I don't see the point of Roar on Hippowdon. If you are against a special sweeper and you use Roar, you will most likely attack after your opponent, so a Surf, Ice Beam, Grass Knot e.t.c will kill you before you can do anything about it.

You'd be an idiot to keep Hippowdon in on a special sweeper that could kill it :/

I guess it could be used to force your opponent to send out a pokemon you have a better chance against, but even then you may end up with a worse situation on your hands.

Roar is for taking out stat-uppers and abusers sipkes/SR. You obviously don't get its purpose.

I think it could be put to better use, like Curse or Thunder Fang. I don't really know though.

Give me one good reason to use Thunder Fang when STAB Earthquake does more than supereffective Thunder Fang.

So I just wanna know why it's used instead of other moves?

SR/Spikes abuse and taking out stat-uppers like DDmence.

EDIT:

Uugh, I think I might have posted this in the wrong place.. =\

Answer in bold.

Most of what you said is "if if if." Problem is, nobody is going to leave Hippowdon in to get massacred by a special attacker. That's why we switch out.

Thanks. I get that I missed a lot about it now..

Btw, I was thinking of using Thunder Fang for Bronzong, Skarmory and Gyarados mainly.. =\

Bronzong takes almost nothing from thunder Fang, as well as Skarmory. thunder Fang won't even OHKO Gyarados, especially Wacan Berry ones, and gyarados can drill you with Waterfall.

Hi could someone post me a set for slow marowak? I dont think its worth speeding it up without passing to it aswell (Which im not planing on doing) So far I've got
Marowak@Thick Club
Adamant
252HP/152Att/106Def
Swords Dance
Bonemerang
Stone Edge
Fire Punch (According to serebii it can learn it)

EQ over bonemerang. The only thing's subs you might wanna break is subbing Raikou, but you won't like HP Ice. You need accuracy.

Max attack as well.

You probably will want speed as Marowak does need some of it.

Should i put Porygon Z into my team?

Whats so good about him anyway?

Pory Z is a good edition to a team because SpAtt is a beastly 135. It also has great coverage, and above-average speed. He's possibly my favorite special sweeper.

It actually has poor speed, but yeah, pretty much what you said.

The real gem is that adaptability Tri Attack of Pory-Z's, which will kill most things.

can i get a move set for lucario tyranitar, and starmie??? -thanks

Lucario is awesome.

Lucario@Choice Specs
252 SP.ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 HP

Lucario@Life Orb
252 ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 HP
Adamant Nature

Close Combat vs Max HP/Def Hippowdon: 76.43% - 90.00%
Close Combat vs Max HP/Def Forretress: 80.23% - 94.63%
Close Combat vs Max HP/Def Donphan: 82.81% - 97.40%

Oh noes lol !

Tyraniboah. It breaks walls. Thunderbolt for Skarmory, Milotic, Suicune, Gyarados etc, Ice Beam for Donphan, Hippowdon, Garchomp etc.Makes 101 hp subs that cant be broken with Blisseys s-toss, provided you have 31 ivs in hp, which allow for a Focus Punch.

Exactly!, but i don't want to use that same team. I want just want to use one starter, (Charizard) so, what should i swap for the other two starters Red uses?. (and which Pokemon are more useful then the rest?.)

Um........

You definately need a Physical Wall. Swap out Venasaur for Skarm.

Blastoise can stay, but the set needs changing.

Pikachu obviously needs Light Ball; otherwise, it's out. It can be Physical or Special, although you could run Special w/ Nasty Plot.

Espy wants Specs although it isn't the best user of it.

Snorlax wants ReSTalk.

Charizard can run Specs or Belly Drum (although BD would work better for this team). If you don't like Belly Drum, then you can DD/SD as well.

What's a better choice for my Electivire:

Electivire@Life Orb/Expert Belt
Adamant
252 Atk/252 Spd/6Hp
-Thunderpunch
-IcePunch
-Cross Chop
-EarthQuake

OR

Electivire@ ?
Lonely
252 ATk/ 252 Sp.Atk/6 Spd
-Thunderbolt
-Cross Chop
-EarthQuake
-Ice Punch/?

I'm having a "Fun" Time deciding this.. Somewhat ThunderPunch doesn't 'Satisfy' me as much as Thundrbolt does, but the I'd be losing lots of EV's just for one attack, unless I Change Ice Punch. Any help or changes you could do to this, people?

The second set would be best, but not with those EVs. Vire wants max Speed- split the remaining EVs between his two attacks.

NOTE: You only need Thunderbolt to take out Skarmory and a few other walls. Nothing else.

I personally run the first set, which is pretty good.
I'd concentrate on physical than mixed, since you keep your Speed EVs.

Well that my opinion pal :)

Hm.. by that I'm taking the First one would be best, since apparently Vire needs the Speed. Guess I'll just have to live up to ThunderPunch, then. Thanks.

Hm.. What'd you recommend as a split? Heh, I'm still a n00bzor at the EV Theme.

Go 252 att / 176 speed / 80 spatt.

I prefer this

Electivire@life Orb
252 SP.ATT / 76 ATT / 180 SPEED
Mild / Rash nature
- Cross Chop
- Flamethrower
- Hidden power Ice / Hidden power Grass
- Thunderbolt

Its alot harder to wall than the physical one with or without t-bolt.
