Hurray for newbism! XD I extend a welcome to all (including to myself) and a late introduction. Never clicked on this thread before, so it makes it sort of awkward...Anyhow, hello to my fellow roleplayers ^^

Yay!! So, I'm guessing the Summer (well, my winter) influx starts now, right? Welcome, welcome!! As the mod, I officially give you the official hug of official welcome-ness.
Welcome to the thread, silverexorcist and Vato! As a PC RPer you're not required to post here, but it sure makes you feel more like a part of the community, don't you think?
I wonder if the "summer influx" is a myth ^^' the more summers I see here, the more echoing I believe I'm hearing in the halls of the RP Corner during this time. I'm probably imagining though xD At least 10 RPs get posted in every day, probably more, so it wouldn't really be fair to call this place empty.

Gosh I feel behind.... I really don't post in here enough. Hello all new RPers and GMs! Welcome and please don't slip on the pudding.... because that would be awkward.
Oh also... contract with me please. Still working on my quota. /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ I've found a way for equal gender opportunity.
And Akio-kun, being a budding speaker of Japanese I easily understand your user. :D
And Red, the echo you hear is probably the RPs where everything was like: AMAZING RAPID POSTING... and then it dwindling to a once in a while thing.
I'd say wealcome mewcommers, but I'm fairly new as well. I signed up, in like April, for a question (that I think I solved myself later with much facepalm), but I haven't been seriously posting since a month ago (whereabouts) when I tried to join Akio-san's RP. Several times in fact XD Anyway he was really nice and helped me out. :)

Yes, as a matter of fact, this area also functions as an area where RPers present ideas and get critiqued on them, or just present the ideas for other potential GMs to take up, so if you have an idea you want discussed, just post it.

So true! And also the summer influx thing... I was gone for a month before recently, and it seems to have slowed down drastically. It's rather strange, instead of a few slow RPs, the whole site seems to run at the same speed.

I... Am not one to think about perversion, but "that exciting feeling... you know what feeling I mean." didn't make me think you meant excitement. I thought you had taken a far less classy road.

Yeah, the summer influx isn't true for myself, but for others? Yeah, most likely. I mean, in the last few months I've seen a lot of new faces around here. I'm actually having trouble finding some of the old faces. \ö/
I have to agree with what Zerin said here, mayun. xD
So, anyways, I dropped in to say hi and to welcome all of the new RPers (too many since my last real visit to name them all) and whatnot. It's a really great place to roleplay, and I hope you all enjoy yourselves. Sadly, I myself am probably no longer going to post here. Definitely not over the summer. Maybe a little visit like this one occasionally. It's just too difficult to keep up with such a large forum with as low activity as I have, lol.
Again, welcome to the community and I hope that you enjoy yourselves!
If anyone has ever read the Inheritance Cycle (aka those Eragon books), you'll know that they ended with everything completed, but still room for speculation about the future and stuff. I'm putting the rest in a spoiler, because my idea comes after the events of Inheritance.
Spoiler:
Eragon and his Dragon, Saphira, start a new dragon rider training area in the undiscovered parts of Alagaesia, and Arya became the elf queen after Izlanzadi dies. Nasuada is the new "queen" of Alagaesia, and Roran is the head man in Palancar Valley, but thats minor really. The urgals agree to participate in the dragon rider organization as well, part of a peace treaty between them and man.
As for my RP, I want it to take place 100 or so years after the cycle ends, so Eragon has built up quite a place for the riders, and has other elder riders to help him with training. Eastern expansion has not caught up to him, since the Hadarac desert hinders horses and caravans. But there are small colonies along the rivers. Eragon himself would not be a big character in this, if it were to be made. The characters would be either young riders who recently joined, or the teachers that have already learned from Eragon. There can also be normal humans or dwarves living in the mountains below. At first, the rp will just be the riders growing in their strengths and overcoming any weaknesses, but eventually a war will start further East, with another species not native to Alagaesia. The enemy would have dragons too, but the dragons they use will be more or less brutes, incapable of intelligent thought like the ones The Riders have.
If anyone needs more info on Eragon, or the RP, I can surely provide. This is just the main ideas, and I have developed a lot of this rp (long car rides send my imagination to new places). I can actually probably make an opening post for it, but wouldn't be active enough to GM it until November. (Marching Band schedule) So if anyone has input, interest, or whatever, give some feedback! ;)

