I would have to say that the Amish would win. They would hide behind their plows until the mafia runs out of bullets, followed by an onslaught of horse-drawn threshers and angry women with butter-churning sticks surrounding the mafioso on all sides. It wouldn't be pretty.

W-O-R-D... word! (side note = i have a song by a band called amish armada.) although... i've seen the godfather and some pretty brutal stuff happens that i don't think anybody would be able to withstand... not even our amish pals with their rad hats, lack of buttons, shovels, and big zz top beards.

I bet the Amish could kick the Mafia's butt the old-fashioned way! They'd have plenty of places to hide and wait until the enemies ran out of bullets, what with all of those haystacks and corn fields around their farms. Once their time to attack arises, they won't have to worry about reloading their guns and everything because they have pitchforks and shovels, not to mention animals and loyal family members on their side! I'd imagine they're all very strong from doing so much work, as well.

So yeah, my bet would be on the Amish people! XP I have much more respect for them, anyway.
 
I think the Mafia will win hands down. Even if the Amish could go and hide in haystacks and cornfields... all the Mafia needs are some molotov cocktails, light them up and chuck them right into them.

Burn baby, burn. Amish BBQ, anyone?
 
You think the Amish don't have ways to incinerate the mafia? If they leave their barns closed for a long enough time with cows inside, the nitrogen levels in the barn could become high enough to make the air flammable. Just lure the mafia in, throw torch somewhere, and bolt the door! Even if they don't have nitrogen, just lure them in anyway and torch the buliding. Barns are dispensable in Amish coutries. They have barnraisings fifty times a day.
 
You do make a good arguement for the Amish, I admit. However, the Mafia may have ties to the black market and they can just place a ton of C4 explosives arounf each and every house and barn while the Amish are sleeping. Then, stand back and hit that button.

But on the other hand... the Amish are a non-violent society. If they saw the Mafia coming, I bet they would be friendly to them.

But, that's just me.
 
The mafia don't come without warning, at least I don't think they would in this case. The amish community targeted for whacking would have to wake up with a severed horse head in each bed just as advance notice =p

gaaa... the severed horse head scene is so disgusting... *shudders* when i saw it i was amazed that a writer would be so deranged as to have mob members cut off a guy's prize winning horse's head and stick it under his sheets by his feet... what kind of a person thinks that trash up?!

i think that the mafia could probably kill the amish...
but! they would not win. the amish are rightous people so they would go to heaven (WIN!) and the mafia are evil/murderers, so they would go to hell (LOSE!)... i forget the innitial question (and am too lazy to look)... if it was who would win, then i'd say amish, but if who would destroy the other, then i'd go with mafia.

The Amish!! XD I mean, unlike the rest of us, they don't spend time in front of a computer or TV, so they're busy buffin' themselves up and learning "the ways of the wild" as you might wanna say. XD I mean, come on, for someone who doesn't have to deal with technology and all that techno-jab, they've gotta have some badass fighting skills. XD

The Amish will throw privys at the Mafia, covering them with....you don't wanna know.
