    I haven't played Poke'mon Red or Blue in a while, bot does anyone remember the route on the TOWN MAP that left Cerulean City northward, then went east? The only reason I remember it is because I could never seem to reach it. If anyone has a screenshot of the map I can tell you which route I mean, though it should be pretty easy to tell which one I mean (There's only 4 routes leaving Cerulean City, and only one goes North)...

    It bugged the crap out of me. Anyone else know what I'm talking about? Or am I crazy?
     
    Why were you never able to reach it? What did the bug look like?

    I know which one you're on about but I've never encountered any problems getting there.
     
    North starts out with Nugget Bridge, right? Yeah, if I recall correctly that was a pretty important chunk of the world - Cerulean Cave and the Mew glitch aside, you can't board the SS Anne without the ticket, can't get CUT without boarding the SS Anne, can't get to Rock Tunnel via route 10 without CUT, can't get out of Cerulean City to route 10 without the ticket, can't get the ticket without going northeast to Bill's.
     
    No, I went to Bill's house. I was trying to figure out where the route went. I thought it was Bills house too, but when I went to Bill's house and checked my map, it still showed me as being in Cerulean city and not on the path I'm talking about. Plus, it was as long as all the other routes, and having that long of a route on the map representing the relatively short trek to Bill's house is disproportionate.

    You guys do know what route I'm talking about, right? It went north from Cerulean and then east, so it would make sense if it was Bill's house but going to Bill's house and checking the map still registered me in Cerulean and *not* on this route... Maybe it was just a glitch and someone forgot to program in the map showing you at Bills house?

    Also, it was a long time ago. I had even beaten the Elite 4, and so I thought maybe the route was a part of the mewtwo cave, but doing that and checking the map still did not register me on the route (It correctly said I was to the right of it, in a cave). However, that cave is even with the path when it hooks east to Bill's house, yet on the map I appeared 1/3 the way up the northern part of the route I'm talking about on the map screen. I know I tried everything I could think of, but it NEVER showed my trainer as having taken the route...

    That's because the maps before the Advance generation didn't show your exact location on the map, only that you were on a given route or in a given city. That route North of Cerulean was indeed the route that leads to Bill's house.
     
    Okay, so it was Bill's house then... Thanks for clearing that up! It drove me nuts for weeks that there might be an inaccessible area to the game...
     
    Didn't glitch for me. It shows that I left Cerulean and am now on that route.
