Removal of existing Social Groups

Social groups could die off, never come back, and I probably wouldn't notice.

Granted I have joined a few, but at the same time they don't serve much of a point anymore. There was hype about them when they first released, and now it seems to be that they're dying off. At least all of the one's I've happened to glance at are.. :/ Buuut for the people who do want them around, I'm glad they're staying for that reason.
 
I Think it makes sense i mean people are just making Groups for the sake of it and not updateing them and when no one joins they've just been left innactive and taking up space! A more Organised system is certainly needded!
 
Correct! Say no to those unnecessary groups!

I don't think those active Social Groups will be forgotten if they're Nuked...

Social groups, in my opinion, are a way of making friends, sharing opinions about certain topics, and giving chances to state one's opinion to the group, where the members respect and respond to the opinion...

I mean, that's what social groups are for, right?

All I gotta say is good. Forums are for posting on forums, not little groups about how you ROM hack or have Crystal Animated Avatars. You can kind of tell those things just by looking at a person's last 10 or so posts >_>

I'll be honest. I started a couple. But I just got bored of it, because I realized how pointless they really were. I'm not trying to bash anyone, but I just never saw what's so great about them :\
 
I don't think I have anything against this idea. There are a lot of groups that are just way inactive and all, that this is a great idea to clean it all up.
 
Finally you guys woke up and saw how stupid those social groups are.

I hate trying to find a specific group and see all these useless, one man social groups left in the dust. I remember seeing an Atheist group before...
 
Well I don't go to Social Groups much so I wouldn't mind if they remove it forever. However there are some members who do like their groups so, yeah. It would be nice if you just remove them all and then start out clean.

That won't work. There are plenty of inactive, duplicate, and otherwise waste-of-space social groups with more than one member or have discussions going (or just a discussion sitting around from months ago, for the inactive groups).

The only way to be fair is to get them all. If you're that into your social group, just be sure to be the first one to make it after the wipe.

They need to be, as previously said, nuked completely.
 
I highly object to this. I don't want to lose everything I've done in groups. Just delete the inactive, and duplicates. After that monitor their creation more closely, and all will be well.
 
Well, aren't you all a bunch of WWIII coveting humanoids. I agree with the others with saving the non-pointless ones. Nuke them!! Gently inform them that they are being terminated.
 
You know what? I think I like this idea. But there will be some groups that I will cherish forever. ^^

After all, they all make up all the history and stuff, and they will always bring you back the memories.

But there are some in which are the same topic as one of the others.

EDIT: My best recommendation is that you shouldn't delete all the Social Groups, but delete the ones that are SPAM.

Have we started the countdown yet? It's almost near. The SG Armageddon...

Well, the next time people will make a social group is that they make sure it's meaningful and active. :D
