Recommended animes to watch

Ahhh... action anime??

Katekyo Hitman Reborn and Peacemaker Kurougane is for you...

You can watch Reborn in youtube ^^
Its still running in Japan... So far theres like 88 episodes...
For Peacemaker, there are 24 episodes...

-I recommend Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei even though it may be a bit similar to Pani Poni Dash ('cuz the same guys made it too.) I love it nonetheless.

-Welcome to the NHK is all ~psychological~ and stuff but it's interesting to watch. May be boring for some though.

For action I would suggest Area 88 and would second Death Note. As for a comedy try Fruits Basket. I'm not sure where to include Negima but its good as well.

Action... Umm.. Kodocha... The only thing I can think of that you haven't seen and no one's said yet is Chrono Crusade. And I agree with deadmuffin, Fullmetal Alchemist is a very good anime :]

thanks, both the manga and the anime are awesome...oh, and dont forget the movie

Samurai Champloo is definite for action. only 26 long, but its action packed and animation is done really well

One Piece is a long running series thats going to hit episode 400 pretty soon.

DragonBall Z is the standard anime for action.

lets go for some classics

Ruroni Kenshin, Tenchi Muyo, Ronin Warriors, G Gundam, and Outlaw Star are a few off the top of my head

Heroic Age is a pretty nice mecha anime that's seriously underrated. I don't know many people who've seen it, but the people who have seen it rave about it.

Negima!/Negima!? and Love Hina are both animes you can watch if you like that Harem, Ecchi and all that.

Gravitation if you are a Shounen-ai fan.

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles is a good action anime you could watch as well.

xxxHolic
Is a good Horror, Supernatural, Comedy. Awesome anime.

Jigoku Shojo/Hell Girl is also an awesome Horror anime you'll probably enjoy.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a great anime. It's full of action and I highly recommend it! :)

but Evangelion makes my head hurt....when i watched the movie, i had no idea what was going on, Gainax did their best to make it as confusing as possible

I may be rude but I would like too ask :
What is "harem" ?
What would you recommend if I like ecchi , comedy , action , drama and romance ? (okay I am weird)

ok harem is basically one guy with a lot of girls around him who all are in love with him, the first harem i remember was Tenchi Muyo! and recently Shuffle! and Kanon is a harem....

but to ecchi-Kanokon is your best bet, it is basically soft-core hentai, but it has a good story to it...and Goshuusho-sama ninomiya-kun is a also good for ecchi

and BECK is a good show to watch if you want romance (but its mostly about music)

For comedy most certainly Azumanga Daioh! Fullmetal Alchemist is good for anybody no matter what you perfer.

Yo, I'm looking for something to watch as well.
I don't take anime nearly as seriously as other people to do. My profile of animes that I've watched is considerably small.

Naruto (most, stopped somewhere in fillers)
Naruto Shippuuden (only the first few episodes and the last few released lately)
Fullmetal Alchemist (from tuning into Adult Swim :3 I watched most, but all out of order)
Eureka seveN
Blood+
FLCL
Death Note
Paranoia Agent (finished after making this post)

Current: Code Geass (&R2)
Sayounara Zetsubou Sensei

Incidentally, all of it is on Cartoon Network. Though it's not a bad thing, it seems like I get all my anime from there :( It's also nice to watch it in English.

I'm looking for something to watch while waiting for the rest of Geass to come out, and then to continue, since the series is almost over. I'm into Sci-Fi & Fantasy / Magic, but none of that cute schoolgirl stuff or stupid stuff like Dragonball Z. No pointless fighting stuff either. Looking for something sentimental and sweet, but also awesome. I'll watch Mech. I love Mech. Only some Mech. No mech. I'm not watching Gundam stuff.

I'm looking for something medium-long; 50 episodes would be great. No way am I following something that has 100+ episodes.

Does anyone know of stuff that I'd be interested in?

Which movie did you watch, Death and Rebirth or End of Evangelion? More importantly, did you watch the series before the movie? The Evangelion movies are the kind that you can't really watch unless you know the show like the back of your hand (like me, heh.) In my humble opinion, Neon Genesis Evangelion makes about all other anime look pathetic by comparison.

Euerka seveN, Samurai Champloo and Welcome to the NHK are nice.
And, uh, I dunno, Minami-ke? (if you like Lucky Star, that is)

oh also it's "anime" not "animes" cause it's Japanese and stuff
