I think he ment, you could change one of those to gyarados because they are all physical
and if you switch your special for phsyical, youll have less coverage

For Swellow, I like Flame Orb better. Facade is such a broken move when with Swellow. It 2HKO's Defense Deoxys (yeah, that's right. The uber)

I'd rather have the following set:

Swellow
Item held: Flame Orb
Ability:Guts
Nature:Jolly (+Speed, -Sp.Attack)
Effort Points: 252Attack , 252Speed , 6HP
Attacks:
Facade
Aerial Ace Brave Bird
Steel Wing Protect
U-Turn

Swellow isn't meant to stay around too long, it's mostly a hit and run kind of Poke. Brave Bird makes the most of it's monstrous attack stat. Protect allows it to get Flame Orb and then sweep.


As for Crobat, I would rather have Hypnosis/U Turn/Aerial Ace/Haze

Hypnosis is awesome on Crobat.
