When Will The new Pokemon HG And SS Release In Europe?

Even though It has been cleared up, if anyone thinks its coming out in 2011, by then im almost certain there will be another game either in pre-release or released by then in Japan. Also previously stated its just common sense they would release it in 2010, but it could possibly be later in the year as the scripting for 2 regions could take a while (worst case scenario)
 
America going to announce HG and SS in September?

Hey, I don't post much in the Heart Gold and Soul Silver section much but I have kind of noticed something kinda odd. I was checking out the Pokemon official website today and realized that there was a Pokemon Platinum Darkrai event. I was like, "Cool!" and went to check it out, it said that the event ended September 13, which is one day after the Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver Japan release. I was just wondering if any of you guys happen to notice that. Lets hope that they quickly release it, like super dub it like sonic the hedgehog. Please post your thoughts also!
 
NoA can't translate the game until it's completely finished, lest they translate something out of context. Hence, there will certainly be at least five or six months between the Japanese and American releases of HGSS. I would imagine that the very earliest at which we oculd expect HGSS to be released in America is February, and even that is a very generous estimation; March or April look more likely. It certainly won't be released in 2009.
 
Not to mention sales of Mystery Dungeon would be somewhere near ziltch if they release during the same time frame.
 
Mhhh but maybe Pokémon Japan is fooling us and it's already done and the finished version is being translated right away to provide a - at least close - world wide release this time :P

Actually everybody should disregard Get's comment. He is pretty wrong. Right now at this point of the game its pretty much finished and all the final touches are being made. Its too late into its cycle to be unfinished and all. Not to mention the games are pretty much trademarked for the states so whenever they want they can announce the games.

true, and as half of the text is already provided from the originals (if im not mistaken, the text was pretty much identical in FR/LG compared to Red + Blue) so it might not take as long as platinum did.
 
Nah it will still take its time. They need to reread everything make sure its fine have all the new text in and all. I doubt anything before spring but you never know. I mean hell over here word of it has been given to the biggest game magazine. Just bought it and they got some crazy winter thing going on for europe as well.
 
Since this is basically a release date speculation thread, I've merged it with the pre-existing one.

I'd be somewhat surprised if it was before March for America, personally - Feb is a chance, but I don't see it happening, is my prediction.

Note as well there may be more to translate given there'd be two regions in this game, potentially, and it's not all they do too. (Fixing glitches, testing, etc...).
 
I think that the North American version will be released at about April or March. just a guess. but gold and silver have 2 regions, so there will be more words to translate and stuff. o.O but, I guess their translating it right now because the japanese version is finished already, right? *sigh* I think nobody knows the real date of release except Nintendo right now. :P
 
HG/SS US Release Date Confirmed? Also Available for Pre-order

Amazon.com now has HeartGold and SoulSilver available for pre-order. Both pages say they'll be shipped starting on December 31st, 2009.

Even if it turns out to be incorrect, then at the very least the US versions are available for pre-order.
