Shadow Ball offers the nicest coverage, since ghost/fight hit everything in the game for at least neutral. Grass knot will only really help against heavy waters like quagsire (Assuming this is UU), who don't like STAB'd blizzards anyway. I'd go with shadow ball for general coverage.

Am I better off CMing or with a Choice item?

For my EVD Timid Latias I need help on my last two moves in my moveset:

Calm Mind
Dragon Pulse
Recover/Refresh
Grass Knot/Thunder/Surf

anyone care to help?

Surf i find is better in that last slot for coverage also use Recover in the third slot.

And it depends on what you want Jynx for. Scarf Jynx is a revenge killer, specs Jynx is more of a mid game poke to put dents in stuff whilst Sub Mind jynx is a late game sweeper.

I was going to use this as a lead team for double battles. The aim is to make Tropius fast and solarbeam on the first turn without charging and then see what happens from there.

6 HP / 252 DEF / 252 SP.DEF @ bold would maximize its defensive potential, but meh there are better bulky waters tbh.

I'm actually running 80HP/180Def/20SpA/230SpD, Calm, so it will always survive SpecMence's Draco Meteor, as well as Adamant 252Atk LO's Outrage. Better?
