My team is fully at it's place now, everyone being at least level 45. Golbat is already supposed to evolve, but due to the lack of National Dex it just keeps freezing the evolution. :(
Oh well, guess it's my way of not breaking the challenge. Anyhow, I'm probably going to finish the challenge on Friday, cause I won't be here tomorrow. This is so far really fun.

Proceeded to route 102 and Battled all trainers before grinding. had to go back to Pokecenter for healing.. (because of PP) Helped wally catch his pokemon.... Then went back to grinding.. all pokemon level nine exept Wingull Now. New moves:

After i finished.. (took me a good 30 minutes to grind it) i went into the forest. Took on all the trainers and the magma grunt. (...)
beat him easy. :) went on.. in search of a fire pokemon. went out of the place and came to the flower shop did nothing and moved on up the bridge. Battled all the trainers. i battled with the pride of ghost pokemon.
came to the next gym entered and battled the gym trainers. Got Sabi to level 13 and learned astonish beat the gym with All pokemon exept wingull (most of them level nines...) Beat her level 14 geodude (i think) and level 15 Nosepass. went to earn cut. Healed up Went to the tunnel to take on the magma grunt Beat him easy. Went back to devon corp. earned pokenav saved and quit.

1. Is the last slot a Pokemon of my own choice or must it be empty/an HM slave?
2. What happens if my Golbat evolves? I mean, it evolves by happiness. I can never know when it will strike.

EDIT: Can someone generate one Flying type Pokemon so I can have a flyer on my Platinum team instead of Ditto? Also is it even possible to breed Ditto? EDIT2: You can't breed ditto and since I'm breeding and trading eggs I won't be able to use it. I generated a Mothim so I'll just use it unless someone generates one for me before I begin in the morning. EDIT3: Darn, Mothim doesn't learn fly. Take two: Ledian! Same thing... Take three: Altaria. Okay this one learns fly. Same thing above if someone generates it before I start in the morning I'll use theirs.
