If you haven't watched Rick and Morty yet, why not??

talk to mee about this awesome show, speculations, favorite moments, etc

I'm also just gonna leave this here

I looooove Rick & Morty! I've always been a big fan of everything Dan Harmon has done since Community. This Season has absolutely been amaze so far, and oh my god Ricklantis has to be the best episode of this season and the entire series ever! The amount of A,B,C,D stories, worldbuilding and development that they told in just 30 minutes was madness. :'D

Favorite line has to be from Evil Morty "This seems it's a good time for a drink, a cold calculated speech with a sinister overtone. The speech about politics, about order, brotherhood, power, but speeches are for campaigning. Now it's time for action." D=

My theory is like the popular on looming on the interwebz that is Evil Morty is Original Rick's Morty. I'd really like them to play out that storyline in this Season itself.

many of my friends are trying to convince me to watch this show

i want to... is it worth the time tho?

Yes it is, absolutely worth your time. It's one of the most finest written animated shows in contemporary times. There's meta humor, referential humor, commentary on existentialism, faith and whatnot. very very clever.

im a step closer to watching it xD

One of the most hilarious cartoons I've seen in a long while! Usually have time to watch (outside of the shows I follow), unfortunately.

Probably one of the best shows on TV! I mean just everything about it is fantastic... Action parts, the comedy, the self-aware nature, and of course the general writing! It upseated my old favorite show, Archer, with what seems like minimum effort on R&Ms part! Happy I finally got around to watching it at the start of the year!

Was really skeptical of this show when my friend introduced me to it, but I'm glad that he did because this is one of the greatest things I've seen on TV. I'm sad that the season is almost over, though.

Spoiler:

It's a fun show. Nothing to take lessons from.

Minority opinion incoming! The show itself is... okay, if kinda obvious humour is your thing. Too much "randomness" / fart (or burp, as the case may be) jokes for me. I think I'd like it more if the fandom wasn't hellbent on taking non-existing Deep And Meaningful life messages from it and then playing the intelligence card when people don't see them. I kinda compare it to Homestuck in the sense that it could be quite good but is so overhyped that it becomes sort of intolerable to people who don't massively invest into it.

mate if you're not totally committed to nihilism then you deserve to be taken advantage of by those who are

I mean, I personally can't understand how the way other people perceive a show has any bearing on my own enjoyment of it, so I can't really relate to that - a lot of popular shows/games/movies have really annoying fandoms but I'd be missing out on a lot if I let that dictate what I do and don't like, or at least stop me from enjoying it as much as I would. To me, it's a silly and fun, occasionally smart show but I don't find that it ever takes itself too seriously; if other people choose to take it seriously I don't see why that should affect me at all.

I'll agree it's been going a little overboard with the nihilism monologues, but not enough to really bother me :P

That finale thoughhh! While it didn't go out with a bang the same way season 2 did, it had a ton of laugh out loud moments for me and I really loved it. I hope they don't make us wait too long. I did start Archer a couple days ago, so I'll be filling the void with that while I wait.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

People don't understand "wubba lubba dub dub" so let's break it down. "Wubba" is a difficult word. It's not just a stupid meaningless word, it actually has an Old English and mathematical term. The Old English "Wubba" means "I am dying". The mathematical term means "x 2". So essentially it means "I am dying. I am dying". Now onto "Lubba". This is an alternative word to "alcohol". Alcohol can be deadly if a lot is consumed. The phrase now reads "I am dying x 2, alcohol". Now onto "dub dub". These words have two completly different meanings. The first "dub" is said more softly than the second "dub". The first "dub" is a musical reference to dubstep. Dubstep is a mixture of bass drops and noise all of the place in perfect harmony. No words can directly translate this, but loosely translated means "is my poison". Now the phrase means "I am dying x 2, alcohol is my poison". Now onto the last "dub". As it is said more loudly than the first "dub", this means it is a reference from musical reference from the song "Fade to Black". Fade to Black is a song about suicide. This means that the definition of the second "dub" means "someone kill me now before I kill myself". Essentially, "wubba lubba dub dub" translates to "I am dying x2, alcohol is my posion. Someone kill me now before I kill myself". Now that I have explained this phrase, it now makes sense to everyone and they don't have to feel so stupid the next time they watch Rick and Morty. I hope my superior intelligence has made everyone feel better now that the joke of "wubba lubba dub dub" has been explained

Go give that Szechuan dipping sauce a try? McDonald's is actually bringing it back with their buttermilk crispy tenders, but only in the States, I think ;__;

https://buttermilkcrispytenders.com/szechuan-sauce.html

Only at very specific locations too. And at exactly 2pm est. Nearest one is the other side of the state for me.

I hate things like this... just do it or don't, don't half-ass it just for the PR.

Many people always ask me how I was able to get into Harvard as a 16 year old who skipped 3 grades of high school. They think I got in because of my scholarly records, but no the key is the interview.

As I sat in the Harvard Dean's office in front of the board of reviewers for my application, the Dean asks me "Why should you be a good candidate for this school?" They seemed bored but I replied "Well I was born a child prodigy, placed 1st in my state spelling bee for three consecutive years, I can speak eight different languages not counting Latin, play four different instruments, I skipped grades 4 through 6, and graduated my high school as valedictorian at the age of 14. I then worked as an intern at both Telsa, and NASA." Suddenly the room burst into laughter and many of board instantly started scribbling down "No" near the application check marks. The Dean says "Sorry but you are just not the type we are looking for." But then I said "Excuse me but I wasn't finished... I watch Rick and Morty" The Dean looked at me like an idiot and said "So....?" Then I replied with a smile "And I understand all the references and subtle jokes" An audible gasp let out by the board was so loud the secretary had to come in. You could hear a pin drop and then suddenly all at once the entire board clicked their pens on the "Approved Box" and I was instantly handed a diploma and now I'm teaching advanced physicals there. I guess you can say I'm pretty smart. :)
