So, i heard joo liek........Qwilfish XP

Yeah, ive always actually liked this, mainly because its a peculiar pokemon, and i like pokemon who are weird =)

Anyways, i was thinking

Qwilfish@Leftovers/Life Orb
252 ATT / 252 HP / 6 Spd
Adamant Nature
Trait : Poison Point OR Swift Swim
- Poison Jab
- Waterfall
- Taunt / Thunderwave / Explosion / Destiny Bond / Rain Dance /Revenge / Payback
- Swords Dance / <Insert something i mentioned previously in slot 3>

The dude gets a couple of neat options, as you can tell, im kinda lost. its got nice attack 317 at level 100 along with 269 speed, which is not bad. if i go rain dance ill put all speed evs into hp and run swift swim..It also gets both forms of spikes, which is kinda neat.

Suggestion ?

I would much rather it in the Rain tbh. Allows for some sort of bulkyness. It has a decent 75 Base Def (For UU anyway), but it's weakness to fighting and ground makes it null anyway. 252 Atk/252 HP/6 Spd.

Running Payback from 269 Speed? It's not that slow, especially for UU. We can scratch that one. In the rain, there will be no need for you to slow your opponents up, so we can also ditch Thunder Wave. Revenge may seem nice, but if you have to go last to use it, you're in trouble. It's too frail, couple that with weaknesses to common types and it wouldn't take a hit that would actually do much damage back. Rain Dance shouldn't be left to Qwil to be used, so no thankyou. =P If you're in the rain, you might be better off going with Explosion over Destiny Bond. Apart from the fact the opponent might predict you and use a stat-up, Explosion will provide the same exit really anyway.

This leaves us with either Taunt or Explosion. I can't really decide, as Taunt keeps you from being phazed, although that's a lot less common in UU. Your choice there.

Life Orb may help in OHKO'ing Sandslash with Waterfall, who would otherwise OHKO with Earthquake I think.

I need a good support pokemon that can pass a speed boost to another member, while being able to take a few hits.

I was thinking the rock polish + baton pass gliscor... but does anyone have any other options? I don't want to do yanmega, it has too many weaknesses, and if SR is up, its gonna be KOd before passing anything.

Scizor @ Leichi Berry
Trait: Swarm
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Atk / 128 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- Agility
- Substitute
- X-Scissor
- Night Slash. Takes hits pretty well due to 100 base defense, max HP helps his pretty average HP.

That's all well and good but how is Scizor meant to pass those speed boosts from agility?

Thanks. And is Arcanine viable for competitive battles? If not, any other replacement fire type?
a. It doesn't do too great outside of the UU environment.

b. Infernape.

And infernape is not the only fire type pokemon that does well in competative environments... Heatran, Charizard, Houndoom, Ninetales, Typhlosion anyone?

Well, I know those are good, I just thought he meant fire-type physical sweepers.

Hypno @ Lefties
Trait: Insomnia
EP's: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SpA
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Light Screen
- Psychic
- Hypnosis / Thunder Wave. This fine for a Hypno?

If you're not planning on using NP with Hypno, you may as well use its physical attack, as that's stronger anyway.

a. With an attack - nature? No thank you.

b. Attack is 73, Special attack is 73, <.< But it's more special oriented.

c. Please refrain from rating if you don't know what you're talking about, as in only hurts others. Thanks. ~ Itachi 2008 ~

Urrmm Drifblim isnt a wall, and should not be used in any such circumstances, luvdisc would be a better in all honesty ._.. Drifblims purpose in life it to pass HUGE subs. But you do need to pump its defenses, so its subs are harder to break.

Drifblim@Petaya /Salac / Leichi berry
Timid Nature
248 DEF / 170 SP.DEF / 92 SPEED
Trait : unburden
- Baton Pass
- Hypnosis
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute

You rather max his speed [with Timid nature] so you can baton pass before taking the hit with Drifblim, who is very fragile.

You can do that, but i prefer making my subs harder to break.

12 HP / 80 Def / 216 Sp.A / 200 Spe @Timid may be better for that.