Hmm . . . I haven't read the series in a few months, but there's just some minor details that I feel the need to nitpick at. xD
Spoiler:
Eragon and his Dragon, Saphira, start a new dragon rider training area in the undiscovered parts of Alagaesia(it's actually not in Alagäesia, but on a distant continent that Eragon flew to on Saphira, if I recall correctly. It's said that Eragon will never return to Alagäesia.), and Arya became the elf queen after Izlanzadi dies. Nasuada is the new "queen" of Alagaesia, and Roran is the head man in Palancar Valley, but thats minor really. The urgals and the dwarves agree to participate in the dragon rider organization as well, part of a peace treaty between them and man.
. . . now I'm going to close this tab so I don't feel the need to post any more. xD
I don't think the dwarves ever agrred to ride, something about "mine feet belong on the ground, argetlam".
And about leaving Alagaesia, I think it is just the known parts of the land. It never actually states that Eragon flies to a new continent, just that he traveled along the river past the mapped portion of the world. (I personally believe the land across the Hadarac desert is where he went, but it never specifies if he keeps going or stopped before he left the coast. You have to remember, flying the distance to Vroengard took all of Saphiras energy. Imagine going to a whole new continent.) Also, the new rider have to have a way of reaching Eragon, because the selection process happens between Arya, Nasuada, and Nar Gharzhog (however you spell it).
Spoiler alerts^ Major for The Series
I also could do a joint-GM. I'm not sure if thats allowed, but if another person and I were to GM together, we could solve the activeness issue. So if I'm too busy on Monday, he/she can gm for the day, whereas on Wednesday they would be busy, and I can handle that day.
I mean, I'm going to be able to at least post once or twice a day, bar a few saturdays (competition) and about every other friday (home football games). I just would have a few times where I couldn't keep up with being a GM AND posting in rps I'm already a part of. So thats another idea.

From Wikipedia: Eragon reworks the magic of the original pact between Riders and dragons to include both dwarves and Urgals, allowing the dragon eggs to hatch for members of their races. Eragon, coming to the conclusion that there is no safe place to raise the dragons and train new Riders in Alagaësia, begins planning transport of the Eldunarí and the eggs to a region east of Alagaësia. Save for two eggs which are kept in Alagaësia: one is to be sent to the dwarves, and the other to the Urgals. Those future Riders will travel to Eragon's new home for training, while new eggs will be sent back to Alagaësia to hatch for new Riders.
Well, it's not specified whether it's connected to Alagaësia or not, but I wouldn't think so. Besides, wasn't the Vardan once stationed across the Hadarac desert? Plus, Eragon leaves on a boat to reach the new land at the end of Inheritence, so Saphira isn't even flying.
As far as the dwarf thing goes, Orik states that he'd rather not fly but, as it says above, the pact was amended to include both Urgals and Dwarves, so there's bound to be a few dwarves that would want to fly (especially if they were chosen as a rider)
Ah, a small conversation that gives me reason to post. Interesting.

From what I remember about the boat, Eragon gets off once out of Alagaesia, and Roran/Arya take it back. I could be wrong though, as its been a while since I read it. And even if he were still on it, they were traveling down a river, which doesn't neccessarily mean they took it all the way to the sea. Anyways, its not a big detail, and the rp could easily be changed to take place on a new region. (instead of newcommers in Alagaesia, native enemies in the new land would make more sense anyway) The only major difference would be the lack of human and dwarven villages nearby. But then again, Bloodgarm and his spellcasters left with Eragon too, so whos to say humans couldn't have come along later on? Ah, but thats why Eragon left in the first place...well, those can be taken out too, and replaced with friendly natives, only not so nearby.
And my bad about the Dwarves, I coulda sworn they preffered to stay out of it.
