Honchkrow @ Leftovers / Lum Berry
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: No Idea =[
Rash, Naughty, or Naive Nature

Sucker Punch
Icy Wind / Drill Peck
Hidden Power [Electric] / Hidden Power [Ice]
Substitute / Thunder Wave

Anti-Starter Honchkrow. Hits Gengar, Salamence, Crobat, Hippowdon. Struggles against Tyranitar and Weavile. Just novelty thing I threw together. How does it look?

I don't really get Icy Wind. I know it has the whole speed deal, but paired with Sucker Punch and the inevitable switch-out, it probably isn't necessary.

I need a moveset for a bulky Metagross. Not Agiligross though. My current one runs like this, and somehow, it's a beast with power.

Metagross@Life Orb
Adamant
(Forgot the EVs, but I know 252 atk)

Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Zen Headbutt
Explosion

I have no access to T or Ice Punch.

This

Metagross@Leftovers
EV's: 252 HP/ 164 Atk/ 92 Def
Impish
- Reflect
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Zen headbutt / Boom!! Explosion!!

it would be nice if you could get t-punch, so Gyarados wont lol =[

Tyranitar, Hippowdown and Abomasnow all destroy your theory/strategy. I never like FEAR except for novelty

Also both opponents are attacking smeargle, therefore focus sash won't work as it can only be used once

Nope, actually, I have never found that both use attacking moves. And the only time they did, it was a Gengar using Shadow Ball... o.0

This has actually won me about 20 matches, with 1 loss...

It was a simple question on Smeargle really, I should remove Dusknoir.

That's a pretty good lead for a double battle but I have one question. Doesn't Dark Void put your pokemon to sleep as well so wouldn't that be bad?

No it doesn't it puts BOTH your opponents to sleep not yourself.

And it is a great doubles lead.

A team to counter the first gen rival you mean? First of all which starter does he/you have, it changes his team

EDIT: Also what gen do you want your team to be made in? moveset wise anyway

EDIT 2: Lol who needs a team to counter him, one pokemon can do it

Tyranitar@Life Orb
Adament/Naughty Nature
EVs: 152 HP, 252 Atk, 106 Spd
-Stone Edge/Rock Slide
-Crunch
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance/Thunderbolt

Stone Edge/Rock Slide for his Pidgeot and Arcanine
Crunch takes care of Alakazam and Exeggutor
Earthquake takes out Arcanine and Rhydon
Dragon Dance for more power or Thunderbolt for Blastoise

Probably not the best but I'm tired lol...

Well ive just recently discovered the awesomeness of Porygon 2.

Ive got this so far.

Porygon 2 @leftovers
252 HP / 68 Def / 80 SpA / 108 SpD
Bold Nature
Trait : Trace
- Ice Beam
- Discharge
- Toxic / Hidden power Ground / Hidden power Fighting
- Recover

Intimidated Gyarados and salamence right back lol and tracing flash fire from heatran is nothing to sneeze at.

Evs let it survive a Draco Meteor and a + 2 att dragon EQ from Garchomp.

Discharge is preferred >> T-Bolt due to paralysis and shutting gyarados down.

Ice Beam for OHKOing Dragons etc.

Recover to heal.

3rd bolded slot is driving me crazy though, Toxic can cripple walls, the Hidden powers take out t-tar and magnezone etc.

What would you suggest and which would be more beneficial ? im rather stuck ...i think toxic, but i need a second opinion

Also

Just out of weirdness, ive just been messing about hatching random eggs and got this.

Houndour

Timid Nature

HP - 26

ATT - 26

DEF - 23

SP.ATT- 30

SP.DEF - 26

SPEED- 30

0_O zomg lol !! >>>> Hidden power Fighting 70 . <<<< 0_O zomg lol !!

No, not a counter, a parallel!. Think back to GS when you battled Red. Red used a team based off the anime, but i want to "rebuild" his team, and use it as my own, based off the original games!.

Is that clear enough?.

So you want your team to be exactly the same as Gary's?
If that's the case, I'll be the first to tell you that Gary's team sucks.

I hate you. >:[ GIMME! Ha. Anyway. I personally would go with one of the Hidden Powers. With the abundance of clerics, Breloom, and Substitute, I'm growing less fond of Toxic (and the other Statuses, but I've never really liked Toxic).

Ok, I've suddenly developed a liking for Tropius. Here's two sets I have in mind:

Tropius (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP/6 SAtk/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Energy Ball
- Air Slash
- Roost/Synthesis
- Whirlwind

Special Wall. Roost could be replaced with Synthesis, since this set will work better with Sun support but Roost also helps his 4x Ice weakness (albeit reducing it to 2x). Whirling away any threats or phazers.
---
Tropius (♂) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Aerial Ace
- Body Slam

Physical sweeper. This one will NEED sun support to work properly. Leaf Blade and Aerial Ace for STAB, Body Slam for Parahax. Sash so I am guranteed at least one SD.
---

Any thoughts?

Tropius is quite the beast in UU where there are no Tyranitar, Hippowdon, or Abomasnow to screw up the sunlight. You seem to understand it needs Sunlight or it can be deadweight on your team. I don't really like either of those sets though. I can't think of it now, but I know Smogon had a good Tropius move set.

Well, I've just checked, and Smogon has chucked this up:

Tropius (♂) @ Life Orb/Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake

Which is basically the same, except that it has Life Orb instead of Sash, Adamant instead of Jolly and EQ instead of Body Slam. Though, I felt that he could use more speed, since he's gonna be SDing. But then again, they're the experts. =/
---

No set for a special wall though. I think he could make a darn good UU special wall.

If that's the case, I'll be the first to tell you that Gary's team sucks.

He meant RED:

Blastoise/Espeon/Snorlax/Charizard/Venasaur/Pikachu

You COULD remake it, but it would need better moves and it would have to be EVed.

I don't see the point of Roar on Hippowdon. If you are against a special sweeper and you use Roar, you will most likely attack after your opponent, so a Surf, Ice Beam, Grass Knot e.t.c will kill you before you can do anything about it.

I guess it could be used to force your opponent to send out a pokemon you have a better chance against, but even then you may end up with a worse situation on your hands.

I think it could be put to better use, like Curse or Thunder Fang. I don't really know though.

So I just wanna know why it's used instead of other moves?

EDIT:

Uugh, I think I might have posted this in the wrong place.. =\
