Too much controversy into it, especially people who abuse it for their personal gain as well as badmouthing and abusing other people anonymously. Seriously, we don't need too much trouble here...>>

S'exac'ly what happened to me. o.o My rep was horrible, and I never even did anything...

I liked the rep system. I didn't give a crap about the points and colours and whatever, I just liked receiving feedback from my posts. I liked getting praise for my smart or funny posts etc.

If there were a way to bring back rep comments but disabling the rep bars then I'd be all for that.

That'd be a good idea. Disabling the bars. Then, I dont think people would giva a care about how high theirs is

Well, yeah. It'd be pretty stupid for people to care if all the rep points were equal.

But yeah, rep comments were one of my favourite features of PC, it was a shame that people couldn't use the full system properly.

troll-attracting feature

I see no good reason whatsoever to bring back rep points. All that feature does is attract the attention of trolls and encourages spamming up the place.

Rep was once a good feature until almost everyone began to abuse its system...

Though I did like the comment feature.

The comment side of reps were ok. If that did come back then I just hope that someone won't be going around saying "YOU SUCK" "You're too stupid to understand anything" and so on. They'll leave comments that flame and that person has to go off to an Admin to get it removed.
