i replace bulbasaur with my sprite..but somehow i cant change the name..how to change d name?

if i wanna create additional pokemon, when i export to rom, what num goto i should use to put it in?

If adding new sprites is what you mean.., then hex is what I suggest...

:( But sadly, I don't know how to use a hex editor yet...

I only know a couple of things in PKMN hacking...

how do you change the color depth?

how do you change the color depth on microsoft paint??? I have the right size canvas (64x64) but I dont know how to find the color depth. Thanks for the help.
 
Well, I tried this to get a pokemon from a site for a ROM hack that I am making, but then the image comes up and it's glitchy. The bottom half is all glitchy while the top half is fine. Anyone know what the problem is?
 
umm i have a problem i'm replacing the ruby bulbasaur sprite into the dp bulbasaur sprite(im using paint)and how do we index the sprite with paint oh and the dp sprite was from wah,now when i replace the sprite and play the game there are weird lines at the bottom and the game freezez,after i replaced the bulbasaur sprite its back sprite became missing help
 
I followed the directions and saved image, put my new sprite over it, then imported sprite.

What Turtwig looked like in paint when I copy-pasted him onto te sprite I wanted to replace:

Do you mean the pal is messed up?(the pic was blurry)
If then in UNZL:
1)Goto import and select the turtwig,
2)Then press write to rom.
3)A window will open, saying sprite import options(or something like that.
4)Then also tick the import pallete option.


And your done!

I don't think anyone can understand this.. make your question clearer.

OK...

so i've been messing around with UNLZ and found that some sprites are easy to replace and some aren't. I'm able to replace squirtle and its' evos with piplup and its' evos with great success, but i'm having trouble replacing back sprites. they always turn out looking like this:

You know, to take a picture of the screen, you can jut press the "Print Screen SysRq"
button next to"F12".

And you have to erase the picture before you can paste it over.
I've sent you a pack of sprites. Check your PM's

Yes I see the button but nothing happens when I press it.
 
You have to Paste it in paint then Crop(Resize the image) the image to the size you want. Check PM's now!

But may I ask how you did this so flawlessly?
