Richard Steel's Battle Stadium

Hey guys, sorry for the hold up. There was a stray cat I saw when I went to pick up my sister, and I had to call my aunt to come get it with me, because I'm crazy about cats and didn't want him wandering the streets. It's in our dart room (extra room where a garage should be), and it's so damn cute. Only has three legs. XD Cutie pie kittie cat.

Anyways, open for a few battles.

DBsummit, BIG, Master beaver, I know I owe you all a battle.

I suppose I should use a Meowth or Persian in our next battle then. :laugh:

Taunt on Ninjask... if you had passed to a Poke that sucked a bit less than Machamp, you could have swept me with ease. And that critical hit against Weezing sucked... but even with the burn, it probably would have come down between Magnezone and Blissey, and we both know the winner there.

But I just realized how much more deadly Ninjask is with Taunt. Very cheap trick, as you said, but it still screws up hazing to the extreme. Well done!

Eh yeah, I OHKO'd someone else's Skarmory with Machamp before but I guess they must have had EVs in attack and you had them in defense. I should have at least used Dynamicpunch, I now realize it would've done the same amount of damage but with instant confusion.

I have like 60 some Attack EVs, just to do decent damage with Drill Peck when need be (and to OHKO things like Breloom and Heracross), but HP is maxed and the rest is in Defense. Maybe you went up against a mock-attacking Skarmory? I've actually seen a Choice Band Skarmory - and you'd be surprised how well it can do. Totally takes people by surprise.

Anyway, I'll be up to a few battles throughout the day, so just reply here or PM me, and I'll get back to you AQAP.

As expected, a humiliating defeat. =P I got too paranoid of that Starmie to consider any other threats and my team isn't exactly the best. <.< Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to put up more of a fight when I manage to pull my real team together. I just needed a change from constant breeding.
 
Good battle, Smarties! Sorry for the Parahax, and Will-O-Wisp missing a few times.

I had to be careful with my secret weapon when your Blissey had Ice Beam. Thunder Wave isn't as easily predictable as I once thought... but maybe that's only at Smogon. I was trying so hard to switch him in on a Pain Split.

And from the looks of it, your Starmie is Modest. Mine is Timid, and it rocks my socks. Because Timid Starmie outruns Timid Gengar for an OHKO with Psychic, but not Modest Starmie.

Yeah, my Starmie is Modest. It was originally planned to be a Choice Scarfer with Flash Cannon to surprise Weavile, but I scrapped the idea and was too lazy to breed for a Timid one. I should also rebreed Gengar due to its low Speed IV. Now back to the tedious task of hatching the good IV'd Pokémon I need for my team.
 
my gengar has decent iv's and i happened to catch it at old chateau. catching a gastly is way easier than breeding, imo, if you have a timid alakazam with synchronize(just keep throwing quick balls at them and it's never failed). synchronize makes the wild gastly timid(well, most of them) and you just catch a whole bunch and pick one with the best iv's. gastly doesn't need any egg moves anyway as its best moves are learned via TM.

and richard, i'd like to battle but i'm kind of rusty. i've been breeding some pokemon so i haven't been battling and it's amazing how rusty i got from a week of not battling. i'll challenge you a little later i think.
