4th Gen Rattata...

    I think that ratata has a lot of potential as a great pokemon in hg/ss. His stats are good from what i can see and he evolves early. Hyper fang always helps in a pinch. who agrees?
     
    You mean Rattata? I don't like it much. Pretty annoying in my opinion.
     
    once he evolves he is good, but until that he's pretty much just a place holder.
     
    not even when he evolves, his speed and attack are a great bonus in the early stages of the game. He definetly has an advantage over all the other pokemon
     
    I hate Rattata almost as much as I hate Zubat, and I hate Zubat almost as much as I hate Joey and I really hate Joey.

    Joey: Hey how's it going!?
    Me: Oh Im....
    Joey: Yeah, my Rattata and I almost took down a Pidgy today. My Rattata is in the top percentage of Rattata. Ok by...
    Me: NO! NO MORE! I JUST BEAT WHITNEY WITH A GEODUDE! ONE GEODUDE! I THEN WORKED MY ASS OFF FOR A DRATINI, WHICH COULD ONE HIT YOUR RATTATA WITH TACKLE!
     
    Rattata/Raticate's stats, are, to be perfectly honest, horrible. Furret is better. It's got much better speed, and only remotely lower attack.

    Joey's Rattata is the bane of my existance. I only hate it because of that one phone call. Otherwise, it's not ALL that bad, but there is far better Normal types out there.
     
    It's average at best. It got progressively worse as the games moved on I believe. In the originals it was a boss with the sheer amount of moves it could learn, but since it has been outclassed by other normals like ursaring or something.

    Rattata is a boss its like the original FEAR pokemon and has made pokemon trainers worldwide say one unanimous thing WTF A STUPID RATTATA?????
     
    Rattata annoys the peanuts out of me. I think it's really weak :@
    Raticate is stronger, but it still annoys me nonetheless.
    The both annoy me -_-
    I've chosen not to even try to battle any wild ones (I have to battle the ones in actual battles) and I've chosen not to catch it in HG.
    You can call me a Rattata/Raticate hater. Or just a Rat hater -__-
    I don't recall me ever in my previous Pokemon games, catching a Rattata and having it go past level 10 xDD

    Why does it annoy me, you ask?
    CUZ IT'S EVERYWHERE.
    In the grass, under trees, in your house, in the corners. Eating food, stealing food. In a box, over a box, chewing a box. EVERYWHERE.
     
    its able to learn a lot of tm's. even in red/blue it learned learned tm's that were way better than its original movesets
     
    Rattata is a good Pokemon if it's Level 1 with Endeavor. But annoying.
    Every 5 steps I see some dang rattata, saying it's own name. Then me running away. THEN ANOTHER FRICKEN ONE APPEARS.
    But, I guess it's good with Hyper fang.. Just my opinion =)

    That's only because it's a normal type Pokemon. Normal type Pokemon in general can learn many different types of moves.
     
    I don't like it.

    But I don't like rats.

    Sometimes it can pull a shock on me, like when my Charizard failed to OHKO a Raticate (misclick, but I expected Fire Blast to KO) in Platinum, and it 2HKO'd with Super Fang + Sucker Punch.
