Good. Even when I smoked, I respected smoking bans. People here in my state whined when they passed smoking bans in public businesses and such, but how could you possibly be against not wanting to subject other people to carcinogenic smoke? How could anyone possibly be against that?

Good. People that don't smoke don't want to smell that shit and be exposed to it, like myself. Just wish everywhere was like that, other than personal property of course.

Because an old episode on Penn & Teller proved that second-handed smoking isn't hazardous to non-smokers, and the scientific research paper was also debunked on that same episode. Keep in mind that they also admit that they don't smoke themselves, but they also don't tolerate laws that take away smokers' freedom. But then again, the episode was made before vaping was invented to provide a healthier solution for smokers.

When I come anywhere near any smokers, I get an instant headache, a pain in my chest, and I start coughing or sneezing like crazy. You can't tell me that something that causes these reactions isn't bad for me. I have to hold my breath to avoid these reactions, and besides all that I abhor the smell.

I shouldn't have to be forced to live with the results from other peoples bad habits. Smoking should be illegal outside of your own home, so we all don't have to deal with clouds of poison during our everyday life.

Whether second-hand smoking is dangerous isn't the only concern. Smoke is unpleasant. It's a nuisance, and last I checked it was generally considered okay to ban things in public if they were too much of a nuisance. I think smoking qualifies on the face of it because it spreads over a large area. It's not completely unlike playing music loudly.

This is good news, but I'm sure people will find a way around it. My apartments banned smoking but people still smoke here since no one follows the rules. My Nana is a chain smoker and it's annoying having to smell it when I go out with her. Oh and my nose gets bloody when the chemicals spread to my nose!

    I hope you don't drive a car.

vaping was invented to provide a healthier solution for smokers.

There are loads of interesting people in the world that smoke, there are loads of interesting people in the world that don't smoke but there is not a single interesting person in the world that 'vapes'. #banthemouthfedora

There's no need to be sarcastic. Yes, I do drive a car. But I really don't have a choice in this society, do I? Besides, the exhaust from cars is no where near as threatening as tobacco smoke. Not unless I inhale within inches of a running vehicle. Also, being near a car doesn't make me feel sick like being near a smoker. I've actually gotten bronchitis, that lasted for a month, from secondhand smoke before. That's never happened to me from a car, and it never will.

Being interesting has nothing to do with whether you smoke, vape, or do neither. It's best not to make assumptions about peoples personalities based on what they put in their mouth.

As much as I love Penn & Teller, and in particular l loved Bullshit, I think they hit a miss with that one. Cigarette and cigar smoke if full of horrible carcinogenic chemicals and whether we like it or not, breathing it in - even second hand - means you're breathing in those chemicals.

Plenty of scientists have stated that second hand smoke is bad for you and the less diluted it is, the worse for you. I think that the Romanian government made the right decision. It's one thing to poison your own body, it's another to subject unwilling members of the public to the same.
