Some of the sprites were pretty cool (specifically that Silcoon amoeba thing), but the theme of red + black/scythe/purple smoke is definitely overused. Regardless of the theme, you do have decent spriting skills, and even compiled your results into a convenient format.

The music reminds me of Kefka's Tower from FFVI.
 
Pretty cool, but has SOOO MUCH POTENTIAL!
Get a good remixer, and maybe different effects on the background, and that could be an amazing vid.

BTW, The first 2 mins. or so has the song Judgement Day, the music for when you're in the North Cave in FFVII.
