should i send you a patch? im not sure whther i changed much since i got the patch but i dont think so
i only edited the trainer in the event, the music played in benyuan and the msuic played after the weather change
so when you edit the script you should change that too, the music number is 0133, so the bytes would be 33 01. its the silph co music
 
er I can't do that now, adiktus slightly changed the script, so if I insert my script now with the flag than it's not like it should be ^^''
he fixed this juan thing etc.

btw I'm not very creative, but I scriptet all 7 cooks (yeah..that many) and about 4-5 persons.
When I'm done with the normal ones, I'll start the battles.

edit: I'm done with all normal persons. phew, a ship full of ppl: the nightmare of all scripters xD


there's an error in map 3.7..well, the map itself is the error, if I try to open it it says access violation at adress 000000 or so...
it's silver valley.

@adiktus: add the setflag of the badge that allows the player to use surf to the script and send a patch to me pls

edit: wow thats a flood of error messages in silver valley Oo
and whatss really strange about it is the fact thatwhen i exported a working version of the map and opened it with this rom i got the same problem
it might have sth to do with overwritten offsets or sth...

edit: i exported a version of the map without any events, map scripts and wild pokemon, i still have thiss problem
dont know what causes it
the only way to solve it is remapping it

and I'm done with scripting all battles, I'll test them tomorrow.

btw I made the captain give you the hm cut, but only after the farm event.
is that okay?

Fuschia badge let's you surf... is that the 5th one?

Well, how about if we make a battle frontier style with us as the frontier brains? O.o It could be completely optional...

I'm really sorry that I don't understandw what that means xD

(yeah..if you're not a native speaker it's abit hard ^^)

edit: I'm really pissed off now!
I spent very much time yesterday to script all the persons and grunts.
the persons are nearly all okay, but there are only 2 !!!!! of the new made battles working!
the message appeares, the screen fades like it should (a trainerbattle-fade) but then..nothing! the screen stays black. I have to check all of them again and maybe script them again..-.-'
Also 2 trainers I scriptet some days before aren't working now though they did before.
I didn't think I can be so pissed off -.-

edit: I think I found the mistake by comparing the working ones with the not working ones...the difference: the working once have the female aqua sprites, the not working ones have the male team shadow sprites...
I changed the sprite of one not working to giovanni...and it works now!
I dunno why O.ô

Did you repoint the Sprite in the game? If not, that's probably it.
 
I didn't do anything, I just opened PET, saw that SA already inserted the Shadow Sprites, used them and saved...
never repointed sprites, what do I have to do for this? :p
 
i didn't insert them, i told X to do it, because i've got some problems with unzl.gba sometimes, so we should ask him what he did. can you explain M_T what to do for repointing a sprite, Dartharon?
 
the last event is about to be fully fixed, then it wont take really long ^^
the beta testers will get the patch then, we'll see if they find something bigger.

I changed the battlesprites all back to normal team aqua grunts, and nearly all battles are working now
I'll make some healing-persons now, and then I have a question to adiktus: Did you adjust the level script?
After the flag 0x609 has been activated, the levelscript in the farm should activate (since after setflag 0x609 you are directly warped into the farm) but nothing happens ^^''
 
@M_T what do you mean? the level script doesn't work? and I didn't use the checkflag for 609... I use variable 0x7000
 
it didn't activate. (I didn't try before the boat since the man is standing in front of it).
After the battle against samara, you are warped into the farm and the script should activate.
but somehow nothing happened O.o
shall I send you a patch? Nearly everything's working now.
 
nah, you can finish it... I can wait for it XD... but seriously... it worked when I sent it to neti O.o

I'll look for some persons with old/no offsets and for not working battles, but then I should send you the patch since this script really should work :D
 
Hmmm.. it seems like you want to see the level script occur XD... well, it's your choice.. you can send it to me then I back to you, or finish it before sending to me (and not seeing the level script XD)
 
I'm finished! (at least I think xD).
2 or 3 grunts didn't want to battle (maybe they knew I had an arcanine lvl 100? xD) so I edited new grunts in PET and gave them new IDs.
I also scripted some "dont go away" scripts:
After the script with the camera movement, you can't leave upwards to hawksham and not to the right to port bydale. after talking to the man you can proceed to port bydale, but not upwards to hawksham.
after the battle against samara, you can go back to hawksham too (since you are automatically warped into the farm and are "forced xD" to activate the script, I just checked for the battle and not for the farm event.

I'll send you the patch and 2 savegames: on in front of the exit where you will meet samara if you proceed to the right, one in front of the boat in case you are bored and want to go through the whole ship xD
And pls add a setflag 0x520 or so into the level script, the ID of the man in front of the farm.
if you leave the farm after beeing warped into it, he's standing there xD
 
O.o okay... I also added the setflag 0x520 cause the man mysteriously appeared in front of the farm... did Neti perchance send you the wrong patch?

I mean... no level script... the man standing there... O.o
